3 days before i did with a strange machine.And It hurts a lot yesterday and today.
And I had to skip my back workout. >:( >:(
It has occured with the pull over with very lightweight before also.
If you guys share your information about the experience of injury of your serratus,i am appriciated.

Yea pulled it on the left side once, was a nagging pain for about two to three weeks, just work around it.

Yes but lighter then normal and with more machines that created stability.

Yeah. I think try to do some excercize which dont need to stabilize upper body balance that much.

I've screwed up several minor muscles in my upper back, traps before, including serratus. The biggest thing thats helped overall is training those minor muscle with some rehab exercises and doing rotator cuff work along with shoulder days - I regularly do things like shoulder dislocates, cuban presses, external rotations, sub scap pulldowns, etc. As a side effect too, lifts like incline press and military have increased increased like crazy.
I can't re-explain all the neuro/phys ends and outs as it was explained to me, but bottom line is you more than likely have another weakness/imbalance in a muscle other than the serratus. You're only as strong as your weakest link and all that...
...on the other hand, you may have just pulled your serratus so what the hell do I know? :D

By the way, if it is muscle tears,is it visible?(Turn its color into purple...etc.)
It hurts depend on the posture.Standing or sitting alone,it doesnt hurt.
I hope its not muscle tears.

Damn,Many of them are vacation here.
In Spain,the things get even worse in august.
Last week,i and my friends tryed to save one guy in our gym. And Ambulance came 25 minutes later!
What a joke..

Don't let it drag on, I did that with the advice of a doctor, he said to rest. I shouldn't have left my injury so long. now i'm in physiotherapy.

What did you do for that minor tear? Bench Press? Did it hurt when you did it?
Because it didnt hurt(But I felt strange) when i did that.

Couldnt even lift my gym bag afterwards.
1 freaking guy came running asking me if I needed help with the soap
in the shower since I was injured :-\
It took 2weeks and then I was back in training fully recovered.
Kyomu, unless it is a real tear that requires surgery there is not much you can do.
Just go easy with the training until the pain is gone.

I was doing chest, but the exercise that did it for me was dips. Haven't been the same ever since.
