Title: Never buy clothes on a no carb day!
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on May 21, 2008, 08:30:20 AM
Yesterday I was on my second no carb day of the week and I went shopping and bought some button down shirts.  The shirts fit perfectly in the store.  I wore one to work this morning and it fit great.  For breakfast I had a hefty carb meal of a couple fat free waffles and syrup and a bowl of oatmeal.  I noticed while driving that the sleeves started to get tight and had to keep on adjust them, then just a couple hourse ago I had a large bowl or rice and chicken and I swear the shirt now fits like an under armour shirt.  I'm thinking of going home and changing because now I look like some guido wearing a shirt size too small so I can look large.

You missed the point fucktard.  I wasn't boasting how large I was, I was talking about how quickly you fill in when bouncing between low and high carbs.  Nice trying to revive the squadfather but you fail fucktard.

Pffft! By theory only. You make it sound like if you avoid carbs a little bit then have some you suddenly have a strange gamma ray exposure experience where you all a sudden grow into a giant mutant muscle monster. I think you exaggerated ALOTabit.

some of you are truly pathetic. the way you idolize this squadfather character is embarrassing. it's as if you're all so weak as people you have to lament the passing of a trailer park dwelling bully who ran like the typical coward the moment it got tricky.

he was unemployed garbage that spent all day on this website as he had no life whatsoever. you must be bigger losers to put some fat, trailer trash loser who was nearly 40 on some kind of pedestal.

LLF

You disillusioned fool!

You think that the carb will have been assimilated that fast, converted to muscle glycogen and stored in the muscle, thusly giving you a fuller enough appearance to make a suitably fitting shit become tight?

Your metabolism is faster than that darkie scum Usain Bolt on fast forward if that is the case - I think not!

Tell the truth you bought the tightest, spray on shirt you could on a low carb day.

I wear the same size jacket.  I wear a suit to work every day.  If you cant spare the cash to get it tailored properly....don't buy it.  Wait until you can afford to get it tailored.

My best friend is 6'4 245ish in good condition.  The guy has no issue buying clothes, but all the behemoths on getbig are so huge they have to wear 5x shirts and specially cut pants for their massive quads ::)

 Int J Sport Nutr. 1992 Dec;2(4):328-34
Effects of carbohydrate loading and weight-lifting on muscle girth.
Balon TW, Horowitz JF, Fitzsimmons KM.

Dept. of Diabetes, City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte, CA 91010.

Bodybuilders have used different carbohydrate loading regimens in conjunction with resistance exercise prior to competition in the belief that this would result in increased muscle size. To investigate this possibility, muscle girth measurements were obtained from nine weight-trained males before and after a control (standard isocaloric diet) and an experimental trial (carbohydrate loading). The latter regimen consisted of 3 days of intense weight-lifting while the subjects ingested a diet of 10% carbohydrate (CHO), 57% fat (F), and 33% protein (P), followed by 3 days of light weight-lifting and a day of rest while ingesting a diet of 80% CHO, 5% F, and 15% P. The control trial consisted of an identical weight-lifting regimen while subjects ingested an isocaloric (45 kcal/kg BW/day) diet. Body weight and girths (forearm, upper arm, chest, thigh, waist, and calf) were obtained before and after each trial in a relaxed and flexed state. The results indicate that an exercise/carbohydrate loading regimen had no significant effect on muscle girth as compared to the control trial. It is concluded that CHO loading has no additional advantage to enhancing muscle girth in bodybuilders over weight-lifting alone.

i dont know anywhere over here that does that. I would easily pay a few quid to get my clothes in at waist. just my work shirts mainly

+1, the "Athletic cut" shirts never seem to cut it.  Who the fcuk were those things cut for?  Tucked in for a 32 waist the look like garbage.
