calf training question
« on: July 03, 2006, 09:04:18 PM »
hey guys
I go to a gym that does not have a stand alone standing calf raise machine. so, I've been doing the standing calf raise  on the smith machine. like for the last month, I  haven't been able to do  the standing calf raise b/c ppl that jump on the smith machine and having like ten sets  left. I dont want my calf to get cheated out of getting blized to hell.  i was wondering I've i should just do leg press calf raise. well, I get the same kind of resuilts?? or should i stay with the one legged calf raise with a db?? i know, i go to a sucky with not standing or donkey calve raise maches..

thx guys

leg press and seated calf raises if possible. 2 em at least twice a week. 4 sets of 20-30 reps

I like to do bodyweight raises inbetween standing raises but not all the time....most of the time I just stretch them out.

My gym doesn't have a standing calf raise either. I just do them on the hack squat. It seems to work great, and I like doing body weight raises between sets.
