2008 NPC USA Mens, Womens and Figure Contest Results

It was a great contest, with Brandon Curry winning the overall, while Curtis Bryant took the second pro card slot.  Edward Nunn, who won the Super Heavyweight class, looked like he would of had a great chance to get that second pro card, but didn’t, and he is now the favorite for the 2008 NPC Nationals in Atlanta. Grigori Atoyan, the Super Heavyweight favorite, come in 3rd.

But Brandon Curry didnt have it easy in winning his class. Michael Liberatore lost out in the Heavyweight battles by ONE point. Yes, one point, and is certainly a lock to win his class at the NPC Nationals now. Lee Banks also looked great too in this class.

Here are the complete results, along with competitor’s number, of the NPC USAs mens.

Roland Kickinger starring in Terminator 4: Salvation

Roland Kickinger is a little busy these days, down in New Mexico filming the 4th movie in the Terminator Series, titled Terminator 4: Salvation: The Future Begins.  Set for a release date of May 22nd, 2009, Roland is playing the character of the T-800, which was the original terminator.

This movie picks off where Terminator 3 ended, where the Skynet computer has destroyed most of humanity. John Conner, who will be played by Christian Bale, and his group start to lead the rebellion against the machines.  Roland Kickinger is set to go after John Conner, who will be protected by a good terminator, in this case, played by Josh Brolin.

Here is a synopsis released by Warner Bros. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a Terminator whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind.

IFBB Houston Pro 202lb and Under Contest is a go

Yes, there will be another IFBB Men’s Pro Contest along with the IFBB Houston Pro. For competitors 202lbs and under, this show will go on, despite not being on some of the contest schedules. The top three will be able to compete in the special Mr. Olympia 202 and Under contest. Total contest prize money is $3,000, but competitors can compete in both shows. As in the past 202lbs and under shows, these shows are designated to showcase the smaller bodybuilder, who often gets overlooked when the big guys are on stage.
