I'm going to be at the back door sneaking my friends in.  Just come on by.  It's easy to sneak in there.  Plus if you want to buy a ticket, buy cheap and sneak up to the front.  Allot of empty seats this year.

Go at least to the expo on friday and saturday.    Saturday morning go to the olympia pre-judging.  I rarly go to the night shows as i can tell from a 3 hr prejudge whats up.......kind of.   Last year we saw cutler kicking ronnies ass on the back poses and knew it was "Lights_on" hahaha

We found out later the evening, ronnie dried up a little and squeaked by. :'(

Anyway the expo is all the fun and you see most of the pros too.

Thanks for all the advice.

Has anyone ever been to the press conference? It would be funny and sad to hear Jay express confidence that he can win while Ronnie is sitting there thinking about how his first-prize check has already cleared at the bank.

There is like a 75% chance i am goin to the O this year and it will be the first live show i have ever seen, i was gonna go to the ASC but to many BBers i like dropped out and i wasn't gonna sit in a car for hours and not see my favorite pros. Either way i am more looking forward to the expo so i can meet alot of the pros in person, i also plan to wear some kind of shirt with Getbig.com and my handle on it so i can meet other from this site i may come across 8)

I go every other year…. The Arnold one-year Olympia the next… I love the sport and money is not an issue.

They are really two totally different monsters.. I also train in the martial arts so I take in some of those events at the Arnold.

Last year we got VIP tickets to the Olympia.. Pricey but we sat in the 6th row.

Wow... Bob will be pissed Vince stole his outfit!

It all works out in the end.  My confidential IFBB sources (don't tell anybody but it's Vince Dumbum) tell me that Chick will be busting out the Terminator routine at the next Masters competition with a special guest appearance from Kamali in full robot riot gear :D

The expo is always good.  How can you deny getting hundreds of dollars of free supplements a great thing.

If you have financial issues, then make the overnight road trip to Vegas late Friday, check out the Expo on Saturday, spend one night at Motel 6, and then drive home on Sunday.

Gas should run you about $175, an Expo ticket will be $10, your hotel will be about $60, and food shouldn't run you more than $100.  Add in $50 for incidentals and you're in and out for just under $400.

Enjoy.

what about the hooker? that has to run another $60 X 2

Expo! Fitness Comp!  That's pretty much it!  You can fill in your extra time with the Figure
Comp.  It might be boring to some but they still look good.  Then... just hit the strip and some night spots.  As far as the men's show... it's abut Ronnie... esp with Flex, Shawn, and Kev gone.  Just wait for the next generation of stars in the sport.  I'm sorry but there isnt anything dynamic about Chris, Dex, Ruhl and some of the others.
Oh...Monica!

If you plan to make a weekend out of it (or longer) and do some other things then I say yes. The expo is a must like mentioned before for all the free stuff. I am a people watcher so all the characters that attend is what makes it worth the trip alone. There we get to see old friends and catch up as well. We usually just watch pre-judging and skip the cost of the night show.

The expos are always good.  I had VIP tickets for the 2000 and 2001 Olympias and I didn't go.  They were free too.  I just wasn't into going to the show.  I spent so much time at the expo and was too tired to hang around or come back once I went home.  Plus at the Orleans the cheap seats are exactly that cheap.  And you are so far away from the action you can't see shit anyway.  Really a theater that holds no more than 2000 should be used ever.  Then every seat will have a great view and worth whatever money it costs.  Putting it in an area as large as the Orleans is just dumb.

No actually she is expecting between $250,000 and $1 million.  It is going for auction there in Vegas in Sept.  Maybe you can bid on it.  And it is true about the sight.  Already a few people who went to last years show has said the same thing.

I went to my first pro show, New York.  Had great seats, well worth the price.  The audience was more exciting than some moments on stage.  Walking around the vending area, it's true....incredible as to who and what you see.
Your first show is well worth going to.  If you can't spring it now, I would suggest saving up for a different O.  Treat yourself.  I am actually going to the NJ state champions this weekend....
