Good for under 100 yards and for reliability.... AR's better for 100-300 yards and for accuracy....over 300+ M1 Springfield is God.

Wow, you know your weapons. The reliability of an AK is amazing. Throw it in mud and it fires. 200 yards and the groups with the AK are crap. A good shot can get man size targets the majority of the time at 200 yards with the AR platform with standard sites. M1 is the best military rifle made. The reliability, accuracy and power makes the firearm of choice of a rifleman.

Depends on what you mean by accuracy , bench shooting for smallest MOA using match grade ammo or just being able to hit a man sized target

AR's are much more accurate than over 300 yards , you have to recall they make AR's in many different calibers

Travis Haley in Art of the Precision Rifle was hitting man sized targets at ONE-FUCKING-MILE with a .308 Larue OBR AR15

Battle conditions standard ammo

AK 762x39

AR 5.56 aka 223

M1 762x51 aka 308

And I agree there is a world of difference between bushmaster and Daniel defense....

AK 762x39

AR 5.56 aka 223

M1 762x51 aka 308

They make AR's in 9mm , 6.5 , 6.8 , 762 , 300 black out , 50 beowulf , etc ,and they also make AK's in 556

And what do you mean by accuracy? bench shooting with match ammo or just being able to shoot man sized targets? either way your estimates are low

The AK47 is best for the "spray and pray" method.  Haji shit.  It's fitting that a monkey is holding one in the video.

The M16 on the other had is better if you actually want to hit something.  I prefer the M16A2 myself on 3 round burst.

You're showing scoped weapons on a tripod. Great for long distance shooting but that is specialized. Specialized in application of use. The majority of the military infantry needs a weapon for fast acquisition from 10 yards to 300 yards and maybe a little more. That's where open sites or electric sites come in. Try quickly engaging multiple targets at close distance with a scope. A rifleman's rifle has to be able to do everything good without specialization. Yes, you can scope an ar and hit 500 yards decent groups off a tripod.

Electric sites? you mean holographic or red dot? and the military is using these types pf weapons in theaters of war as we speak

I am aware of the different AR ammo configuration I am strictly speaking mil spec and man size targets in prone position. What I listed is most effective, at 300 or more yards the AR does not provide best range as with AKs over 100 yards IMO

At over 500 I would use the M1 or the Remington 700 and have used both.

Trijicon ACOG is a nice do-it-all sight for M4 carbines and M16A3 and A4.

Agree like it on standard AR fast target acquisition, and holds up well....from what I hear on durability.

Yes electric sites as in Aimpoint or Eotech. The battery in the Aimpoint can last over a year and that's what I use on my carbine. The Eotech has a much shorter battery life.
