but you're white, bro

It depend on who is interpreting. On some classification I am Caucasian but I think of myself as a brown and not a white.

I honest not try to argue with you here but do you ever post about anything other than homosexuality?
I just notice that everything you ever post on here is either calling someone or something "gay". You seemed consumed by homosexuality.

Nah, it's just because it's in response to your threads....homo.  8)

Swimmers have higher bodyfat because it helps performance...not as a side effect of swimming...

You're guessing that this is the only reason, i don't believe that at all. As i mentioned there are several theories but the main thing is you'll lose extra fat and won't be big but also won't be lean from swimming.

running is a far superior in burning fat, but swimming is kind of subjective and depends on how HARD you swim.  People who can swim VERY WELL but take their own sweet time covering 20 laps in a relaxed pace is going to burn much less fats/calories than some beginner swimmer who struggles to make even a lap but goes for 20 .

Unless you go ALL OUT in your swims while covering the same distance in a run, running always wins in burning cal/fat

Even top shorter distance swimmers do not have much definition. You'll definitely get in shape swimming and lose alot of fat but won't get that last degree of leaness IMO.

It's not though. On every thread you post you make some reference to homosexuality. You clearly are thinking about the subject all day.

Really?  I'll have to look into that because when I look back on my posts, it doesn't seem that way.  But hey, you are the expert on faggyness. Now, don't you have some beheadings to attend?

Running is great if you can do it (a lot of people are too heavy for their joints to handle it) and it does help you melt a lot of fat. From the cardio / fat burning point of view though, swimming is better cause it takes you longer to cover a given distance by swimming than by running, not to mention you involve your whole body and it's a non-impact activity.

anything that raises your heart rate to 135bpm is an effective way to burn fat. Case Closed.

Pretty fair assessment there.  A main difference between elite runners and elite swimmers is that elite runners look sickly.

Depends on the distance. Elite sprinters and middle-distance runners look quite healthy & muscular, and are fairly cut.

True, long distance runners are sickly.  800m and under usually have plenty of muscle.  The female track sprinters I knew in college were more muscular and cut than their male counterparts.

I think you need to focus on time rather than distance. Pretty sure you burn more calories/minute while swimming than running.

you are probably right however why do almost all Olympic Female swimmers look like shit ("skinny Fat--odd looking") while Olympic runners just look skinny?...

Did anyone here see Eastbound and Down on HBO last week. It was hilarious. My favorite part was when the guy goes I've been training for a triathlon so i've been doing a lot of running, biking and swimming, but you know all about that. And the main character responds No i don't I play real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising. It is funny because it is true.

Yeah that was a fucking funny line

interval sprints(I mean "tabata" ::) )are great.

Long distance running breaks you down too much.

Amen.  I use a recumbent bike for intervals, but I've heard that sprinting is effective as well.

Pick a distance for running.  Sprint runners win, then come swimmers, then distance runners.

I'd bone Stephanie Rice, Aussie swimmer, any day of the week.

Do both and you can really benefit.

If you do Tabata you should be fine at your weight.  If you go fast enough you will be done quick and will be spent.  Another good one is 2:1 run to recovery.  Run 200m and rest 100m.  You can use this for any distance but on a treadmill I wouldn't go over 800m run.

I "do" interval sprints on occasion, it's not a regular thing. fucking cold outside

Not very scientific about it at all, i just run as fast as I can  until I'm burned, rest for a few and do it again.

If it's cold, do it on the treadmill.  Seriously, you'll have Alex23 and Quakeroats making fun of your abs in no time.   ;D

Seriously though, Tabata works out to be a 4 minute work out and it's hard.
