Dont like the idea of a Magnus movie unless they stick with the comic book... esp the look.  He isnt old and dried up in the comic, he is more like Gunther who might work if they sent him to acting classes for a yr.  But they need to keep the storyine something like Batman Begins, instead of the clown stuff from the previous BAtman movies, which was really nice.  Cant stand the campy/cartoon stuff. Still have to see Xmen III.  Also... I agree there are tons of mutants.  They can go with Phoenix Saga and bring in the Guardian,  they can alter the world when Xaviers was killed in his youth and Magnus reigned over the mutants vs the super humans,  and there are others.

IMO punisher and DareDevil were both way better than the Hulk.
The Hulk sucked, they could have done a great movie but they didn't.. too bad he is one of my favorite characters :(

I am a big fan of X-men but I wish they won't do another movie. they frikin killed Charles, Scott AND Jean.

I don't think I will be surprise by the wolverine movie has they did like 20 "wolverine story" in the cartoons.
But I look foward to Magneto's.

Cause of my love of the Hulk character I still enjoyed it more than Punisher and Daredevil; although, I agree that the story was lacking a bit, but it was an origin story so action is gonna be lacking...I can forgive that.   I too enjoyed Daredevil and Punisher....probably enjoyed Punisher the most....aside from the Punisher's soundtrack I thought it was a cool flick!

The great thing about X3 is that they left it open to bring back mutants........we never actually saw Scott Summers get whacked........the Phoenix character could easily be brought back for a continuation of that storyline and an extra scene after the credits revealed that Prof X has transported his mind into the body of a comatose man....they addressed the man earlier in the movie.   Juggernaut was not shown to be destoryed, Magneto was shown to still have a bit of his power (a flaw in the "cure" perhaps....could give way to bringin back Mystique).  Now that other mutants that were vaporized by Jean....well....they dead, but there's a ton of mutants left; also, we never actually saw Sabretooth or Toad "die" in X1.....lots of storytellin could be done.

Personally, I don't think the spinoffs will be anywhere near as successful as the XMEN movie franchise; granted, I'll watch the spinoffs, but I'm a comic dork.....the masses.....eh, I have no faith in them.

I think you'll find that Brandon Routh will become as iconic a Superman for the current generation as Reeve did for ours.....Reeve was virtually unknown when he took the part of Superman.....Routh will do the same today.

Never discount the power of CGI....Venom is a symbiotic shape shifting alien entity......even though that kid from the 70s show is a pathetic Eddie Brock physically it's Venom's symbiotic alien powers combined with today's CGI magic that will transform 120lbs of pussy into a 260-300 lbs of Venom!!!

Superman will come down to special effects...esp the movies to follow if he has to meet Darkside and Doomdays.  They need to take it to the limit this time around.

I'd blow my wad to see a Doomsday or even Darkseid themed sequel.

my friends were jerks and went and saw it out of town the night before they came to see me....
didn't know about the final scene, so they had to go see it with me for their second time!

it's great...bryan singer shot that scene COMPLETELY under the radar! it wasn't in the script,
it wasn't on the schedule, and the producers knew NOTHING about it until just before the movie
was released and singer's like..."hey...lookit this....i shot this during lunch one day with a limited crew..
can i put it in??"
BAM! the door opens wideeeee open

brett ratner directed X3. he's the guy who directed the Rush Hour movies and Red Dragon. also, getting back to the original thread topic. Bryan Singer is gay, so i wouldn't be surprised if there were gay undertones in Superman Returns like there were in the first 2 XMen movies. Ian Mckellan, Bryan Singer, and Alan Cummings are all out homosexuals. if you watch X2 you'll see a ton of gay references.

Yes, a lot of not-so-subtle gay references like when Iceman/Bobby Drake's mom asks him, "Have you tried......  not being a mutant?"

But the funniest line for me in X2 was when Magneto said to Rogue, "Love what you've done to your hair." ;D

Eh, people dislike the Superman character for the exact reasons fans of Superman love the character.....he's larger than life, the strongest being on Earth and one of the strongest in the universe, almost as fast as the Flash, microscopic/telescopic/xray/heat vision, virtually invulnerable, super quick reflexes, power of flight, intelligent, quick healing abilities, Torquasm-Vo kryptonian mind powers, ages slowly, cells in his body can absorb almost limitless amounts of yellow solar energy increasing his abilities exponentially and almost infinitely, he doesn't kill (that's the big one most people hate) and he believes in truth, justice and the American way (the qualities most critics hate the most).

To the critics I say eat my shit!!

Do you see it any other way?  This would setup Steele, SuperKid, the Mechanical Superman and the Space Superman which all leads to his return after his defeat at the hands of Doomsday.  Lex and the other 3 from his planet are getting old.  Doomsday and his legends would be a epic movie if they had the balls to put it on the big screen and do it right.

I hope the new Superman movie is great, I want it to be great, but the 1st Trailer did nothing to make a believer out of me. The 2nd trailer is better, but I'm still a bit worried, we will see.

I was very disappointed in the Punisher movie------I thought it was going to be a serious movie, but it had too many goofy scenes------very disappointed-----the Punisher movie that Dolph  did in the eariler 90's was better, in my opinion.

Batman Begins, of course, was awesome, the Spidey movies were excellent, All 3 X-men were good.

Except for the special effects, Hulk was too dark and boring. Bruce Banner in the movie was not a likeable character, his evil dad was not needed in the movie at all, and I only hope the sequel is more action packed and faster paced.

I'm surprised more superhero fans didnt like the Daredevil movie more.I personally think it is one of the best superhero movies ever made, and a movie like this needs strong villians, of which Bullseye (played perfectly by Colin Farrel) was the kind of villian you loved to hate, the kind where you really want to see the good guy kick the tar out of him. Same goes for Kingpin too, although I thought Bullseye was the better villian.

Fantastic 4 was ok, hope the sequel is better.

Watch out for the new Batman movie in 2008, we are probably talking about a movie that will do around 300 million in ticket sales, and of course, the Joker will be involved.

Although not a typical hero, the 2nd Blade movie had about as much action (good action scenes) that I've ever seen in a movie----that was one heck of a movie too !

Still, I am a bit worried about Supes............we will soon find out !!!
