Thanks, I apreciate it. I never carb loaded before and I think that I needed a couple more days. I think if you see some pics from the night show, you will see a different guy. I do fell my placing should have been 12-13th. Anyway, Jimmy mentis and I spoke on this and he feels I was about 60%. I missed the maek as I stood on stage, I was going flat, and getting watery. After I ate, I looked much better. Still all-in all, I think, factoring in my missed loading, I did okay.

I belonged there.....

Well its all trial an error,I personly think that if you want some more testing on this subject you can try a diffrent aproach, you can stay at around 4 weeks out shape and try loading/depleting on your offseason and see how that goes.

It may not be fun but it might be a good expericance to see how that works for you.

Anyway ,good effort and good luck next time.

Missing your mark is one thing but coming into a show needing another 8 weeks of dieting is another. You were definitely not lean enough and all the carbing up and water manipulation in the world wouldn't have made a difference. I have read many of your posts about how you were the next big thing. How Daram Toma "couldn't carry your gym bag" and all the other crap you spewed. The guy just turned pro this past weekend. Looks like it all bit you in the ass. I am not hating on you Jack but sometimes it is just better to keep your mouth shut and let your physique do the talking on the stage.

I apreciate all the comments made. I was happy to be there. Jimmy Mentis had me cycling my carbs and I was going flat onstage . As I ate, at the night show, I looked better. Anyway, I feel that I copmpletely missed the mark for many reasons. For now, I am taking a break, but still was no where near my best.

Thanks....Jack

jack....what did you do for  your carb up....how many days? what carbs did you use?

All is correct. I went and ate, after prejudjing, and drank water, I came back looking much better. I am going to wait till next year, and work with Jimmy, in the offseason, to come in better at NOC and then in Barbados....

Wait to see the pics from the night show, I am a different person.  But, too late. Still though even at my best I would have been 12-13th, not even top ten, those guys were that good.
Pics are from the night show, chunk. You are no different, please stop embarrassing yourself. Those guys were not that good, you're just that bad.

This is what you're "Mr. Internet Olympia" looks likes hahahahahahah

The 2 biggest mistakes Jack made was to promote himself so heavily on the web as the next big thing....I know he was excited about becoming a pro,but just promoted himself so much that if he failed he was bound to get a lot of shit for it.

The other mistake was going up to 300 pounds off-season..........just no need to have to carry around 65 pounds if it`s all fat.

It's always some "last minute mistake" (or politics like in the NPC show Jack did). While that can affect things to a degree Jack just doesn't have what it takes to be a "Pro". It's not like a last second mistake strips off 25lbs of muscle and adds a couple of pounds of fat to the back. The leanness in the lower body was impressive though.

You have nothing to apologise for Jack you looked good.Maybe alittle flat in morning but so was i after all these years it is still a learning thing .But you did the show dieted down and did the best you could on that day.Which is still 100% more then the knockers on here have ever done.:)

Gotta jump in for my boy here............
Jack was extremely overweight (aka: fat) earlier in his life, that is where the loose skin comes from
(i believe he has had some sugery done on the area) he needs more (a tuck or whatever the f**k it's called)
he fixes that,comes in bigger/fuller harder/dryer
he will do just fine.................... .don't write him off just yet
Jack will be back
count on it...................... ...............Mike

Translasion  More expensive plastic surgery, more juice, more diuretic use.... blah, blah, blah same ole....

He obviously overdieted for this show, very badly.  Didn't carb up enough as well.  Very similiar to what happenned to me

Another way he is similar to you is that YOU BOTH HAVE SHIT GENETICS FOR BODYBUILDING.

Jack and I got together when he was 5 weeks out. I saw pictures of him and noticed that he was losing "weight" too fast. I called him as a friend to see if he needed a second pair of eyes. He asked me what I thought and I gave him my opinion that up to that point he was not eating enough and was over dieting and his body was in the red. We created a plan of attack to drop the bodyfat as much as he can but his body was just in overdrive. We tried high carbs a few days, medium and then low but he was still was losing weight and flat as a board. Jack was stuck between a rock and a hard place. We had to take a chance, either come in fat and full or drop some more bodyfat and take the chance of not having enough time to fill out. I am not saying that his only problem was filling out..he did need to lose about 8-10lbs but these are the situations a person is put in when time is a factor.

I truly think Jack really cares about how he looked and I'm sure it's disappointing to him. He is a true fighter and I'm sure he will make up for it next time. I am personally proud of him because I saw his struggles and he kept his head up high and should continue to.

Good job Jack.

i will gladly admit, this bodybuilding stuff is new to me. my main interest in life has been fighting.

in a fight, u lose there is not only mental and physical pain, but everyone calls you a 'bum', a 'mug' etc.

funny thing is, all these guys that say that would have a heart attack if they found themselves near a ring. they justify their disrespect by saying, 'well, you're a professional.'

ha ha. well any of you turkeys have a bad day on the job???

i love fighting and i work on my strength and conditioning hard, but my respect for bodybuilders is going up and up.

thankyou Jack for having the balls to come on hear and face the music. that sort of stuff inspires and motivates me more than anything.

i hope guys like you, jim, mike (yes, mike arvilla) and lee, keep your thick skin on because for every knocker there is about ten very real fans that admire the hell out of you.

"The Rhino"... Can we finally put this silliness to bed now?
« Reply #118 on: September 18, 2006, 08:53:15 AM »
After enduring all of "The Rhino" nonsense for the better part of the year, he shows up looking like that?

Then he has the nerve to implicate Mentis?

Then at one week and two weeks out he states that he is his best ever, only to now back pedal and state that he was nowhere near his best?

Breaking news.... I was just informed that while prejudging was occurring, the janitor came out on stage to wipe up the floor and in doing so the judges actually placed him higher than Jack.

Yes Hopefully the "Walrus" and the PDI in general will just fade away. They have been exposed as third rate material. I feel bad for Lee Priest having to take that joke of a contest seriously. I wonder how he REALLY FEELS about hitching his wagon to the wrong horse.

Again If Jack was a humble amateur and appeared like that, yes props to him for dieting, training, having the balls to step on stage, and showing up and doing the show.

But that is not the case here.  The dude was a cocky "pro" who could not even have placed at local show.  One big reason it is good to keep quite and let your physique do the talking on show day.

Jack;
There is no possible way I could be more proud of you then I am right now.

All along you said it wasn't about the winning but the fact you were going to do it for the love of it.
I want you to remember this smile in this picture and the reason for it.  This is a true feeling and the reason why you ever picked up a weight in the first place.  When you step on stage again like you said you will do, do it again for the right reasons, the ones you hold true to.  I believed in you before and nothing has changed.

Thank you doll, that means alot. You are too good to me.

Lee, thank you, not opnly for the words, but as always..treating me like a gentleman. I have know you for years, and have always thought the world of you, you treat as an equal, even though I am no where in on your level.

Lee, i will always look up to you, as a bodybuilder, and a freind...congrats...you deserve it!

To the rest... I certainly missed the mark, but even at 60% I still was not last, as many said I would be, and I belonged there.

Next year I will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you respect a "pro" that acts this immature. Can you imagine someone like Peyton Manning getting into an internet feud w/ one of his competitors.
