(i found this on another site, what do you guys think?)

Bodybuilders should wear SHORTS and SHOES on stage

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this may not be in many people's reality, and it certainly isn't in mine much of the time as I am a bodybuilding fan and check out pics and videos everyday, but the majority of guys out there think watching oiled up guys barefoot with a thong on is too homoerotic.

Although they appreciate guys with big muscles, and think it looks good, they don't want to see guys almost naked on stage.

Again, I forget this sometimes until I hear other guys' comments. Average joes I know comment on this kind of stuff when they see me looking at pics on my computer.

Now, one can look at these guys and say "Well f*#! them!" But I think that we can add more clothing onto bodybuilders without sacrificing being able to look at their physique.

Simply adding shoes and shorts that look like boxer briefs could do much to resolve this issue. The shoes would be low-top sneakers, so that the calves can be exposed. The only thing that it would cover would be the feet and nothing else. The shorts would be like boxer briefs, so that you can see the entire leg.

The only body part that would be hidden would be the glutes, which I personally do not mind sacrificing.

I've seen pics with Jay Cuter and Branch Warren in the gym, and they were only wearing shorts and shoes. The rest of their body was exposed so that you could judge their physique. I think this is a much better look and would appeal to a larger audience who could appreciate muscles but do not want to see "too much".

You guys think I'm onto something? Or do you want to keep it the way it is?

I think very quickly, it'd become torn-up shorts and workboots.  Worse than before.  IF there was a standard dress code, it'd be okay.

well ................i know i would feel more comfortable june 10th in shorts
(i feel weird even at the gym in the aerobics room with nobody in there, stripping down to my "posing trunks" and practicing madatories and my routine)
some one had this response................ .

quit the stupid acts you f'n idiot. the man isnt gay or homophobic as he expressed he looks at the pictures all the times. your just trying to be cool and you look like an idiot.
i agree with RS3000 all the way. Well not really on the shoes (wouldnt that look weird, i mean these guys almost naked but with shoes on?) But I DEF agree with the fact that we need to get away with the thongs. The short shorts show off enough (no you dont need to see glute stirations, who wants to stare at a guys ass anyways and getting stirated glutes is maybe the most dangerous things to do in bbing what with all the dehydration involved, getting stirated glutes should be banned anyways). I run into the same problem as RS3000 all the time. Whenever I am at work and looking at pictures on a site, I cant tell you how many people come up to me and say "WTF are you looking at? Is that some queer site?" I tell them no its a bodybuilding site and they reply "Well your looking at oiled up men in thongs. Thats gay to me." now i know to us hardcore fans this isnt gay at all, but having these huge men walk around in thongs only further pushes the idea of all bodybuilders being gay....

Shorts would obscure shredded glutes.
Shoes would obscure massive, appositional growth (gH induced) metatarsals.

Mike, will you be doing any of those self-wedgies onstage?

that outfit is fine.  But they'd only get more pink, more sparkly, and the shoes would look more and more like slippers or high heels over time.  Imagine Kai Greene trying to 'outdo' Rodney St Cloud.  it would be way gayer than any posing trunks.

They should wear the old school trunks.  Also what's the point of wearing shoes?

I'll admit that those revealing shiny tiny trunks that are worn on stage does give the impression that bodybuilders have fans who are homo gay. The truth is that fans want to see all the muscles of the male body including the ones around the waist. It's about showing as much muscles as humanly possible, including those glossy glutes, while barely covering up a bodybuilder's small (&$%#).

IMO, it should be an automatic loss of one placement if you give yourself a wedgie onstage.  It automatically takes the show from rated PG-13 to R.  And the only thing worse than the actual self-wedging is the catcalls and hooting from the 17 pocket pool champs in the audience who were just praying the Bber would do it.

Somebody should politely ask Mr. Oympia why does he expose his tight end.

It's easy. Just impose two rules:

*the trunks has to be 3 inches or wider when not being stretched out (or some homo will start with super stretch trunks)

*trunks have to cover at least 2/3's of the ass AT ALL TIMES through the contest.

i think BBers should pose naked... we could laugh at their small cocks (which would look REALLY small given their size) and their shriveled balls.   ;D

You're judging the physique and the lower back and glutes really show if an athlete is in condition. You wouldn't ask the figure or BB girls to wear something like a "hooters" outfit in competition would you?  I don't even think the fitness/figure broads should have to wear a 1 and 2 piece. It should just be a 2 piece round and they're done. Some of those 1 pieces run into the $1000s. What's the point?
