Excuse my ignorance, I do agree he looked good, and do not doubt he indulged in viscous assistance, but thats the usual give-away(deformed bellies), where were his sites? ???

this months musclemag has a section on which bodybuilders in the past had the best bodyparts.  They listed Flex as having the best calves!!    Should have went ahead and mentioned Lou also!

Supposedly he was the pro rumoured in Muscle Mag that had over 150 sites. He had a plastic surgeon perform the shots so he wouldn't scar himself or ruin his symmetry. So the rumour says...

What kind of n00b are you? Dig up a pic of his calves from any of his later competitions and if you don't see extremely deformed and lumpy calves you are blind!

Or did he do it himself?  Here he describes shooting Esiclene before the synthol craze. "When it came to shooting Esiclene, I specialized in pinpoint accuracy.  man, I literally set the standard! What made me so good was that I used common sense.   I didn't want just one side of my shoulder to be awkwardly blown up, so I used a T-shaped, multiple-site injection formation.  I would go straight down and then straight across so the entire front side would be full and even my rear delts would be full, but perfectly symmetric."--Flex

This coming from one of the great bodybuilders....and some question why BB's are NOT considered athletes.  Man, sounds like he spent more time prepping needles and spots than he did training....What a joke!   Obviously Flex would have had a great physique without it.  He just wouldn't have had the freaky fullness he was basically known for.  I hope kids starting out in the competitive side of this freak show pay attention to interviews like this one and see BB for what it is today....A chemical game...The "sport" left a long time ago and only a FEW can still be considered "athletes".

  I recall an interview I read a few years back in which Flex admitted using it in his biceps once, but he never mentioned his calves.
