hey coach, has your Oreilly girl Michelle Malkin accused the US Govt of covering up 9/11 lately?

ouch!

No offense, but malkin actually went further than Rosie in her accusations.  Rosie has talked about building integrity and the fact there is no official report on WTC7.  Malkin talked about murder and coverups and lies in official reports.

You've been sleeping with the enemy in a sense, Joe ;)

hey fool, we aren't killing Iraqis, we are killing insurgents...look that word up and then we will continue.

Clue- there are no insurgents because there is no legitimate government.  There's only the puppet government that the U.S. proped up after destroying their legitimate government.  Americans are killing Iraqis, and Iraqis are defending their country against the invaders (along with killing each other in the civil war the U.S. created).

Bwahhhaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhaaaaaaa

True to form Mr. Hate gets it wrong again. I click on his link expecting to read how O'Donnell got fired like Mr. Hate said she did in his post but that's not what happened, she asked to be let out of her contract. Here's a quote from Mr. Hate's link.

"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well," Brian Frons, the president of Disney-ABC's Daytime Television Group, said in a statement."

Nice job Mr. Hate.  ::)

Oh, and here's an interesting quote by Trump from the link.

“On this one I think Rosie should win, but Rosie is not much herself. I think anybody that’s against the war in Iraq is the winner of the fight, because to justify the war in Iraq — only an imbecile could do that," he told "Extra."

About Hasselbeck’s political views, especially on the war in Iraq, he added, “Elisabeth is not a very smart person, she’s one of the dumber people in television. To see that she supports the war, and she’s solidly behind the war, give me a break.”

According to Trump all you war mongering neotaints are imbeciles.

Did you hear that Mr. Hate, even Trump thinks you're an idiot and he's never even seen one of your moronic Limbaugh copy and paste jobs.

Bwaaahhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaa aaaaaaaa

You made a blanket statement about our service members:  "So yes, the top minds ARE NOT in the military.  This is a fact."

You don't know what the heck you're talking about.  I'm not about to bash our men and women in uniform.  There are enough people like you who do it darn near every day.

I know and have known plenty of very smart soldiers who were a private first class.  But I'll talk about my friend who is in Iraq right now.  He's a captain, college graduate, and thinking about medical school.  He's one of our "top minds."  I'll talk about my friend who is a retired sergeant major who is not a college graduate.  He is one of our "top minds" (and was when he was on active duty not to long ago).  I know a plethora of service members like them.

I haven't seen the rest of that particular post, but that quote seems reasonable.

Why?

Because the opportunities for a creative job and wealth (usually the two biggest motives when picking a career IMHO) are better in other areas.

That's not to say that a lot of the military tacticians aren't skilled, or even geniuses.

The PT and rehab side of the business is around $15K, fitness boot camps around $8-10K, strongman camps are about another $6k and growing, it slows in the summer months but I have combine training for my athletes during that time.

I have nothing against our military men and women - i sincerely appreciate the job they do and the risks they take for our American way of life - freedom, safety, and standard of living.  When I see one, I thank him/her for their service.  I would give one a deal on a website.  Etc etc.

however, stats are stats.  Military is public sector and more people of disadvantage join, then of advantage.  beach Bum, you can turn this into an emotional whinefest about "your cousin's friend's uncle is a brilliant man, and HE's in the military!", but the numbers won't change.

I'm not labeling anyone as anything.  I'm pointing at the total macro group as compared to medicine, law, CS, engineering, or the other top sectors requiring mental capacity.  The most brilliant people go into these fields.  period.  Like it, cry about it and turn it into a repub/dem issue if you want.  But it's the truth - more brilliant people go to high level private sector.

Are the brightest minds in our country, at a higher percentage:

1) In advanced fields like CS, medicine, law, engineering, etc, or
2) In the military?

If you pulled 100 random folks from the army, and 100 random folks from an engineering school, tell me, which group would have the highest average IQ?

We're talking about the intelligence level of Americans.

