he wasted more of his $350/hr time than he would have if he'd just answered the question

i didn't think of this side of it.  Almost like Milos spent $350 worth of his own time to hurt his own reputation.  Brutal two-story self ownage.

Yes, ironic that Milos went out of his way to post some PM's that made him look bad.  By the way,

Milos, I have an xbox 360 and I can't decide if I should Buy "Call of Duty 2" or wait until July and buy "Prey."  Which would you buy?

Sorry Mesomorph,
Just like Sarcev states, the problem is that You started out a little over-assumptive. As if Milos is automatically obgligated to answer your PM. And when Sarcev didn't answer, you reacted like he did something wrong.   Just because a pro posts on this board, it doesn't mean they should automatically answer anyone & everyone that e-mails them..  I DON'T !!

I delete dozens of e-mails every week without ever answering them ( and I'm a NOBODY). I'm sure MESOMORPH does the same thing. ALL OF US receive e-mails every single day that we simply ignore / delete because we simply DON'T HAVE THE TIME to respond. And if Milos answered your e-mail, you would probably have e-mailed him again with another question.  ANd this happens dozens of times every day to a BB of his level.

You guys have NO IDEA how many people approach Sarcev for autographs, pictures, questions, stupid questions. The man is VERY tolerant & patient with people. In fact, I e-mailed Milos a few years ago trying to give him some advice about BB..  It was a real stupid e-mail (I was f--ked up on Crystal Meth at the time). He e-mailed me back, thanked me for my opinion, and he told me I had a nice physique.  Milos went above the call of duty by even responding to my e-mail. And he was exceptionally nice & understanding.

MESO-You wouldn't be able to respond to every e-mail if you were in Milos's shoes either. And if you felt that someone was being pushy, you certainly wouldn't drop what you were doing & give them free advice. Milos only has 24 hours in a day also. He is NOT a prick, he is a pro-athlete that is VERY VERY busy.

Did MESOMORPH donate $$ to Milos when he rupturd his quad in 2002 ?  Did MESO send money when Milos needed help during his legal battles ? I would say "Probably Not".

MESO simply started off on the wrong foot with Milos.  ANd it rubbed Milos the wrong way a little bit. Milos decided he did not want to spend his time answering an e-mail from a total stranger, who ALSO EXPECTED a prompt-FREE of charge answer. And Milos has the right to do that. We all do.

I always like to say my own opinions but i agree 100% with this post! it was put very well!

I also get alot of pm's and emails about training and nutrition. Now i will answers questions like, how much protein should i take in, or what should my BF% be before i start dieting for a show or what 3 exercises in my opinion build best back thickness, i anwers these with no charge, but this also being my full time job, doing personal training, training programmes, diets and contest prep. So if it a training programme, diet, contest prep and even 1\2 doz questions that is going take up my time, than i charge. My fee is not as much as Milos's but than again im not in Milos's area of expetise to charge that much. I charge what i think im worth. Do i think $350 is worth Mios's time! Absolutely! I have yet to see anyone walk away from 1 hr with Milos (he will alot of the time spents alot more time than 1hr as well) and not have more than enough knowlegde that you would get from 5 or 6 personal training sessions at $100\hr. So yes i don't think its a very good deal. As i said, I spend 1hr with Milos 3 weeks before the NY show in 2005 (argubly my best ever condition) and that 1 hr allowed me to come in the way i did.  I had little knowledge on the correct way of loading and coming big, full yet dry!

I agree with the majority of posts on this board defending milos.

But, on the other hand, basically repeating buy my dvd, buy my dvd, buy my dvd is being a bit of a dick.

I remember when I was younger maybe 24 at the time, I was interested in training HeavyDuty (Mike Mentzer's HIT program). I met a guy at the gym who suggested that I check his website out and buy his first book, then make my own decisions.

I did so. Then I sent Mike Mentzer an email (and Luke, you would have to admit that in terms of being a BB guru mentzer was probably at least as well known or more well known than Milos). I just asked him a bunch of bullshit questions about Heavy Duty.

Well, obviously he was just as busy as milos would be now (probably moreso)....instead of deleting the email or sending me an email saying buy my next book...he told me to send him my number. Then he called me (long distance I might add, at his expense) and talked to me for like 1 and 1/2 hours (NO CHARGE) explaining the basics of heavy duty and answering my questions. He then told me to think about it and whether I would like to pay him to be my trainer.

I never ended up doing it, and Mike (as we all know) passed away soon after.

There is loads of free info from Milos on his site, so its not as though he never gives anything away. If he answered every email from every 120lb geek for free he would soon be out of money and living in the gutter with Sarcasm. Give the guy a break.
meso, why didn't you put your question to the resident 'experts' in getbigs training section? I'm sure they would have tried to help :-\

Well no I don't think I have a great bodypart.
No offence but if I said I have great biceps, they would be pro material.
If I wanted to say that my tris are too small for my biceps, I would simply say that my biceps overpower my triceps and make them look small.

is milos trying to stay above the commoners, the peasants, the infidel? his time is too important to answer a pm that would take him 2mins to write... what a role model... really giving back to his fans...

Jeez, bro, it's milos sarcev, not the flipping president of the united states.

Since when do you have to consider and reconsider your phrasiology when talking to a bodybuilder of all people?

He could have been a little more respectfull, but, c'mon man.

What kind of retard pays $350 for personal training?  Actually anyone who hires a personal trainer at all is a retard unless they're beginners.

