That's nine miles basically straight up (7% grade). Estimates say he was pushin' over 800 watts. A typical cyclyst does about 400. Most recreational cyclists cannot even make it up without walking.

First off, Lance has gone up the Alpe well under 40 minutes, more like 37. Pantani (dead, EPO OD) holds the record.

Secondly, sustained 400 watts up a climb is elite class in cycling. Sprinters can make in excess of 1500 watts in a sprint.

Why thank you, but I'm pushin' 40. But Duez isn't a cat 4 climb. As I said I'm a cat 2 rider. I've won some, but with family it's hard to devote the time and energy to try and be a cat1(pro). I went from being a 235 lb bber to a 175lb bike racer.

lance was an average cyclist for the long tournaments like tour de france before his "cancer treatment". i mean of course you are a heck of a cyclist if you can just start there, but cīmon, he wasnīt even a threat to crack top 20 at the tour.

Yes, that Lance is the way better cyclist. Lance is so much tougher mentally than Ulrich that it isn't even a contest. Thats what seperates Armstrong from Ulrich.

In a way I take that as a compliment. In an issue of MD they said that most serious steroid users have a very hyper-masculine view of what a man is supposed to be/look like.

As for Lance, I have respect for his accomplishments. I just can't understand why a man (and other men) would want to look like him and think they look good. Its not like their ripped, they've still got flab. I personally think their perspective, though valid, is far more warped than mine.

And as the photo you've posted proves, the Aryan Mountain of Muscle clearly has great fashion sense. As far as "hoes" go, one has to look no further than his wife - the lovely Simone - to see that the Big Man is also quite a hit with the ladies.
