Though the pics of Kamali as from far away - his gut is so noticably smaller and better in these pics, it's unbelieveable.  He ruined himself.

no doubt. I remember when he first started getting in mags...my boss said this guy will go no where. I laughed and said how do you know that?? Looks like he was right.

no it doesn't- few people actually think Dorian deserved to beat Ray in 1994 (dorian was outclassed in every feature with the exception of lats and overall size)

and many feel that Haney did not deserve to win in 1990.

The only difference between these and Ronnie/Gunter is that for the first time ever (in order to sell tickets to the Olympia) the judges actually gave the win to the challenger and not the champ.  Normally, this would never have happened.

But they had to sell tickets and hype the PPV, so it did.

But:

should it have? I think not. Ronnie owning Gunter in all these shots.

Gunter was bigger. Not better. If anything, Chris could have beaten Ronnie (it was close because Ronnie was small and way off) and Gunter should have been third.

I have never bought into the whole "big blocky guy beats far superior in most ways but smaller" more shapely guy argument.

Bodybuilding should be judged on physical characteristics (of muscle) not physical size and stature.

ie:

this

should never have beaten this:

just because of a physical size difference.

I think Cormier looks noticably less conditioned than Ronnie and Gunther. Especially on all the back shots, Ronnie and Gunther are obviously better conditioned than Cormier.

From the back I think Ronnie looks slightly better in these pics, but I think Gunther has him in side and front poses, particularly in abs & thigh and side triceps. Ronnie looks less conditioned in the front, giving that up to Gunther, and his side triceps has been weak in the past IMO.

8 consecutive Olympia wins and being the biggest Mr O ever should leave no questions about  R.C's dominance!

I think The real deal should give up on professional bodybuilding and just be an old man.

But the great Ronnie - lost!
Dorian never lost on stage and neither did Haney

He is dominant and will always be Mr.O  - the point was that he is BEATABLE !

Cormier loses to Coleman on back.
He loses to both on hams.
He beats both on calves.
All are equal on side tri.
Beats both on abs/thigh.
Loses to both on side chest.

Very hazy analysis there, but judging from those pics I wouldn't give it to Cormier.

Yeah but Kamali's arm looks absolutely tiny.

No, 100% wrong there. Lennox wisely waited till Tyson was a shadow of his former self to fight him in 2004. Lennox went  pro after winning the Gold in the 1988 Olympics. Had he fought Tyson in 1989 Lennox may have gotten his ass handed to him like everybody else did.

wrong. lennox wanted him in in the 90's when he got out of prison, but don king didn't want to mess up his cash cow and paid lennox 4 mill step aside money so tyson could fight holyfield.

they underestimated the old man though and the rest is history.

ronnie should have said, "blah blah, but nobody wanna take truck loads of slin, gh, igf 1, steroids, t3, clenbuterol, dnp, synthol, implants, etc, etc, etc.

not that there's anything wrong with that.

and cormier should have done some fucking work in the squat rack!

No, not wrong. He was not the same fighter after he got out of prison (1994 or '95, I believe) as he was in 1989. Hell, he was not the same fighter in 1990 as he was circa '86-'89. If Lewis had fought Tyson after prison, he would not be fighting the same Tyson he would have faced in '89. Big, BIG difference.

he got beat while being mr o.  :P

and the only reason he did, was, as we can see from the pics I posted, to sell tickets. :-\

out of the pics I posted it looks like Chris beats Ronnie in the ab and thigh, but nothing else.

It looks like it should have been:

1. ronnie

2. Chris

3. Gunter

but then no one would have cared about the O. that year so Ronnie got shafted...

"everybody wanna be a bodybuilder, don't nobody wanna lift no heavy ass weight!"

After listening to the show tonight I get that everyone wants change in bodybuilding, but nobody actually mans up and does any work. Everyone just whines and writes and talks about it. Hopefully change can't happen only once a year after the Olympia Press Conference?

Dude, if your going to quote the man himself, then make sure you say it right!

"Evribady wanna be a bodybuilda, but don't nobady wanna liff no heavy-ass weight"

All of those pics illustrate 2 things.

1. Cormier is the one who should have won that show, Ronnie second, Gunter third.

2. Doesn't matter what year it is, there is always a fat bloated retard in the background.

ronnie kills cormier in legs, especially glutes, hams, lower back.

cormier needed more time in the squat rack and less time on the crack.

Ummmm.....Both Dorian Yates and Lee Haney lost on stage. Haney placed third in his Olympia debut in 1983 to Mohammed Makkaway and Samir Bannout (winner). In '84, Haney won the title from Bannout and never looked back.

Only two men have defeated Dorian Yates on an IFBB stage: Mohammed Benaziza beat Yates at the 1990 Night of Champions; and, Haney beat Yates at Yates' first (and Haney's last) Olympia in 1991.
