Title: I am a professional bodybuilder, too.
Post by: Vince B on February 28, 2007, 04:49:07 PM
My mate Adonis, the true one, recently announced that he is using the rules of Duetto re his duel with some guy who poses for the gay scene. Those rules are quite ancient by today's standards.

Likewise, I am claiming professional status because I own a gym. In NABBA you were considered a professional bodybuilder if you owned a gym. I have owned a gym since August 1971 in Sydney, therefore I am a professional bodybuilder. The recent IFBB Pro status is a sham and many guys receive their cards for local, political reasons.

I don't need any blue stars. Matter of fact, if Goodrum is awarded those stars for competing in some less than novice category show that will diminish completely any respect those stars once stood for.

Can you make a fucking post without mentioning Goodrum in it? The guy runs your life from 15000 miles away.  ::)

Adonis, finish reading Karl Popper and you will be ready for DOMS persistency training. You will blow these guys away.

I had a mild workout last night to prepare myself to compete in the Masters track and field in 3 weeks. My body transformed over night. It is amazing what training can do for the body. Lots and lots of sets with a maximum resistance is the formula. Just make sure the exercises result in DOMS and you should grow rapidly. Retrain the muscle before the DOMS reduces too much. That means every 3rd or 4th day at the latest. Don't train more than a few muscles per week.

I wonder if a guy my age could get his pro card and do it completely naturally and without taking any supplements whatever? I think it is possible. What a pity I tore a biceps way back in 1977 doing a stupid deadlift with 509 pounds. Not enough warmup during a cold evening. If I had two good arms I would definitely have a go.

Karl Popper = almost a mentor to one of DEbusseys role models: George Soros. Brutally smart man.

Karl Popper was a genius. Many tried to show he was mistaken re his philosophy of science but neo-Popperians have resurrected his status and he still has a good standing in this discipline. Too bad more blokes here don't read Popper. They might stop making asses of themselves and be more tolerant of others.

The one thing Popper stressed is that almost all theories are false. That definitely applies to theories about muscles and other people. Plainly most people here don't know much about hypertrophy and the default is to be clueless about who other people are.

Hey, Basile, just a quick question, here: if you know all the true nuts & bolts re hypertrophy, how come haven't you become a multi-title holder in bb shows, or at least a decent build to go along your "know the holly grail of bodybuilding" persona?

Don't give me the crap about your torn biceps, that is not an excuse...lots of guys bounced back from horrendous injuries in our sport, you are just another guy who was stuid in the gym....

You used to make decent posts here 2 years ago.....now it seems you are just a poor senile guy who can't help but recollect about the past and the good ole days.....Vince, the senile......pitty.

Then why don't you 2 lunatics exchange the "pearls of knowledge in bodybuilding" through Private Messaging ?? That's why this resource was created for: to save our minds from insanity of twilight zone caliber.....

Just a friendly advice, why would you want to associate your name with someone like Adonis, a guy that proves time and time again how seriously mental sick he is, unfortunately.....

Please give reasons for your opinion. So far you have provided nothing but irrational hate.

Gary Busey would be ashamed of you >:(

Because Gary Busey named him Adonix. Gary told Debussey this. Debussey follows Garys advice.

Adonis has a good brain and he sure knows how to stir the crap out of most guys, even pros. I would make him a better person if we talked. There is no point upsetting guys like Milos, for example, who I have the upmost respect for.

I learned a while ago that it just is not beneficial to respond to all posts made to us. That is suicide on this board. Much better to ignor wannabe heroes and let them fade into oblivion. What amazes me is why so many anonymous nobodies post so much here. Whatever is the point if no one knows who you really are?

Take my advice and start dating gals and have some fun. Too many guys who lift weights do so to compensate for not having enough confidence to ask girls out. Getting bigger muscles may or may not help. Being on the internet too much definitely is going to interfere with social success.

By the way, J.F.Y.I. dipshit, THAT is how I looked in 2003, and I concur I was holding a greater amount of fat than now. It was before my first show, when I did my first and ONLY ONE AAS cycle, a very sad and weak one, by the way, and I NEVER let myself go on a indiscriminated diet since then. Since then, my diet is very regimented, and the result you see in that pic from one year ago.

Since then, my diet is very regimented, and the result you see in that pic is from one year ago.

So keep hating all you want, because at the end of the day you have to face the mirror knowing how Mr. M. Moore looks like !

Look at you now. Your ugly and retarded looking face = still there. No matter how much fake roid muscles you put on, you can never escape the fact that you are very ugly.

