My point is you back tracking. It's gone from a point in your arguement to being something subjective.

He was talking about cuisine.  You're talking about the restaraunt scene.  Not the same thing.

No you don't get it.  Deedee does though, and says it better then i did.

Aside from the snails and the frog legs their food is far superior to english food.  But that's where it ends.

And dam England for failing over and over again in France:  100 years war & Napoleanic wars.  hehe  ;D

My statement indicates cuisine not restaruants.

And bringing up one restaraunt poll doesn't mean much as i'm sure there are many such "polls"

so i clicked on all the french names, but didn't find any born in france. it must have something to do with the Illuminati, the Rothschilds, the Priory of Sion, or perhaps even the freemasons . . . or, perhaps, aliens have been kidnapping the french zoopairmodels b/c they are truly out--of-this-world beautiful.

edit: yup, casta is french . . . i thought she was italian for some reason.

sometimes i think france says things on purpose just to piss people off. they are well aware of our opinions of them. but it all doesnt matter- when all is said and done, they are our allies and friends just like always.

Allies don't cozy up to a regime like the one in Iran behind your back.

What a set of boobs on Letitia. She was too short to be a supermodel. She was a lingerie model for Victoria's Secrets

Wups, apologise for my confusion between Nelson & Wellington.

Ozmo: Why use food as an argument in favour of France and then retract the statement only when you have been owned by factual evidence? 26% of the worlds top restaraunts are in Britain. Britain and American dominate the top 10 compared to France.

Nordic:

Here's your top ten list you got your info from:

1  The Fat Duck, Bray, Berkshire, Britain
2  El Bulli, Montjoi, Spain
3  French Laundry, California
4  Tetsuya’s, Sydney, Australia
5  Gordon Ramsay, London, Britain
6  Pierre Gagnaire, Paris, France
7  Per Se, New York, New York
8  Tom Aikens, London, Britain
9  Jean Georges, New York, New York
10 St John, London, Britain

So let's take a look at what kind of food these restaraunts serve:

The Fat Duck serves french Cuisine

Gordon Ramsay, London, Britain  serves french Cuisine

Tom Aikens, London, Britain serves french Cuisine

Only St John #10 serves British cuisine

So the English are better at cooking French cuisine? Who gives a fuck about fucking cuisine anyhow, maybe a few guys here and there.

More importantly:

Who planted the seed for the modern world? AND WHO THE FUCK CREATED MODERN DAY AUSTRALIA?

Who's language are you conversing in? And what media channel are we communicating through? Oh shit that's right, the media channel is the WWW (thanks to Burners-Lee - yup... an Englishman) and it appears that we're conversing in ENGLISH!

You also appear to be using a computer... (modern day computer developed in Manchester England)

I don't suppose you like Rugby, Cricket or Football do yah? I can only ponder where they arose...

Seems that the most powerful country on Earth was founded by a few Englishmen. They speak English too, and their law system is based on English Law, they seem to be inventive like us too!

Who gave us the jet engine and the train? Where did the industrial revolution occur?

Oh so now it's all that other stuff you just listed and not food?   ;D

You forgot about using rifles in combat... the brits were the first to do that...  That dumby Napoleon (other than that and Russia he was really brilliant)  banned the use of rifles in his army in the early 1800's.  Bad mistake for him.

Nice form on your back peddle not as good as mind though.   :P

I wonder if their is a way to find out what nationality the cooks are or WHERE they were trained.  But i don't have the time for that.... you should be thankful  ;D

anyways,

I for one love the English.

I'm currently reading the Sharpe's book Series by Bernard Cornwell.  Read 15 of the 21 books already.  After that i plan to read the 22 book Master and Commander series.  And i've visited Enlgand and toured many of the cathedrals and the Tower of London...very cool stuff.

I'm American how could i not love my brother from a different mother?  I'm just not into her cooking.   ;D

Well, you did a few posts ago.

Yes you created modern day Australia.  You sent all your convicts there when the English prisons were overrun, and somehow they managed under the harshest of conditions.

It's all about oil now... so you blame the French for at least trying to stick their fingers in the pie just a litte?

I don't even know why this fucking thread escalated in cuisine extremism... But the best FOOD is COOKED in BRITAIN.

Sure Australia was originally a penal colony but you are insulting the populous of Australia by assuming that's where the majority of them have ancestory.

One thing that i've just found on researching is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Australia_policy

Pretty crazy this shit was in effect until 1982!

Because you started it.  But true, the Brits rule as far as eating out goes these days.

Well, you started that too, and I thought twice before I posted it, but then again, I'm from a Brit colony so I can say what I want  :)

Plus, you invented marmite, and so, well, you are ALL going to hell for that!
