I forsee a dark future to the US. If "Barobama" wins it will be the start of the end os the USA as we know it. I think it is inevitable that America will break apart in several countries... a country for the blacks, another for the hispanic, another for the gay people, etc....

I don't see anything that dramatic happening, but it will be a disaster regardless.  Socialist policies that were discredited in the 60's and 70's will be dusted off and trotted out again.  This guy won't be Bill Clinton, he'll be LBJ or Carter.

Despite what your media tells you, only half of the Republican support base are religious nuts.  The other half are people with libertarian leanings who believe limited government is essential to individual freedom. Why should we give 3/4 of our money to the government so they can "wisely spend it on our behalf" as though we were children or something?  I prefer to keep taxes limited to only the necessary items, and decide for myself how my resources should be allocated.

Free Choice Act. McCain opposes. Barrack supports. Any union worker that opposes Barrack is basing it soley on race (or to a smaller extent issues such as abortion or gun rights) which in 2008 is very very sad.

Why should we give 3/4 of our money to the government so they can "wisely spend it on our behalf" as though we were children or something?  I prefer to keep taxes limited to only the necessary items, and decide for myself how my resources should be allocated.

What's so bad about big government?
The model you support has lead America into the instability it's now suffering.


Small government does indeed mean more personal liberty for middle class Americans, but it also means:
-poor public school systems
-poor social welfare
-a homelessness rate to rival any third world country
-rampant crime
-most working class people living one paycheque away from destitution
-most middle class people living one diagnosis away from destitution

...but more importantly, it means a small government which cannot curb the Machiavellian machinations of big-money vested interests. So small government effectively means a Corporo-cracy.

As George Bernard Shaw so wisely said: "I don't want the working classes to have baths only for their sake, but also for my sake"

Obama is a pretty adaptive person, so I think he'd be able to adjust his policies accordingly. His inexperience is not even relevant, because he's clearly an intelligent person who's been able to run a good campaign which in itself takes skill, and it's not like McCain is any better foreign policy wise, so..

And what do you think is going to happen with a war raging McCain in office?  Just more war.  What funds war?  Taxes play a big part and since we're running out of places to borrow money from a tax raise is inevitable.  Good strong logic there buddy.  McCain is an idiot and Obama is a newb.  I'll take a newb over an idiot any day of the week.

...my point was that America's Gordon Gekko culture has lead it to the brink of societal collapse, meanwhile the socialist countries have been overtaking America in every positive living index.

Elections are won and lost here in Ireland based on the performance of our free health service... we have the 9th best healthcare system in the world.

American politicians get voted out if they even mention "socialised" medicine... yet America has the 37th best healthcare system in the world... while simultaneously paying many times more for their medical insurance than socialised countries pay in taxes for their better systems.

A socialist revolution in the US might be the only thing that can save it... unfortunately, the people who have been indoctrinated into believing the American Dream dismiss proven socialist policy without even being able to articulate why they disagree.
