Chick is the IFBB athlete's rep, if he says there is a suspension, I'm sure thats the official word

If I were a competitive pro, I'd like the ability for more freedom with competing, guest appearances and other professional endeavors that would put $ in my pocket.  Seems to me a rule like this shouldn't exist (1.7)

...and that rule has been challenged in my 2006 proposals I've submitted. It will be voted on in the upcoming IFBB meeting on Olympia weekend.

Lee Priest and Valentin Jabes have both been suspended, effective immediately, for violation of rule 1.7 of the IFBB rules (competing in a non-sanctioned competition).

There is a hearing set for October 17, 2006 where they can appeal the suspention in person...

fucking gayer then your entire shirt collection. I hope the ifbb bigwiggs die in a corporate orgy fest

Why don`t they suspend YOU for violating the IFBB drug Policy? That is a rule too.

Because they would have to test first.

I will tell you this though.

Ben Weider has signed an agreement with WADA, it's all on the IFBB website.

From what I understand, this agreement will actually allow WADA to test any IFBB athlete in or out of competition, just as they would any athlete in a sports federation that is in an agreement with WADA.

If the athlete tests positive, or refuses to give a sample, there will be an automatic 24 month suspension.

Why WADA isn't testing, is probably due to limited funds.

But again, IFBB has a very tough policy on steroids. It's just that they don't test at all.

you know good and well what it is.  The IFBB could have just put it on thier site and that would be that but there are gonna be threads about this-started by you or someone else from the IFBB-all over the net now so everytime a pro goes on a BB board it'll be there right in front of thier faces, constant reminder.  Constantly in thier face.  If the PDI is such a shit org. why is the IFBB scared of it?  Why selectively follow the rules just to nail people for it?

Bro...everyone in the IFBB knows the rules all too well...this isn't something they've added recently. The pro's don't need a "reminder".

Lee himself would post it...he doesn't care. This isn't a secret, it's open to the public and updates people that frequent this site, as to what the current status is of the situation...plain and simple.

Bob you can be a real tool sometimes.

This shit needs to be kept behind office doors. Not exclaimed on a public website. What is the reason of this post? Is it to show your upper hand over all the other Pros? Is it to rub it in the face of said Pros?
What kiddy shit this is....

Very professionally done!!

Well said. It's sad, really. These competitors love bodybuilding. It's something they all share in their hearts. But the sad fact is this multi-million dollar industry pays them so that the lower placing bodybuilders are better off working at Burger King (it's not even funny because it's true).

No...it's presented to the Board of Governors (IFBB commision) and voted on. We can't make our own rules (unfortunately).lol..

Bob,

If the majority of IFBB Pros told you they would like the ability to compete in shows other than IFBB shows, would you petition the IFBB to change the rule?

I believe it's indefinate, until the hearing...then I believe it would get ruled on based on the outcome of the hearing....meaning, it could be 6 months, 1 year, lifetime, etc...

He can appeal his decision and if he begs like a dog, they may let him back in the house after a respectable fine.  Maybe they might hire Wayne back to do that NOC graveyard scene with the WBF lifters

In the meantime, that dog will stay outside in the backyard like the mangy mutt he is.

Lee Priest decided to take a show not for any IFBB pro or to change.  He did it to make fast buck knowing good and well that he could beat up on some amatuer bodybuilders.  That's inexcusable in my opinion and he should have enough professionalism for himself and the sport of bodybuilding and not degrade the intergrity.

Lee, have fun watching REAL PROFESSIONALS WITH REAL COMPETITION COMPETE AT THE OLYMPIA....if you're even allowed in there

After awhile the PDI is going to have contests all over the country.  All this does is gives the competitors more shows to enter so they can make more money.  The IFBB has a few contest going on in the US and maybe some of the competitors can't make it to the IFBB shows because of the cost.  Now if a PDI show comes to town and they can enter it and make money they should be able to do that.  I am sure the competitors would compete more often if their was more money available.

Oh, there's gonna be a hearing, I'm sure multiple hearings, only the Ifbb won't be overseeing it, they will be the defendant in it.

You guys have no idea the magnatude of what you are starting.  Mark my words, constitutionally, you have no right to stop a person from earining an income in their chosen profession. This is historical, and will mark the beginning of the end of they way things have been handled.

By the way Chick, I know you hate me and all, but I do understand that you are just the messenger in this. No hard feelings to you.

Lets face it, Lee could never have won the olympia, not with all the politics involved, especially since he's done such a good job of marginalizing himself.  Judges dont like him and wont allow him to win any IFBB sanctioned pro shows.  He probably got pissed off about this and realized he will never win first place again so he said fuck it, screw the chinks who are making this all happen, and go out in glory.