I agree with the sentiments of Gary Busey delivered through the alien hybrid debussey there is something not right about his head possibly some form of retardation. Source of this abnormality not known at this stage.

Moore looks good to me. Fair is fair. Now I know why he is so cocky. Mostly posturing and trying to score cheap points targetting others he considers easy prey. He underestimated his foe here.

If I was a professional according to NABBA rules then I am that. No amount of internet words will change that. I didn't consider that one should be a professional just because one owned a gym but that was what they did way back when. Just because you own a gym doesn't mean you even train. What happened was that guys who competed in those days who didn't hang around a gym all day thought it wasn't fair to compete against those guys so them made a special category for the owners and labelled them professionals.

Can you at least go one post without mentioning my name???/

Now as far as your status is concerned....I can't say but Ron is the one that decides who gets blue stars and who doesn't.  I've done 4 bodybuilding shows in my career with 2 of them being NPC sanctioned.  I'm also a world-renowned supplement dealer with a long list of customers and clients.  Now it may be hard for some folks to comprehend but that's the way it is

Hey, Vince, just a curiosity of mine, what makes you think that you look bigger or better than any member in these boards? You don't even look like you have ever lifted weights in your whole life. I put you in the same category as your best buddy, who shares the same name with you, the 'other' Vince......

The way your calves look alone means shit...everything belongs to a whole in bb, nothing is taken into consideration alone, by itself....a big calf means a rat's ass without a big and cut thigh to go along, and so on...... a big, but fat bodypart alone by itself won't take you very far as a bbdr, maybe that's why you retired after just a handful of shows under your belt, a handful that I could count in one hand, even if some fingers were missing...

According to the NABBA rules if I were to compete in the Mr Universe I would be considered a professional.

In 1970 there was only the IFBB in Canada so anyone who competed had to 'join' the IFBB. It was all just a formality. Promoters had to pay the IFBB to hold contests. It was the first time that title was held in Vancouver and we had only one guy from Quebec and no one from Ontario. Obviously it was a watered down field. We had another contest that day for the Pacific Northwest but again, few good bodybuilders came up from Washington State.

The ones in this thread. You claim that Adonix = insane. He is not. Debussey wrote: Adonix=smart. You claimed Debussey = in the twilight zone.
Point is. Adonix= very smart. You can not claim otherwise. Adonix = educated and well read. He is a student of rationality and logic. Thus, your thoughts about his lack of "grounding in reality" = irrational hate because you have nothing to substantiate your claims.

Are you saying that providing an alternative theory = lunatic? If his hypothesis proves effective-> Its an effective theory that can be applied to get results.

The Adonis principles are merely what sports science has established. It is amazing how silly so many bodybuilders are. Nothing has changed in that regard for the 48 years I have been bodybuilding. The vast majority of bodybuilders think they know it all but most know very little at all. Very few succeed in getting big. Doing it naturally, like Adonis and I prefer, is not at all easy. Most guys can't wait that long for results.

If some examine some of the research in exercise physiology then it should be clear that enough is known to duplicate some of those experiments and grow rapidly, indeed. So many default to what they read in the magazines. Can anyone mention one person who is writing for those magazines who is truly knowledgeable about hypertrophy? There are few true experts out there but many guys presenting articles. The editors of most magazines like to think they possess the epitome of bodybuilding knowledge but I doubt that is true.

So Adonis and I could collaborate and I could help him exceed his wildest dreams re muscle size.

Goodrum is a charlatan who shouldn't be giving anyone advice, let alone charge for it.

You, Michael, resort to insults thinking that is winning the debate. You reveal your lack of substance.

Adonis knows something about nutrition and that is why he can make what seems to be outlandish statements. His statements about others using drugs are probably true, too. I don't use that strategy but a young man might find that fun. I prefer to respect all those who have accomplished something in the iron game.

HAHHAH Why is he wearing a kids YMCA Basketball Jersey over a shirt?  LOLOLOL

I bet it has some kind of trophy value of some sort.  Perhaps he stole it out of the boys locker after "Mentoring" a particular 12 year old boy in the Big Brother/Big Sister YMCA program.

Ummm, yeah!!! I have to agree with you about the blue jersey.....too King Kamali for my taste, nowadays, I agree...

How about those legs of yours, are they coming up??? Or are you still squatting using your gravity suit? That explain the toothpicks you walk with everyday.....