This *IS* apples with apples. I believe the brightest Americans go to medical or engineering school.  You believe the brightest Americans go into the military.  Statistically, one of these groups will have an average higher IQ.  You think it'll be the military, I think it will be one of the other groups.

You've backed yourself into a position here which is becoming (painfully obviously) transparently wrong.  You KNOW the average med school student will be smarter than the average military man, statistically.  Yet your emotion won't let you look at facts.

[sigh] Stop making stuff up.  Go back and read the thread son.  You made a comment about ALL members of our military.  "So yes, the top minds ARE NOT in the military.  This is a fact."  Stupid comment.  Factually inaccurate comment.

Our brightest minds go to the best schools in the country, which include the service academies.  Do some homework and you can determine how difficult the admissions standards are.  This alone disputes your comment.

Doctors, lawyers, nurses, pilots, astronauts, and engineers are all part of the military.  This alone makes your comment absurd.

Look, daughter,
Our top minds are distributed across many areas of study, in both private and public practice.

MORE - a higher % - of them find work in places other than military.  Sorry, it's just how it is.  Yes, the military has talented people.  but private sector has more of them on average.

I know it upsets you, and you probably have ten stories about smart guys you know, and that's super dooper.  But in the end, brilliant people usually get rich working in pvt sector.  not working for standard military pay.   But hey, you work for a university and you're a military man, you wouldn't know much about the pvt sector.

YAWN.  Listen, Mrs. Doubtfire, you made a ridiculous comment.  I corrected it.  You failed to acknowledge how stupid your comment was and instead tried to change the subject, use absurd hypotheticals, etc.

And you are the absolute worst ad hominem offender on this board.  I do it on occasion, almost exclusively with you, but talk about the pot . . . .

This isn't about winning or losing.  It's about an exchange of ideas.  There are some very smart liberals on this board who are quite capable of discussion, debate, etc. without insult (Decker, for example).  Then there are the liberals, like you, who are completely incapable of having a discussion without eventually resorting to ad hominem.

I did go to college, I came up short of a degree because I got married early, I had about 2 1/2 years of anatomy/phyisology and later biomechanics/exercise physiology. I make up for what I missed in school by attending seminars around the country that pertain to my field including phyiscal therapy siminars. For what I missed in school I more than made up on the outside having my own business.

you love to use that title to label anyone who disagrees with you.

The man believes that people in the military aren't that smart.  If you look at it from a socioeconomic standpoint of who enters - you're going to see a lot more poor, uneducated kids enter... than you are going to see ivy leage graduate rich kids.

So yes, the top minds ARE NOT in the military.  This is a fact.  If using facts makes you a liberal, well, okay.

So are you saying that there aren't people that could have gone to Ivy League schools in the military?

I never said that.  Of course there are.

I am speaking on a higher %.

If you evaluated the average IQ of all groups, and compared military to pvt sector, the pvt sector will be higher.  This isn't hatred or meanness or liberalism talking - it's simple facts.  Military takes many people whom high level pvt sector groups would not.

So settle down.  I appreciate the military's job as much as the next guy.  But it would be silly to say the average IQ of the military is higher than the average IQ of a medical school graduating class, wouldn't it?

I agree.  Kudos to you Coach.  If you're making $32K a month, or $384,000 year, you're earning more than 90 percent of most Americans (probably closer to 99 percent).  Awesome accomplishment, particularly without a college degree.

It's one of the hardest schools to get into in the country, along with the other service academies.  Most of those kids could go to any other school in the country.

Maybe, but when they needed some work done AT WEST POINT... They brought me in... They didn't do it there.

I flew up to NY, drove around the Hudson River Valley, crossed a bridge... drove up to the front gate, gave them my name, and drove on in and did work that THEY could not accomplish at the time.

Now... I'm not going to talk about officers or enlisted men... I'm going to talk about people.

There are many intelligent people in the Military, who join because of a sense of duty or devotion, there are also many people who join due to depravity and are simply trying to better themselves.

