Whether or not he take's a little or lot in term's of gear,he has packed on mass slowly over a ten year period and in doing so has not destroyed his trademark conditioning.but the last 2 year's he has really grown in the shoulder area and added thickness all around,could have upped regimine or found better combo.he is now a frontrunner in ever show he enter's but the olympia.
According to his article in the April 2006 issue of FLEX, Charles had nagging back problems, which kept him from performing his favorite shoulder exercise: Standing barbell military presses. Once he got healed up, the Trinidad native was able to his delts the old-school way, resulting in their dramatically increased size.
Plus, as mentioned earlier, Darrem Charles has added size somewhat slowly, compared to his comtemporaries. He's gained about 35 pounds over the span of 10 years, slowly but methodically placing higher each year. Ultimately, he recorded his first pro victory in 2002: the Southwest Pro Invitational.
