While I did champion King as top 5 at the NY Pro, and I am a big Johnny Stewart fan...

I do think that lawsuit threats are the result of inability to compete on higher levels.

First, comes the attempt to outwit.  Sometimes fails.

Second, pro will try to physically threaten.  Internet member laughs.

Third, pro will find internet kid and threaten visit. Internet kid will clean his guns and dare him to visit.

Finally, pro will threaten lawsuit.


Most pro bbers see this place for what it is, a playground to gossip and talk trash.  Most just laugh it off, or avoid the place.

with how sports are today, all one would have to do is say "steroids" and then the pro will feel awfully stupid.  what are they going to say, that they dont take them.  the judge will immediately throw the case out.  you think a judge would respect a bber and the fact that his feelings were hurt?  dont think so.

If you go to court and get sued by a BB for trashing them, with the right kinda money you just need to put in the minds of jurors that these individuals are not law abiding citizens who take illegal drugs to make money for thier career.
"Ladies and gentleman of the jury I ask you this, if they are willing to go that far as to risk health and imprisonment for income by illegal and deplorable means, is it not also easy to see how they would conjure up allegations in civil court to once again provide income to supply thier 'lifestyle'..."
Get a few expert witnesses, some parents who lost thier children to steroids to testify about the strange behavioral changes...

 The man can be seen here ..." If you show up Id like for you to say it to my face..."
It can go on and on....
No sensible jury will ever side for a BB who has a library of footage of being an ass clown.
But on the other hand you do have BB who not done anything outrageous but they dont get flamed on either ..

People who spend their time trying to gain reactions from individuals attempting to achieve something are just about the most mediocre breed on this planet.  (I know bodybuilding is somewhat of a soso case in terms of "achieving something").  You can consider them right down there with the scum of the earth trying to profit from peoples creativity (examples being any music label, any beret wearing, 30 something pontificating pseudo intellectual movie critic etc).  They'll never do anything original themselves, so they resolve themselves to attaching themselves to people who are.

That being said melting down, bringing a lawsuit against them is just giving them the attention that they crave.  Its a no no and I've tried to explain it here before.  It IS the ultimate melt down by definition.  The ultimate thing to acknowledge their worthless lives with.  A moment of true achievement for the guy who is desperate to achieve something, no matter how pathetic.