Just because they are "deprived" though, doesn't make them less intelligent than anyone else... perhaps they didn't get a foundation for advancement from their home life growing up, perhaps they truly were in an social environment that didn't reward success...

It doesn't make them less intelligent.

Do I believe that "military intelligence" is an oxymoron... sometimes... Sure. Look at the hell that is Iraq.

Do I think that there is ANY statistical information that says that people in the military are "less" intelligent than anywhere else. No.

Many people join the military to get a GI Bill, so they can get out and afford their education... That makes them smart enough to stay out of debt.

Are there idiots anywhere... of course. There are idiots in the Military (I think our wonderful Commander in Chief is a prime example of idiocy in the Military), HOWEVER, you can't say that there are more or less intelligent people in the real world.

I see idiots walking around every day... and there's more than one on these boards.

So, for anyone to make a blanket statement like that... FOR or AGAINST... is silly.

Well were I'm currently at..if u take a few more courses besides the military directed ones....u get an MA in military studies. U can also get a Masters from KSU if your enrolled in SAMS..these are the smart guys that plan military operations. They are taught how to think by a bunch of super smart folks. I think the degree is in Stategic Security studies. It will allow u to make a ton of cash for some Washington think tank i guess. We are recognized as the most advanced and best educated military in the world. 40% of our enlisted folks have some college. Our advanced schooling for officers is the best in the world. Foreign militaries send their best and brightest to these schools. Most if not all become General officers and some become heads of their militaries or even their countries as is the case for Jordan and Indonesia. The average grunt ends up buying into the GI bill and it benefits the country. We would not be as advanced a country without the GI Bill and all the guys from WW2-Vietnam buying into the program.....GE..Fed EX...Home Depot the list is endless. And after Iraq we will run this country as we have before.

Just what the world needs, more people to focus their attention on how to kill better.

P.S. I like how your master's degree helped you create the sentence, "They are taught how to think by a bunch of super smart folks."  Golly Jethro, them's some super smart folks!

In this post you'll notice Mr Hate blames his lack of a degree on his wife.

Mr Hate: "First I'll blame my parents for my LACK of a degree, if that doesn't "stick to the wall" I'll just blame my wife."

Beyond pathetic.

No I don't, I thank God for my parents teaching me to have the drive, as far as having a degree? Yeah, I wish I would have had it, but in retrospect most people who have their degrees get out of college making less than $35,000, I've done better than most without a degree that with one and from what I've experianced, the people that graduate with a degree in their major usually don't work in the field they majored in!

You're a good man.

But there's more to an education than a paycheck.  Is the most important thing about one's professional life aquisitive success or making as much money as possible?

There's more in heaven and earth than that.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with what you are saying, again I wish I would have finished and got my degree, when I said that we couldn't afford for my to go to college I meant they couldn't afford to send me to med school even if I wanted.

My business grew by me wanting to help people first and the rest just thankfully came with the territory, I learned thinks through business that I would have never learned in college and obviously vesa versa. I have learned more through seminars, lectures and just reading in my years in business than I would ever had in school.

Everybody has their own reasons.

I realized in my second year of law school that I hated it for the most part.

I stuck it out b/c there were a few areas of law not dull or despicable.

But medicine requires a dedication above any other field.

The PT and rehab side of the business is around $15K, fitness boot camps around $8-10K, strongman camps are about another $6k and growing, it slows in the summer months but I have combine training for my athletes during that time.

I assume it's the pitchers who gets the injury.

The thing to do is obviously to regulate how many innings the the kids are allowed to pitch at certain ages.

This would prevent injuries.

Also have rules allowing only a certain number of games pitched per month?

Something like that.

That's on the macro level.

As a team coach, it's rather simple. Just rotate more, less innings pitched. Let more try the pitching position, try out different positions throughout the season.

Remember that winning games isn't important at all.

It is to make the kids better players, learn them to play baseball thorougly.