Your knees resemble those of Ethiopians.........walki ng skeletons with big knees because of cadaveric features......skin and bones. Only problem is that you mistake your anorexic condition for a 'ripped and simmetric look'  ::)

I am the first to admit that I looked fat at those photos, shame of me.....but those that actually know a thing or two about bodybuilding are aware that you have to break the egg shells to cook the omelet  ;)......IF you know what I mean....

Adonis knows something about nutrition and that is why he can make what seems to be outlandish statements. His statements about others using drugs are probably true, too. I don't use that strategy but a young man might find that fun. I prefer to respect all those who have accomplished something in the iron game.

No wonder you think taht Adonis is a guru in nutrition....you are obviously following his dunkin donuts advices to a 'T', it's blatant apparent just looking at you....

Now in his case the donuts represents his only meal for that day, hence the ripped, cadaveric, dehidrated look he has, big kneed and Elf headed that he mistakes for a 'ripped' look.

He fooled you, Vince.......the donuts were meant as the only meal of the day, since protein is "overrated", by his philosophy.....the protein amount in that donut is sufficient to get you through the day AND enough to build muscle at the same time. ;)

You're fucking up on eating sausages as side dishes, that's what's making you 'hold all that weight'.........Mr. Canada!

Seriously.

It only LOOKS like a blue kids Jersey, but it isn't....beleive it or not, it is a normal jersey sleevless shirt meant to be used over a T-shirt when training. It actually keeps you warm and helps with perspiration, keeps you drier, as in not sweating excessively......trust me ;D  I threw it out for good, relax.....LOL

Did you compete in the NABBA Mr. Universe? If no, then you're not a professional, unless I'm missing something.

Did you compete as a pro or amateur in the IFBB?

Goodrum you are the guy who posted here that you took some animal products that some vet got you and then you concocted the chemicals and self-administered them. You then suffered some side effects and didn't get an anabolic effect according to what you posted. Is that what they taught you to do in that sports nutrition course?

A charlatan is someone who believes he knows a lot when in fact he is not an expert at all. You may well be qualified to practice in your state but you are hardly qualified to even make yourself grow nor appear on stage in what others call contest condition. The whole of Getbig knows the truth about you. Stop making threats that you have no substance about. I will put my BA, DipEd, and MEd up against your meagre certificates. Plus, I have owned a gym for 36 years and was a PE teacher for 10 years. Whatever have you done or achieved in education re physiology or anything else?

Years ago, 1985, in NSW a gym chain called John Valentine collapsed and the labour government set up a committee to try to regulate the industry. From those times a couple of groups have offered fitness leader courses. Later some Techs offered courses for instructors. Well, I have had several of those graduates at my gym. Most are not qualified to instruct advanced people and I would not hire them without first teaching them more about how to instruct. Just because someone gets a certificate or two doesn't make them qualified. The governments are simply people who appoint or employ someone to monitor those industries and set up standards. Can anyone who has reached a high standard in bodybuilding honestly accept that Techs and short courses are going to properly train instructors to be professionals? That isn't going to happen. In most professions one needs at least 4 years of specialized training and education to be qualified. Gym instructors and personal trainers think they are experts in a very short time. Some might be but the vast majority are not.

I have told Goodrum that I can teach the people who give these courses. He scoffed at me. What would he know, anyway? But that is the truth. I am a teacher and I know a bit about the profession of owning a gym and preparing instructors.

If me and you were personal trainers in a gym, I would get a lot more clients than you.  No-one would want some withered up old crow telling stories about bodybuilders long before they were even born regardless of your certifications.  I was a successful trainer because I'm a good salesman...period.

I come to Getbig to find out about contests and some gossip about bodybuilders. Other than that it is often amusing to read some of the threads.

I seldom attack anyone here. Sure I might target someone for a bit of fun. Believe me I am going easy on them. Who needs too much seriousness on a bodybuilding board. Some guys taunt me but I can selectively ignore people and then they will be seen as persistent jerks who are plain nasty.

Some guys haven't done much with their bodies. Well, we can all appreciate a great gal even if we could never get her. Same goes for bodies. Just because someone is a beginner or looks ordinary doesn't mean they can't be right about the physiques of others. In that regard we are all equal as far as opinions go. Some might consider that more experienced guys should count for more. Well, that might be true but not always.

When the fun stops then I don't find participating either amusing or beneficial.

I know most of you can't see my sense of humour but I like making fun of realities and foibles. Must be my upbringing in Canada and watching comics on the Ed Sullivan Show.

I can't recall knocking anyone's business in this thread. I do comment on personalities and qualifications. They are not a business but aspects of a person.

