Steroids to heaven.
« on: August 28, 2006, 09:07:01 PM »
Don't move this Zack.  ::)

I remember this show as a kid.  There's some very good social commentary in here - it's pretty funny.  There are also some inaccuracies like the suggestion that going off steroids would result in a roid hangover lol.

You've never had a 'roidover'? Or you've never used roids? (first guy)

Never used but they don't cause withdrawal symptoms, at least not ones which manifest physically.

well if youve never used...how do you know?

They don't cause withdrawal symptoms. However, they do cause some dependance...Not to the extent the opiate based pain killers Daneilson takes. However, who here isn't tempted to shot some test after a cycle...You know that shot wull make you feel much mo better...

Steroids don't cause physical withdrawal symptoms.  It would be scientifically and literally impossible to experience them.  What part don't you understand?

those studies wheren't conducted on Mass monsters using grams of test..But on men who probally use 125 mg cypoinate every three weeks...MAtt no offense, you don't know shit about steriods...Until you actually grow the balls to complete a cycle..

Hmmmmn says the man thats never used....would you say the same about heroin or coke? Maybe ciggarettes, alcohol...Ive used all of these things and am not addicted, however science would lead us to believe that they are 'addictive'. So spin that around, your science that says steroids arnt...can that not also be flawed?

Thats the difference between logic and ignorance

write that down

let me offer you some advice when arguing about something you have no idea what your discussing, especially with someone like Bigger Business

keep youre answers short, dont swear, offer objective arguments yet keep them witty. Cutting and pasting, links etc. people dont care about...they want to be entertained and thats what I do

Thats why I always win  ;)

"Strawman argument".  I would advice you to look up that definition in an article on fallacies.  Almost anything can have an addictive potential but not all have a route which manifests physically.  Steroids are most definitely the type of drug which have a very weak physiologically dependence, if any at all.  Steroid users do not call up their dealer at 3AM to get their fix.  There may be some degree of mental addiction to steroids depending on the user, but just about anything can be addictive in that manner, even getbig.com.

Not to be condescending but you leave me little choice - perhaps you don't understand what science is.  Science does not refer to media conjecture and tired fallacious rhetoric.  Science is the system of gaining information using empiricism, through direct experimentation and systematic and falsifiable methodology.  I would go on but I'm not even sure if you know what the scientific method is.

By saying so and ignoring my points?  That only shows your ineptitude.

ho hum

now ya just making yaself look like a silly and uneducated

you sure you want to go on with this?

I will say one thing-

Matt may not have experience with gear, but he is a very analytical guy.  I would recommend you all have a point by point debate on this - despite how most people are, from my experience I can say that Matt is open to change his mindset when he does see new information.

Plus it'd be a great topic to read, for the rest of us.

Good assessment Rob.  Yes, I am open to changing my mind.  I even see some people who seem to need pot daily.  However, there is a distinction between a physiological and mental addiction, although sometimes the two go hand in hand.

I hear ya.  i have a brother that needs to toke daily. I don't get it.

dear 240

I have no idea about the 240 vs chick debates but maybe this guy will listen to you. He leaves himself open to some pretty obvious ownings, in fact double posting the 240 chick thing is just another meltdown example.

My argument with him is done...im right, he can analyze that as much as he likes...you of all people no how I roll

???

You haven't even made an attempt to debate the issue.

there is no debate...thats the point

you say you cant become addicted to roids, then you say you can get addicted to getbig and weed??

so you kinda shot yaself in the foot...thats why its over, i dont have to debate, just push the right buttons

look, you seem like a nice kid, what i know cant be learnt in books, in time though you may scratch the surface.

This has been my good deed of the day   :D

Steroids don't cause physical withdrawal symptoms.

However, there is a distinction between a physiological and mental addiction,
A lot of times the distinction is very hard to make. If you feel bad and depressed after a cycle because your neurotransmittors are out of whack isn't that a physical problem? Neurotransmittors and neurochemicals are part of the physical IMO.
