Roger Federer is easliy.  He has won 8 grandslams (will be 9 tomorrow).  He has done this since 2003. And since 2001 he has won 40 singles titles.  That's 3 years for Grand Slams and 5 for singles titles.

Pete Sampras the current "best ever" won 14 Majors and won 64 singles titles winning his first Grandslam in 1990.  So it took him 13 years.

Tiger Woods has been on the tour for 10 years and has won 53 PGA tour titles and 12 Grand Slams

Jack Nichlaus won 18 Majors over a 41 year span.

Roger is winning twice what Tiger is but tennis is not nearly as popular as golf.

Roger wins easily.

Golf is a harder sport to dominate so I say Tiger hands down. Its a lot harder to win a golf tournament than a tennis tournament. To win the US Open in golf you have to beat like 153 other guys. In tennis you don't have to beat so many other competitors. Tennis is an easier sport to dominate than golf. In tennis the competition falls way off after a few top guys. In the golf world the overall level of competition blows tennis away.

True Adonis is the most dominant athlete. He eats ice cream, drinks 24 cans of diet soda per day, and has posted 50 pictures of himself in a tanktop. You simply can't argue with success.

Tiger is easily the most dominant with Federer a close second.  In golf, you are playing everybody.  All 125 or so guys who start on Thursday are on an even plane.  However, even in Grand Slam tennis events, you have to win seven matches to get the title.  Difficult no doubt, but usually the top seeds don't even get decent competition until the fourth round.  Also, consider that Federer has arrived in a time where there is not a true rival.  Nadal on clay, but that is all.  Agassi, at 35 years of age, almost beat him at age 24 in the US Open finals last year.  Agassi at 36 and with a gimp back beat the 8th ranked player in the world this year at the Open (Baghdatis).  Do you really believe that if Federer played in the time of Agassi, Sampras, Becker, Courier, Edberg and the like he would have been as dominant...the answer is no.  He still may have been the best; this is debateable, though.  Tiger would have dominated any era.  That is clear.  Wariner, the sprinter, is the MJ of track and field; he is amazing.  I would have loved to have seen him race against Michael Johnson.

You "golf experts" that keep babbling about Woods probably don't even realize how dominant Annika has been since 2000.  Of course most of you didn't know golf existed until Tiger and Nike told you. hahaha turds.

Funny thing is I was into golf and playing with my dad before Tiger came along. I was like in elementary school and hated when people thought I liked Tiger and that's why I got into it but truth is my dad always played and watched it on t.v. and that's why I got into it.

Fedor Emelianenko! Best heavyweight MMA fighter. He destroys all competition, whether you're 2nd best in the world or 50th, you get dominated.

Ok, Tiger has won five straight tournaments including two majors.  Annika has won one this whole year.  Tiger has 12 mojors; she has 10.  Annika is also older.  You do the math ShowStoppa. Tiger is better.  Now Federer, in two years this may be a moot discussion once he wins the Grand Slam.

He was the reason I made this post.  He seems like the most dominant tennis player I have seen in 30 years

You have one bad day out of four in golf and you can still win the tournament or place high, but have a bad day on the tennis court and you go home.  There's no defense in golf either.

who here besides me gets really annoyed when golfers, race car drivers, etc., refer to themselves as athletes? You've got to be fuckin kidding me! What's next, ping pong? If the game requires an athlete to play it, then it becomes a sport- otherwise, its just a game! Absolutely ridiculous-

they may not be athletes but those are sports. what is the definition of sport? hunting is a sport, golf is a sport, pool is a sport, chess is a sport, racing is a sport.

i would say tennis is much more harder to dominate in, i.e more taxing on body, playing surfaces differ and people speiclise onc ertain surfaces so i would say federer and also he is a relative newcomer to the sport and is winning more, and breaking records faster than most in otehr sports.

Anotehr athlete (if you class it as sports) is Sebastian Loeb in Rally Races. He has won 27 races in four years, it took previous holder Carlos Sainz 14 years to get 26 wins. Loeb has won the most races in one season, has has the most succesise wins in a row, won a single event (the german rally) 4 years in row which has never been done before. He has got at least another 8 years left in him so he may become the best rally driver of all time.

Also Micheal Schumacer was dominant in Formula one for about 5 years, he was so domiant that they changed the rule to make it hard for him and Ferrai to win.
