Cro Cop has gotta be the best striker in MMA.  I figured he'd take Wandy, but I never expected that brutal of a KO.  Big props to Mirko!

i though this was going to be a close fight, and i thought that Wandy had a slight chance of victory if he could find an opening. Crocop hasnt been his best lately so it was a great time for Wandy to beat him. However, Mirko was on song and looking as good as ive ever seen him. to walk through Wanderlei Silva the way he did is something that has to be seen to be believed. Had i not seen it myself i would have convinced myself that Wandy was atleast equal up to the KO

The best part of this is all the guys who were calling him washed up and passive after the Hunt fight on NYE are alread attaching themselves to his sack.

Hunt is supposed to be the new threat to Fedor, but not at this moment in time. Crocop had a bad day just like everyone else has, he is now back to his absolute best and in this kind of form he is more than a match for anyone including the great man himself. The best thing he could have done for his career was win this tournament and he did it with relative ease.

Hunt got nothing on Fedor.

It's all Crocop and Fedor now.

I just wish it was chuck who did that to Silva first. Their fight (if it happens) wont be much different from that.

Chuck hasnt fought anybody that will come forward continuously like Wandy will, and it'll take alot for Chuck to beat him. I think that he has improved considerably in the last 3 years, and i think he has an excellent chance of winning but it wont be a 1 way fight. Wandy has every tool in the bag to beat someone, he will just knee the shit out of you until you cant lift your arms, and then just keep doing it for fun. Chuck would have to be over twice the fighter he was against Randy to beat Wandy. I want to say Chuck for the win, but theres always a naggig doubt because of who Wandy is.

I just hope the fight happens one day whilst theyre both still at their respective best to settle this once and for all

the couture wins don't mean that much in my mind

would randy retire after getting knocked out if he still thought he had it?

don't think so

If they fight in the UFC chuck should take it.

Chuck has beaten Tito and Vitor who have both beaten Silva. I know that fight maths dosent work but its still a guide to what could happen. I just dont know why so many people are convinced that it will be an easy fight for silva.

I have to say that im not totally convinced about my own pradiction but that how I see it happening.

in the same respect, Wandy has twice demolished Rampage with relative ease. Nobody knows how it will go until they fight, the only thing i can say is that it will be a hell of a fight if it does happen.

The win over Couture was what Chuck needed to make the final step up in his career. At the time Randy was deemed as the best in the world, and he was walking through some of the best fighters of that time - Tito and Chuck included. granted he was passed his best but he was still the champion and fighting better than anyone else in UFC with the possible exception being Arlovski. Now Chuck is the champion, it gives him that extra desire for a fight - to go home with HIS belt

crocop vs josh weight was a factor though. and that korean - damn he was big. didnt look it because they're both big but ive only seen ricardo against much smaller fighters before.

Yeah, Barnett had a good 40+ lbs. on Cro Cop... that's a lot more significant then the 3 or 4lbs. Cro had on Wandi

Styles makes fights, and Fedor matches up well against Mirko.  After Mirko realised that his best didn't hurt Fedor, he was tentative.  Same as the Hunt fight.  Mirko made the mistake of trying to keep the fight standing with Hunt.  Anyone who does this is doomed to be KTFO.  Hunt's head is made of concrete.  Fedor would have taken Hunt to the ground and submitted him in less than a minute.  Had Mirko done this, he would have beat Hunt.

problem is crocop doesnt have much of a groundgame. he has won by submission one time in his whole career.

The way Hunt was dominated by Barnett makes me think that putting him in with Fedor would be a slaughter. He didnt throw any meaningful punches, was taken down with relative ease and subbed by a guy who knows what to do on the ground. Nobody is close to Fedors level and with his ability, he would maul Hunt and hurt him at will if he got him down early

Hunt has the puncher's chance, and that is it.  Fedor won't let his ego affect the outcome, he will take him down and g-n-p or sub him.
