I'd agree with you if your argument made sense, but it doesn't.

Iraq has a tiny percentage of the world oil reserves... it's not like it's Saudi or something... it's not even second or third.

No matter who's in charge of Iraq, the oil will still flow... that's how they make their money.

We're turning Iraq right back over to the Iraqis... they're no more reliable than Saddam in ensuring oil flow; probably less so.

And what's with the "200 years" thing? In case you weren't aware (most people aren't), oil's done in 20-40 years or so. We're past "peak oil".  The only question now is whether it'll be a soft landing or a hard one. Will we have switched out economy to alternative sources of energy before severe shortages start, or after?

sorry, missed that one.  I don't know all the facts... I know iraq has the huge oil reserve, as hedge mentioned.  IMO, it is to stabilize and secure the available oil for the next 5 decades, then provide a foothold in the mid east. 

i try not to get too 'bigger picture', but I do see one world govt- or a tight coalition- coming about.  I know China has a billion people and is a threat.  I know India has a billion people, and we're exploiting that resource.  I see that trend continuing.  Mnfg apex of the world could be china, tech could be india.  EUR has world of industry, and the US is very good at managing all of it.  Sad to say, but IMO that is what it will be. 

I do think there will be a tailspin should 911 info surface revealing it to be faked.  High level officials in both ENG and GER have made public statemetns calling it an inside job.  This may slow, or outright stop, US *expansion* into the middle east if we have our own fight at home to worry about, the possibility of men picking up weapons.  But I seriously doubt that will happen, as the last 2 generations lack the giddyap to stand up and fight.  Rant mode off...

canyoufeel, what is your point?  Yes, I would likely shoot to kill should a person travel halfway across the country to start a fistfight with me.  I used those family examples to refute what someone was saying that night about me being soft, etc.  I pointed out that I have seen many terrible situations in my family where violence was used, both legally, and illegally, and I very clearly know the difference.  Throwing a haymaker at someone who siad you were holding more water than lake erie at the ironman- that gets you tossed in jail.  however, using deadly force on a person intent on doing you harm does not.  \

You should use facts .
While working as a bouncer at one nite-club I was indeed charged 12 times with assault during a 4 year period . Not arrested . Charged . Only once did it go to court . I won . Now being charged 12 times may seem like alot but any guys out there who have worked on the door / as a bouncer will know what it can be like dealing with all that weekend sh*t that goes on in clubs all the world . The REAL world that is . Not the cyber world 240 where you strive for power and recognition .
When my mates and I tell our tales at the gym we are not bragging but laughing at ourselves for all the ridiculous situations we ended up in with the LAW or with mad punters . Working in clubs can be a great laugh . You should try it 240 . On the up side it can teach you honour , discipline , self control and it will sharpen your reflexes . On the down side you could get charged , get hurt ( although chicks dig scars remember  )  and it usually messes up your marriage/relationship. Maybe not for you mate with a baby on the way .

What happens is that the cops come into the club and question you , take a statement , charge you and then hand over all the relevant information to the procurator fiscal who decides if it should go the court .

I know very little about website design which is why I never pass judgement on your business but you know nothing about working in a club and having to spilt up fights between people who could be trying to kill each other with broken glassware and occasionally knives . We do search the guys thoroughly but the girls sneak it all sorts of shit . Now just likes guys in the armed forces / police law enforcement when we all get together we have a laugh about the funny side of the job because it is neccessary to take take the heat of it otherwise you wouldn't do the job or you would turn into a paranoid creature like 240 . Being charged ain't funny so to calm down we joke about who stupid we were to get caught up in whatever mess it was. For instance a bouncer at our club got charged at Christmas for stopping a guy beating the shit out of his girlfriend . Unfortunately she turned on my mate and burst his head with her stiletto heel and then all hell broke loose . So the police were called and to get themselves out of a jam the boyfriend and girlfriend accused my mate of touching her up and then hitting them both . That's the sort of shit you get to deal with in clubs and that is how even the good guys , like myself , can get charged .
