according to MMAweekly Cro Cop told Pride boss Sakakibara that if Silva isnt ready for a fight against Chuck in November then he would take it in his place. Now we all know the Silva fight isnt going to happen, Dana White himself said it. He looks down at Wandy now because he got the shit beat out of him, although i personally think a Wandy Vs Chuck fight has a better attraction that a Chuck vs Mirko fight.

Pride say theyre awaiting an offer from UFC, but i think its all bullshit. When it was ready to go through, Pride wouldnt commit their man (one of their prize assets) and i think theyre looking to gain exposure for their upcoming Vegas PPV. judging on his current form, Mirko would demolish Chuck unless he allowed Chuck to tee off on him. Doesnt matter who you are, if he cracks you then its game over. But i think Mirko is too good for that right now.

Mark Hunt has also been added to the upcoming card against Butterbean

Cro-cop would smoke Chuck like a cheap cigar. It's a damn shame there is no chance that fight will ever happen.

which fight are you speaking of? because Chuck has been the favorite to win every fight he has had of late.

As in any fight, each fighter has a chance at victory............but, if you reallycompare each fighters strengths and weaknesses I dont really see how anyone could not see this as a win for Mirko.

but, when it all comesdown to it this is just a fantasy fight and the chances of it actually happening are slim and none.

At this point the only real competion I see for Mirko would be Fedor, which most would agree would go the sameas there first match. Fedor is king

Extremely bad matchup for Chuck. Mirko is a southpaw, with the BEST sprawl and brawl defense. Randleman, Coleman couldn't take him down. Right foot hospital, left foot cemetary. His striking is crisper (straight), and his kicks are phenomenal. His mastery of Silva showed how methodical he was. Left crosses to the face, low kicks to the body, then the money shot to the head for the KO. Crocop by whatever he wants. In the cage, he would be even harder to take down.

I don't understand dana's logic in making this fight

he said he had nothing to gain with chuck fighting wandy, what will the ufc gain by their number 1 guy getting killed

atleast he had a chance against wandy

i cant believe youre trying to compare Babalu to Mirko! Crocop at the moment has 1 challenger and it would be a much closer fight on his current form. Chuck has the power, but he would have to have the fight of his life to win and hope Mirko completely loses the plot and fights shit.

I have seen a few of Cro Cop's fights on fox sports, he looks alot bigger than Chuck, is he, from what I have seen, he is one hell of a figher, I like Chuck, I am more of a UFC fan, but that Cro Cop is one nasty MF'er

I was thinking of babalu ( i think thats his name).. It was liddels last fight i believe. I know im alot of help here lol .

They match up pretty well in regards to size, although i think Mirko is an inch taller (

) and has about 10-20lbs on Chuck easy. His striking is more accurate and whilst Chucks knockout power is evident and well known, Mirkos left leg is fucking posessed! Would be good to have Milos' input on here as he is fanatical about Mirko.

Earl we agree again. Chuck and Dana both would have to be out of there F*CKING gored to let this fight happen.. If he has nothing to prove from wandy, he would only prove how ignorant he would be to make this fight.. Chuck has heavy hands but so does Mirko. And sometimes i question chucks punching accuracy, he does at times look like a high schooler throwing heavy hands and they land... Mirko is pin point much of the time.. chuck has a chin to somepoint. But Mirko's leg would roll ol' chucks head right of his shoulders.. rampage beat chuck and mirko would murder him....

ill stand by this til im proved wrong, but i reckon Chuck would hammer Rampage in the Octagon. he has adapted his style to dominate it, and i think he would knock rampage out cold should they ever fight in UFC. I dont think itll ever happen as Rampage had the chance and decided to sign elsewhere.

However Cro cop is a different kettle of fish altogether. Both guys have incredible knockout power in both hands and feet, but both have proven they can be knocked out aswell regardless of how good they are. Chuck just swings nutil he connects, then he finds a target to focus on. Mirko almost has tunnel vision in that he only hits what he sees - and its where he is meaning to hit you. Whoever got the first big bomb in "should" win that fight, but i would be betting against Chuck for that one.

Chuck Liddell is 6'2 (maybe even 6'3), Mirko is 6'2. Chuck walks around at 225-230lbs, Mirko's weight has varied over the last year or two from 215-225. Chuck appears to have longer limbs, but Mirko has the faster strikes, and remember speed kills. Almost every opponent Mirko has fought say the same thing, that left kick is not only powerful, but extremely fast and hard to defend. Mirko and Chuck are about the same weight, it's just that Chuck cuts to make 205 and Mirko stays at HW and beats up the big dogs.

Bad matchup for Chack. We would have to see his wrestling skills. I don't think he can take down Mirko. Espcecially in the cage. Chack has KO power (plus the Kempo thumbs), but I don't think he'd catch Mirko.

yeah Chuck has about an extra 20lbs when hes not prepping for a fight, and he isnt exactly a cut 205. Mirko seems to hold his weight alot better as Chuck has a big stomach for his build. If they both fought i think it would have to be at LHW or in an open weight class, Mirko wouldnt lose too much power if he dropped 10lbs or so.

as much as I wanna see this fight, it'll never happen. But if it did and Mirko fought in the shape he was at the OWGP finals, then I feel really bad for chuck. But honestly I can't see chuck even wanting this fight.