I smile when I see that Melvin boasts he could get more clients than me. Well, I doubt he can get many from Getbig whereas several people have asked me for information. I don't sell my professional advice so no one can hire me. I do give my advice to selected people who I choose might profit from what I know. In ancient Greece Socrates called those who could make themselves look qualified as Sophists. Looks like the art of sophistry is alive and well in the iron game.

Matter of fact, if Goodrum is awarded those stars for competing in some less than novice category show that will diminish completely any respect those stars once stood for.

look at the people who have stars... they dont mean anything as is

Not only you have to score a minimum, but you have to do your best to score the highest points you can to get the best carrers and because there are a million other people fighting for the same job as you.

Canada!

I'd like to paraphrase my good buddy Keith here and send it as a message to "THE HECKLER"...... ::)

The only problem is Heckler is APenis's guyfriend Jissumbelle.  She has showed her body and it is definitely nothing special.  Not even close to girls from Brazil.  ANd with that I met a girl yesterday from Brazil at the gym.  SHe was awesome.  Short about 5'5" and around 105 lbs with that Latin ass.  She was wearing white spandex with a black thong on.  She was so pretty to.  And I love that accent.  My friend almost bought a house out on Santa Catarina Island.  Is that what it is called.  Looked like a nice place.

Being a professional bodybuilder equates to being an IV Drug Using Dimwitted Poor Unhealthy Person who will die before their time..... :-\

You obviously have a good taste for women, Keith. ;)

Apenis could only wish to get his sausage touched by a true red hot brazilian pig. Now he has to content himself with that weirdo brunette he calls his girlfriend, who even Derek Anthony refused to stuff like a thanksgiving turkey!!

You spelled it right, Keith. Santa Catarina Island , right on. The pics I've posted with my girfriend at the pool and at the beach are from our last vacation, and we were at Santa Catarina. We stayed at a hotel in a private little island in SC called ILHA DO PAPAGAIO ( Parrot Island, in english), and I can tell you it was awesome, I can't wait to go there again. Champagne all day long, extremely hot and humid weather, lotsa sun, bikini girls walking around, the whole deal...and the food is delicious. First class treatment only a ' brazilian loser' like me could get.... ::) ;D

Commenting on the appearance of wives and girlfriends is about as low as it gets here on Getbig. Michael lost a lot of points for that. The guy has no trouble getting girls but I bet he has trouble finding a hat his size.

Not to mention a proper shirt.

I am still wondering how he arrived at the choice of wearing a Kids, YMCA jersey over a T-Shirt to the gym.

What prompted this fashion faux pas?

Note* The fat abdominal region bulging over the lifting belt on a brutal set of rows with under 200 lbs.

Not really. Vince Basile threatened a certain member of our site for calling him a pedophile. This is the same thing.

BF, there is no comparison. Danielson posted false information about me here. He stated that I had sent him private messages and so he called me a pedophile. He has since apologized twice for doing that since I never sent him any such messages. Goodrum read that lie and then attacked me as if it were true. I complained to the moderator because that was totally false. I never sent Danielson any such message. He was just making something up to bag me and I thought that sort of thing was quite despicable for a discussion board. I warned them that such posts were, indeed, libelous to me.

I might stir others a lot but I don't want to damage anyone or hurt them. If I do that then posting on this board is not at all ethical. I always post the truth or what I believe to be the truth. There is no need to fabricate reality. I detest that kind of behaviour.

Whats funny about that pic is that he had two guys pull the weight down for him.  They had to run out of camera view as fast as they can cause he couldn't hold it much longer.

And this is the same piece of shit - APENIS - that had the nerve to call me fat, make fun about my shirt (which I have already agreed it is indeed a bit strange and I threw it out, and explained as well its antiperspirant purpose) and mock the weight I was using, which by the way was 3 20 kg per side, which equates to almost 315 lbs, since I wasn't using an olympic bar......

Way to go , Adonis. You are only proving time and time again why you should keep your day job - provided you have one ;) - in case you are serious about "making a name for yourself" in the bb industry.

By the way, you have a face only a mother could love .

Look at the form of his pulldowns....trying to use the whole stack, crunching down the trunk in order to force the weight to keep coming his way no matter what......concave spine, not arched back to contract the lats  :-\......you should be ashamed of your self. Instead of bashing the pros, here, and trying to come up with some crazy diet shit nobody in his right mind would follow, you should pay attention to your workouts. And why do you feel the need to look like an autist while exerting yourself?! I doubt even your precious Jissubillie could get horny after looking at a face like that. By the way, brutal leprechaun pants......Did you went after the gold pot behind the rainbow after that set of look-alike pulldowns?
