Anyone hear anything about Temple Gym. I know he was trying to get franchising going but I think it didn't happen. His first franchise was going to be here in Vegas but the kid who was doing just called me last week and said he is giving up and he told me that the guy who was running it (Temple Gym) was selling his gym too in Riverside. Anybody know anything.

I train at Temple Gym - Dorian tried to get a franchise going a few years ago and has a gym out in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and there's also one in India I believe. Other than that I don't know of anymore and I don't know if their still going ahead.

As I said in another thread this morning I know Dorian pretty well now but when we first met 20+ years ago it was a different matter. I was already of course an established bodybuilder and was in town to compete in my first EFBB masters show. Dorian was competing in the heavyweight class of the seniors. We were both training at the same time in a gym and believe it or not Dorian was dressed in dungarees with no shirt under it and was wearing Doc Martin boots. He really did look like a complete scumbag with his tattood fingers and arms covered in tatoos of the Union Jack, bulldog, picture of Doc Martin boot (seriously !!) etc. He made the mistake of calling me "Jock". As many of you know I am ex Black Watch so even though I was 50 years old at the time I sorted his attitude in double quick time. I went out to my car and got my pair of pliers and then walked up to Dorian as he was lying on the bench doing presses. I placed my thumb and index fingers on his eyes which clamping his testicles with my pliers. I told him if he spoke to me with disrespect again I would crush his genetalia and the last thing he would see would be my face before he lost his eyes. I kid you not, he actually pissed himself (which resulted in me removing my pliers).
The guy is a big Fairy.

I have talked to Dorian several times on the phone. He is a very nice guy from what i can see. And didn't he buy a supplement company last year. I knew he had DYA but I don't think he owned that one just was the name on it. I didn't pay attention to much to that stuff

He's now got his own supplement company. He no longer has anything to do with Chemical Nutrition as he and Kerry Keyes fell out from what I've heard. You might know Kerry Keyes as he is also Ricky Hatton's strength coach and travels with him to all his fights. Kerry himself is looking to sell Chemical Nutrition and move on - I heard Dorian talking about it in the gym the other week. Obviously Dorian can't buy it becuase Kerry will inflate the price because it's him. So look for Chemical Nurtition to be under new ownership quite soon.

Plain simple. People who try to fight is plain stupid. I run away no matter how weak that person is. I saw many disco doormans got into trouble even if they WON their fight. They ended up in court.

Thanks for the support fatpanda, I used to live in Bridgeton but live in East Kilbride now. Lenny was a fairly good fighter he used to come up to Glasgow in the early 80's for fights my cousin Arthur used to arrange. Lenny got a few beatings from the local lads but they are not mentioned in his book although Arthur gets plenty of mention.
My cousin Arthur's main claim to fame was that he sorted out those poofy Kray twins back in the 1960's. He forced Ronnie to kiss his arse in front of Reggie in one of their own london pubs. They don't make them like Arthur Thomson any more.

Two Packi terrorists drove a burning vehicle loaded with explosive material into the airport and did everyone run away screaming like they would have done in any other country? In real life, when untrained people brawl it's totally different - just chaos theory rules/lucky shots.

Thanks for the support fatpanda, I used to live in Bridgeton but live in East Kilbride now. Lenny was a fairly good fighter he used to come up to Glasgow in the early 80's for fights my cousin Arthur used to arrange. Lenny got a few beatings from the local lads but they are not mentioned in his book although Arthur gets plenty of mention.
My cousin Arthur's main claim to fame was that he sorted out those poofy Kray twins back in the 1960's. He forced Ronnie to kiss his arse in front of Reggie in one of their own london pubs. They don't make them like Arthur Thomson any more.
interesting jimmy, i live in the south side, but have some friends from balliston/east end. have you heard of danny houston? arthur is certainly respected, everyone in scotland knows who he is, i'm sure i've heard danny mention him before.
as for the krays, yes i have heard a few things about them myself about when they visited govan. My grandfather told me he was playing snooker one day and they walked into the club. He said he was quite scared as there was quite a bit of tention in the air, and they were quite cocky. Anyway my great uncle who at that time was the leader of the gang the govan team 'wee rebel' walked in and introduced himself, they had words and i dont know what was said but they certainly stopped acting all tough afterwards. i've no doubt the were hard, and from what i've heard sadistic men, but when these people meet real men, they tend to go quiet real quick. - a bit like squadfather would do if he met you or your cousin i'm sure ;D

That was like 17yrs old kids to 22yrs old in the night.
When fighting occured,i was escaping normaly. So my style is escaping. Because you receive punishment even if you win. So,escaping is the best tactics.
If I cant escape,i tryed to beat the biggest one for psycological damege of other fellow enemies.
On the street, you have to move fast. No time to yelling or take fighting pose or these kind of fancie staffs. You have to throw something to his face and keep on beating whatever and NONSTOP. This is very very important.
Recommend you to use things and avoid using nackle. Cus you will break it. I broke my nuckle when i punched one guy and had to go to hospital.

As I said in another thread this morning I know Dorian pretty well now but when we first met 20+ years ago it was a different matter. I was already of course an established bodybuilder and was in town to compete in my first EFBB masters show. Dorian was competing in the heavyweight class of the seniors. We were both training at the same time in a gym and believe it or not Dorian was dressed in dungarees with no shirt under it and was wearing Doc Martin boots. He really did look like a complete scumbag with his tattood fingers and arms covered in tatoos of the Union Jack, bulldog, picture of Doc Martin boot (seriously !!) etc. He made the mistake of calling me "Jock". As many of you know I am ex Black Watch so even though I was 50 years old at the time I sorted his attitude in double quick time. I went out to my car and got my pair of pliers and then walked up to Dorian as he was lying on the bench doing presses. I placed my thumb and index fingers on his eyes which clamping his testicles with my pliers. I told him if he spoke to me with disrespect again I would crush his genetalia and the last thing he would see would be my face before he lost his eyes. I kid you not, he actually pissed himself (which resulted in me removing my pliers).
The guy is a big Fairy.

Strength is deffinatley a factor in any type of fight, aswell as techique, endurance, dexterity ect.
All else being equal the stronger guy willl usually win.

I agree with a statement earlier. If everything else is equal the stronger "more in shape" guy will probably win. I have seen some huge guys that have absolutely no skill at all with their hands and are just slow and sloppy. Then also seen some big dudes that have lightning hands. Just cuz you are big does not mean you can fight but if you can fight and you are big THEN my friends, then its helpful.
And by the way sushi boy, who said anything about guns, knives, etc?? The question was would you fight Dorian? We can all see you resort to that kind of a defense for your gay analogies...
