GGG is a good fighter. Its not just about his level of competition, he has beaten some solid fringe contenders, its about how he wins that is impressive. Still Froch and FMJ are in another league. Thats not to say GGG couldnt win though its just premature to start these comparisons.

The truth is though, if you are a champ, then you fight the best. You dont pick and choose your opponents. If FMJ or Sergio Martinez are worried about their health, then they should retire.

One other thing Hatton was a glorified clubfighter who was mostly all hype. His skills were very limited. I think Tszyu got old overnight. Hatton was managed beautifully to a glossy record. He had a ton of heart and determination but not much more.

No....Froch fights like a retard. No doubt. But over the past 3 or 4 Years nobody has had a tougher schedule Yet he keeps winning. Now granted, style wise, Froch is made for GGG.

..........Froch and FMJ are in another league..................

Froch isn't in Floyd's league.  Froch is good but he's not even close to the best in his division.  GGG is in Froch's league for sure-and definitely deserved to be in the conversation of Carl and his upcoming opponents.

"Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (Kazakh: Головкин Геннадий Геннадийұлы; Russian: Геннадий Геннадьевич Головкин; born April 8, 1982) is a Kazakh boxer of Russian-Korean descent[1] who competed in the Middleweight (75 kg) division at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the silver medal. He is the current WBA and IBO Middleweight Champion. With an 89% knockout percentage rate, Golovkin holds the greatest KO ratio in middleweight championship history and is 1st amongst all active current and former champions, and 3rd in overall championship history.[2] He has never been knocked down or knocked out in over 375 fights, both as a professional and amateur."

This is Wikipedia. Dude is a beast. Would love to see FMW fight this guy. That would be entertaining.

Martinez wants the fight

http://www.badlefthook.com/2013/7/1/4484014/sergio-martinez-says-he-wont-avoid-gennady-golovkin-in-2014

"He said that history will show that he has embraced every challenge available to him in his career. His legacy will be that he was always willing to fight the best. Right now, his concentration is on healing and rehabilitation and he will not fight until sometime in the first half of 2014. He wanted to make it clear that he is willing to fight Gennady Golovkin in the future ''

BTW  if Danny Garcia doesn't fight Matthysse next ,he will be remembered as the biggest pussy in the history of boxing .

if martinez fights like he always does he should win a decision

since he is coming of surgery he will most likely not be able to stick and move

dont be suprised if he KOs martinez

not by adriens choice. Al Hammond and michael stafford pick all adriens fights not adrien. I honestly think Adrien would fight anybody in his weight class because he is young and cocky.
No way paulie won that fight! look at paulies face after that fight it looked way worse then adriens face. adrien did not have a mark on him and paulie did not hit adrien with anything hard at all! Adrien did not do any serious damage but he did land way harder shots up-stairs to paulie. You also have to give the kid credit he stepped up 2 weight classes at 23 years old how many fighters have done that? Look at what broner did to demarco! Demarco will never look the same! that fight got ugly! They had to throw the towell in adrien would of done some permanent damage to demarco if that fight kept going. I am sure adrien did do permanent damage to demarco. But if that fight went a few more round demarco would of had brain damage. Adrien fucked him up bad! I don't think I have seen a fighter get so fucked up all last year. that demarco fight was ugly! who got beat up worse then demarco last year? and demarco is not a bum fighter! so that says something about adrien. are you saying demarco was just a bum of a fighter?

paulie is a 1 handed fighter who punches like a kitten he was never going to hurt broner

paulie did outwork broner and landed a lot of jabs (only punch he has)

paulie should of won but judges like harder punches from broner

Yeah, Sergio's prime has come and gone.

The Garcia comment though.  100% agree-He has to fight Matthysse.

Yeah, I saw that.  Zab Judah's been all over twitter saying that they're close to finalizing a rematch w/ Garcia.

I'll give Garcia the benefit of the doubt for now.  There's no way he can NOT take this fight.  Is there?

sergio is done with! I would not take that fight if I was sergio! Sergio is battling some serious injuries and honestly looked awful in his last fight. I personally think he lost his last fight!
Sergio would get knocked down maybe knocked out but for sure his ass would hit the canvas 2 or 3 times! Horrible fight choice for martinez if he he fought GGG.

Andre ward would be a better choice . I think andre is a better boxer but I still think he is way overrated and would get knocked out by GGG. Andre ward is coming off a injury as well and he would get knocked out and blame it on his hand. But I gaurantee injury or not GGG would beat ward. Ward is way overrated.

Who the fuck has GGG beat?  Ward won the super 6.  GGG is close to Abarham but LESS experienced, and Ward handled him.  On top of that GGG goes up like Edison Maranda so the power output goes down against 6 foot CWs like Ward.

Ward picks this GGG dude apart. Also, Ward isn't coming down to fight a no name.  Why would he?

he cant box for 12 rounds he doesnt have the stamina or the skill

he must use his size and fight on the "inside" if not he will get TKOd

who else would GGG fight? Martinez would not be a threat so it would come down to Ward or chavez jr. But first chavez jr and ward will fight soo as andre heals up and gets his management problems figured out. Andre is not that great and GGG -IMO could beat ward and chavez. I think chavez would give hima harder time then ward just due to chvez's size.
Either way GGG is good enough to fight martinez, ward or chavez jr. GGG will probably fight whoever wins the chavez ward fight that will hopefully happen in september. If GGG was smart he would drop to 147 and get some good fights that will pay 7 figures. I don't think GGG has had even close to a 7 figure fight. broner just got his 7 figure dollar fight from what I heard yet broner pisses money away like he is Jay-Z.

maybe he fights chavez at 160, because that will just be an exchange and see who hits the canvas first, but his power advantage will go down the drain against super middleweights like maranda's.  even martinez at his peak didn't want to go up against 168s, his trainers didn't want it, and he had the speed to run away from them for 10 rds.  this GGG dude is a sitting duck for 168 leather. he'd be a big 154 fighter at 5'10".  no way he'd get a catch weight fight with fmw because of the size issue.  i still need to see him fight SOMEBODY, ANYBODY.  i'd be interested in seeing maranda vs ggg at 160.  maranda is target practice against 168s but can bang at 160, but he's too fucking lazy to make weight.  dummy!