So you are saying someone like Charles Glass, who have trained some of our greatest champions, could not offer no help to even a competitor at a pro level!  With guys like Charles and Milos, they can point out your weak bodyparts and show you the best ways to build them and alot of the time its doing the exercise the complete opposite to how you are used too, different hand or feet position or  an exercise you have never done before.
For eg, you are a saying a pro bodybuilder with a weak bodypart, like chest, should just keep training his chest hard and heavy the way he has been and eventually it will grow, even if if he has been training for 15 years?? thats when we turn to these expert personal trainers to bring out weaker bodyparts. Ive seen both Charles and Milos in action and i can tell you, ask there pro clients if they feel like RETARDS when they make that waeker bodypart into a one of there strong points.

A very bold statement by you!  ::)

For Getbiggers, lets please keep this post on track for a change. Thanks.

Milos,

Since my "Anyone have Milos' new DVD" got way out of control I am starting a new one..

I went ahead and purchased the DVD.

Watched the Nutrition section which was great; I started the diet 8 days ago. With the amount of Carbs you recommend, am I supposed to feel/look flat?

Thus far I have watched Ab, Ches, Tricep and Delt training......Perhaps I missed this part but what do you recommend for set / rep numbers?

Thanks in advance for your response....

#1) Train every body part ONCE a week

#2) Choose 4 exercises for each muscle group and do first two exercises (3 sets each) for "fast twitch muscle fibers" (for size, growth...hypertrophy) using heavy compound moves and failing between 6 and 10 repetitions per set.
Than choose two more exercises and use any of the advanced training principles where you would hit both - fast and slow twitch fibers - performing reps higher than 10 per set...(drop sets, super sets, giant sets...etc)

#3) As far as amount of carbs that I reccomend - certainly it depends on your goals and your present condition...
Check that nutritional DVD again and I hope you'll realize WHAT I really reccomend.

Thank you.

I am far away from looking awesome - but I appreciate your comments and compliments.
I will step on the stage ONLY IF I can be better than ever...and I am working on it...

Due to my various business activities I cannot be 100% focused on competition - and because of that my preparation suffers (I train with full intensity but I am not eating enough...and that is huge problem).

While in all my competitive years as a pro (1991-2003) I could easily prepare for ANY show with 6 week notice - this time it is not realistic...
While I am lean enough to be able to be ready in 6 weeks - I am simply not big enough...

Winning only one out of 72 IFBB pro shows that I have entered means that I am not necessarily competing to win...I compete to accept the challenges I put in front of me - and my challenge for my next show is - TO BE BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE...Not winning, placing or anything else...it is simply improving...

Milos, I remember seeing in 1987 at a gym in San Diego, I can't remember which one. You looked huge and stood out even then. Were you living in San Diego or just visiting at the time?

As I cannot answer to everyone (I am on my vacation in Aruba...) I do want to make few points.

First - I posted my correspondence with MESO - for a reason...Even though some of you would think I posted something I should NOT be proud off - I posted that as I stand 100% behind it.

I get HUNDREDS of E-mails from the fans and I try to answer EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

But, I have learned in last 20 years that SOME fans just DON'T DESERVE my answer or attention...

In case of MESO -

1- He first asked me specific training question in his personal message and than as he didn't get immediate response (like I owe him something and I need to prioritize him and immediately give him the answer while my PAYING CLIENTS could wait...) - he posted on the board FOR EVERYONE TO SEE - that I didn't respond to his PM!

2- Than he posted another time (FOR EVERYONE TO SEE - that Milos is so bad to his fans - that he care less to respond to true fan's ::) question) stating that I STILL DIDN'T RESPOND to his PM !? - like I am really OBLIGATED to do that!

3- As he already stated that he has spectacular biceps ::) (something I would NEVER say) it made me believe that this guy SHOULD BE TESTED...So, I thought that IF he REALLY WANTS to know which triceps exercise does whichever part of triceps - he should be offered PROBABLY THE ONLY DVD that does explain exactly what he wants to know.
My DVD is specialized training DVD that explains exactly IN DETAIL how to stimulate particular parts of each and every muscle group (triceps included)...

4- Not to my surprise - he responded with - I have over 30 training DVD's and I don't need another one...
So, he REALLY wants to know something and he already purchased so many DVD's - but he is not willing to buy my DVD!
He must REALLY respect my opinion  ::) when he DOES NOT want to buy my DVD...
If he doesn't want to HEAR what I have to say in that DVD - why would he care what I have to say to him in person?

5- After I offered him MONEY BACK GUARANTEE (and just to add - I would NOT even get the money from him - as he would order DVD from FITSHOW guys and they would make the money - but I was willing to pay him back regardless - JUST SO HE CAN REALIZE that I am confident enough and certain that my DVD is exactly WHAT he needs - IF HE REALLY WANTS the answer to his question) - and he refused it - I knew that he ONLY wants the FREE ride ...Also, I sensed that he could be ONE OF THOSE GUYS who is ready to jump on IFBB pros if they only choose NOT to give him what he wants...

6- Needless to say - I was immediately labeled as an IFBB pro with my head in the clouds (and who knows what else)...and he immediately started giving me advice (like I need one) and telling me that I have an attitude...etc

7- Here (on this thread) he felt the need to expose me to the world as "bad IFBB pro" who is NOT willing to help others...

So, let me ask you - does every pro owe every fan unlimited access to their knowledge and time?

Yep. that and the fact that THIS IS WHAT HE DOES FOR A LIVING. I design and build Home theatres for a living. If someones asks my advice on what's a good plasma i'll gladly tell them. But if they want me to put together a whole system for them right there I break out my card and tell them to call me when they have time and we can seriously discuss this. If they get offended.....

A: fvck them....they weren't serious

B: fvck them....this is how I feed my family and i don't work for free.
