Mr. V, I am sure that you have you paid your dues and deserve respect, however looking for respect here is like looking for a future wife in a SE Asia sex club, although I am sure some GBers have pondered the thought.

You see, in the magical new internets world, where everyone has an opinion, and an asshole: no one but them is the master of "the owning" thing, having baby Jesus overseeing their lifting and needle insertions, the best body no one has ever seen, and is perplexed at the homoerotic subculture of bodybuilding and can't understand why the gays like it too.

So you have reached the point of origin of these paradoxes on the internet, right here on GetBig, the place where logic has not existed for years, and well the kids here, they just have fun, with the owning and the bashing and the other shit.

You know, guys being guys on the internet with no reason to to be reasonable, they are all to some exceptions the guy that when not on the internet would be quite normal, by even the fucked up standards used today.

I have a factory where I design and build my own gym equipment and have had a patent for an original arm machine. I have run bodybuilding contests and made up judging rules. I have come up with original theories about hypertrophy. I have even done a bronze sculpture of a female bodybuilder that was done purely from my mind and not a model.

I find it rather offensive to be challenged by individuals who are not my peers. You people pay your dues and then you will have some standing in the Irongame. I have participated and won events in weight lifting, powerlifting and grip events. I do not need to prove anything to anyone here. I have also studied at several universities have have a BA, DipEd and a MEd. When others have done some of these things maybe this forum will be a better place to reside. I also consider that I have a sense of humour and I enjoy the wit that many demonstrate online. I do not appreciate the knocks of the knuckleheads.

Vince (and others) - remember what is most important: we can all be friends or choose to be enemies...

I really don't understand people who would constantly attack others and usually for no reason at all or for so called "owning or meltdown"...

There are many things that we can accomplish here other than WASTE each other's time with that nonsense...

Vince is someone who should be highly respected among us (bodybuilders) and IF he offers us his opinion about something we can all listen and possibly get involved in discussion and express our opinion...but what is the point of attacking him (or anyone else for that matter?)...

Vince, I am sure you know that you cannot please everyone and that few guys here will attack you even if you say that you "love them"...They just can't help themselves and they absolutely MUST respond with some hatfull comment...So - just leave them in their own misery...Others (me included) might be interested in what you have to say...

I respect integrity and intelligence. I try to get along with dimwits and everyone else. Many imagine they are equal online but that is an illusion. Sure you can always say things to upset others but I have never needed to do that to feel good about myself. I have personal standards and I apply them to my behaviour on the internet. If I get attacked by some then that is what is to be expected on virtually non moderated boards.

That I have been able to communicate with stellar guys like Milos means more to me than getting applauded by the flotsom on Getbig.

I laugh out loud quite often when reading some of the threads here. So it can be an entertaining place. It reminds me of what I saw in the original Golds Gym on Pacific Avenue in 1968. Some big guys were teased by others. I concluded that the operating principle there was to put shit on others if it made you feel good or got others to laugh. Nothing has changed since the good ole days.

Most people here don't want to make it in bodybuilding, they're just a bit interested in it and even more so interested in the strange culture that exists on this particular board.

Vince, getbig is popular because of all the hatred and bile. If you can't handle that then scurry off to mayhem where you'll be treated like the 'legend' you think you are [you popped a few dbols in the seventies - so what? I don't think that makes you a legend, just a bodybuilder. No different and probably no worse than the rest of us on here].
Despite all the negativity we still get Priest, Bob, Milos, Wood, Rainbow and Shawn regularly posting here: what other board can say that?
