My opinion is to wait a day or so. Could be some mild cellulitis and not a full blown abcess yet. Could naturally heal within a day or so.

Monitor symptoms over the next 24 hours and go from there. This happens once in awhile to everyone I know.

If he did the shot himself and the needle moved around a lot while inside, he could have damaged a bit of tissue. As far as I know, deca is not known for causing much post injection pain.

I've had it twice in about 150 injections in my life.

First time I called up my buddy because there was a hit little red nickel sized lump on my delt and I was freakknf out "OMG OMG I got an abcess how did this happen?!?!!"

He just laughed at me and told me it wAs cellulitis and would disappear in 24 hours. Sure as shit it did. No lump or anything.

Moral of the story: Save the antibiotics for when you actually need them, keep your resistance to them as low as possible by using in extreme moderation.

I am now starting to think it's a combination of factors. Strting at a high dose, the dbol on top, this "infection", flu like symptoms, very very tired and sleepy, the pain from the shot and so forth ... he is not the type of dude to complain unless he really feels unwell.

tell him to prick it and if white puss comes out then its infected.  I used to just squeeze and push it all out back in the day and that's generally what the doctor is going to do anyway
