i stared off as the latter back in 1999.  based on members pics i think most of the people start off posting here because they're searching the internet for workout advice and come upon this place....and thus the majority of the people here arent big or in good shape, but are wannabe bodybuilders.   i think your local gym might have a greater percentage of big guys than getbig does.

I personally heard about this site from a friend at the gym. I usually post at Sherdog. But this site just makes me laugh and I think it is run very well. Personally, I don't want to get any bigger, but I do read the advice and will probably follow it to some extent. There are people on here like Sarcasm who is obviously a kid who doesn't even workout, but every good site needs an antagonist(even if he isn't very good at it)

I  like GetBig because every now and then I get a good laugh, and  also I get a chance to read what the top bodybuilders and  physique contestants have to say. And of course, where else would you get to read Onlyme's stories!