So individual games means jack and shit.

As does seasons.

Whether you're successful or not, we will find out in 7-10 years.

Can you feel me on this?

2) it was bi partisan government that let it happen it any one did

Yes, I recommend you find a qualified physician (sports or ortho) to write you a letter that can be presented to the league describing the inherent dangers/contraindications of throwings "junk" on the soft tissue structures of growing adolecent boys.

I would ask the ortho to reference any previous studies completed (there are many) on this subject.

This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed by all Little Leagues.

Zack, It's not for my team, it's for the entire league throughout the entire Pony/USSSA system, my pitchers already know that if I see any of them throwing junk they automatically get taken out of the game, I'm trying to make it an even playing field for all the kids without sacrificing their arms when they get older, travelball is like big league baseball exept for kids, same rules apply, we even have scouts that go to other leagues and games for recruitment, all my kids are allowed to throw are just fast balls and change ups, nothing really with a rotation.

Question 1 - Yes, because I know it wasn't exclusivly for the oil, if we were allowed offshore drilling off of our shores and Anwar we wouldn't have to protect our intrests, but that's a question for the enviro's now isn't it?

Question 2 - It's a rediculous question and yes, I would!

If I came across as a know-it-all about how you were to coach, I apologize.

At least I think I did. ;D

Seems like a rough situation, and you're always going to have some parents wanting their kids to win in the Little League to make up for what they (the parents) never were able to do as players themselves.

Those parents are least suited to be team managers and such.

I'm sure you will have lots of great anecdotes when the season is over from meeting these pastime heroes. ;D

There is no way that a conspiracy of that magnitude could be kept under wraps.  Aside from the money needed to pay people off, there is no way that all those people could keep their mouths shut.  Add into the foray the allegations that there were missile blasts (of which there is no proof) and that flight 93 passengers are still alive (families must be good fakers in terms of sorrow).  Just consider the source EGJ.

Okay.  Can you grasp an act like that in OTHER nations?

Do you believe leaders of other nations would engage in a small self-attack if it meant access to trillions in oil and gret world position?

That is where you liberals lose middle americans. You compare our great nation to other nations and that just isn't right. I could see a hugo chavez/Iran/Russia do something like that but not an England/canada/italy/france/japan etc.

Switching parties-which can def be done in a lifetime for a number of reasons-compared to switching positions for votes is a big difference.  Kerry's reasons are obvious (for votes) but yet he still went on to say that bin Laden should die for what he did.

No, and I never said anything about Kerry, you did.  Don't put words in my mouth.  Kerry signed off on the war and then flip flopped to garner votes, which is not admirable IMO.  I know old timers who voted Dem for Kennedy and then voted Repub after him until the present.  How is that even comparable?  Many people in America start out as Dems (esp college kids) and end up becoming more conservative/Repub as they age, although there are plenty of Libs too.  The two are not even close.

What kind of flatfoot simp ass are you?  it's fucking easy.  If you wanted to do it, you would pull it off, then put everyone involved in a plane and drop it in the ocean.  how fucking hard is that?  Stop allowing small logistical hypothetical non-issues to distract you from the topic.  Why did WTC7 fall in under 7 seconds, cappy?

Just consider the source EGJ.

Rob, 1.) I never mentioned your name so you have gotten personal and I have not 2.) I am realistic in thinking that there are more than "small logistical issues" to carry out.  Massive payouts, gag orders to civilians, etc would not be possible.  No clear evidence of missiles anywhere.  Fuzzy images (much like the fake Bin Laden tape you referenced) from different 9/11 areas are not conclusive in the least.  I am not getting into a 9/11 discussion with you because of reasons we have already discussed.  Don't know about WTC 7.  How many seconds on WTC 1 and 2?

1 and 2 fell in under ten seconds.

And I don't care about proving anyone wrong, I'd just like to see a second investigation.  I know we're not going to convict anyone on internet videos (and prob not in court ever either).  but come on dude, why didn't they grill the FAA Supervisor who destroyed the recordings that morning?  Why didn't they grill the NORAD guy who got caught lying about when they found out?  WHy hide 85 videotapes of teh pentagon, when the physical evidence says missile (you saw the hole) and witnesses were all over the place on what they saw?  Planes can't turn on those dimes like flight 77... and to hit the very office where all the people behind the missing 2.3 trillion and everyone who planned that day's coincidental drills.... come on!  It reeks!

I know i can't effect 911 outcome, so I don't care about that.  And I know i'm not convicting anyone or proving anything - i never said i was.  I just show cause for need of a second investigation, here on getbig because I like to argue history.  When dickheads who haven't researched it tell me i'm stupid, it pisses me off.  It shouldn't.  I try to walk away, and did for several months if anyone had noticed.  Then I get a new round of folks calling it rediculous when honestly... 3 planes bringing 8 buildings that day... THAT is rediculous.  Not testing metals for explosives residue when WC7 LOOKS like explosives... THAT is redicuolus.

eh, screw it.  i said i was done arguing 911 and got sucked back into it.  i'm done now.

When asshats tell me i'm crazy, that pisses me off and i like to argue.

while i know 911 will never be solved officially, it sure is fun watching it come out in chunks tonight.  Al Gore caught his tongue tonight - ALMOST mentioned it as Bush's BIG mistake as 911....

remember that gore said in dec 06 to a washington mag (quarterly maybe?) that Bush knew and didn't act.

Joe, you endorse murder here.   By voting for those who you'd know did it, you are enabling it and are therefore morally culpable.   I find it shocking that you don't believe liberals can go to heaven, but you would proudly vote for people you know killed innocents here.   You endorse murder here.  I said I wouldn't rag on you anymore, so I'll let it go now.  Just thought you'd put what is right, and what God would want, over your hate for libs. I guess not.

I said *IF* nice and big.  We don't know *IF* it was an inside job.  We know there are major holes in the story a second investigation would clear up.  I presented you witha hypothetical and you answered.

I'm not making an accusation here.  So your rosie analogy was odd.  If you had WATCHED Rosie instead of just regurgitating what Fox tells you, you'd see she DOESN"T ACCUSE BUSH of 911... she only shows the evidence that bombs went off in the foot of towers 1/2 (seismic and eyewitness testimony), and asks how WTC7 fell.   Rosie isn't making 9/11 political - she is sticking with evidence (which I don't think you want to argue, as she would pwn you up and down).

You speak on 911 skepticism as crazy, but you don't understand their evidence.  You speak on Rosie as crazy, but you just misstated her position on 9/11.  You're telling me to "wake the hell up", but you have the facts wrong.

Joe, you just told us that IF repubs did 911, you would vote to keep them in power.

That is an endorsement of murder.

Where did I-One state that IF repubs did the 911, he would still vote for them?
Joe, two simple questions - and if you answer them, I will never rag on you again here:

1)
If you found out that the war in Iraq was started primarily for oil, would you still vote repub?

2)
If you found out that 911 was allowed to happen by our leaders, would you still vote repub?

Thanks.
I wasn't ignoring it, I was involved in another battle.

I said *IF* nice and big.  We don't know *IF* it was an inside job.  We know there are major holes in the story a second investigation would clear up.  I presented you witha hypothetical and you answered.

As a side note, I find it interesting that you hold I-One to moral standards, and are shocked by his actions, and at the same time, you have no problem with being a hypocrite:

i don't support it when i'm sitting online feeling ethical.  but if I had to push a button which would end all war, but send the US back to where it would be without those wars, i wouldn't do it.  I'm a hypocrite, i'll admit it. I don't like the war, and i hate fvckers who argue it's about rainbows and cotton candy when it's really about bases and oil... but i wouldn't stop it if if meant losing my standard of life.  I admit it's a poor moral position to have.

I find it interesting, that's all.
