Title: an ultimatum: magoo challenges SF/sarcasm/quakeroats
Post by: MisterMagoo on August 13, 2008, 04:46:57 PM
all right my man. let's have a little fun, all righty?

you've been around since 2005, and made a lot of claims. squatting 545 for six reps, a 385 bench press, deadlifting 545, being 230 at six feet tall, etc. but you've never actually proven a single thing. for all of your calling people out over their claims, you've made tons but never backed it up.

for a while now you've been kinda weirding me out by stalking me. started threads, trolled my youtube account (no joke, guys), dozens of PMs complaining about this or that. now you're in my training log doing the same.

here's the challenge: prove you work out. put up a video of you proving a single one of your lifting claims. i don't care which one and i'll even give you some leeway since anyone can have a bad day.

if you do that much, i'll delete my account. or hell, let's give you a choice. alternately i'll change my name to your choice and not get a new account, so i have to post as "GayFagoo" or whatever, if you can show you hitting just one of those lifts you've claimed. if you don't, you're the bitch. don't even have to admit it, we'll all know.

I know you didn't challenge me, but when I call on the dark force I can bench 800 for reps and squat half the gym building.

hahahahaa, i'm really deep in MM's head, he even used my full name in a post on the training journals board, this all started when him and WickedTruth claimed that 225 and 315 feel exactly the same on the bench press, i called him on it and he went nuts, i've NEVER claimed i could squat 545 for 6 below parallel, in all honesty i am 235 at 5'11" in this picture.

just show any one of the claims you've made. 385 bench, 545 squat, 545 deadlift, whatever.  :)

what are you capable of? tell us, then prove it.  8)

by the way, here it is:

come on man 225? Mike is a big dude, i'll gaurantee when he was at his biggest at 300 he could do 600 for a singe a couple of inches high, shit my frame isn't as big as Mike's, i'm 5'11" 234 and i can do 545 for 5 right to parallel, it's the small muscle movements that i don't believe like the 315 extensions and presses behind neck.

there dude. you claimed 545x5 squatting to parallel. if you can hit it for a SINGLE i'll be amazed.

College is 10x better than the NFL. The atmosphere, the intensity, everything is better.

Mangoo seems pretty confident. Would be quite the owning if SF were to send him packing.

If you're just an average sports fan then of course the NFL would be your thing.

You've really gotta be more into it to be a college football fan. Different programs, prospects, or because its your alma mater

Whatabout the next best thing? You can have a friend drawing you when lifting... put those drawings together and flip through them fast and it will look like a film.

If you train 4,5, 6 days a week, you will speak to everyone who is in there on a regular basis-even if just to say "hey, how's it going".

If you have been going to the gym for a year and don't know anyone, not even to say hello, then you must only go once a month.

I smile at a chick if she is good looking, sometimes broads come up and introduce themselves or say something like "didn't I meet you at so and so" etc. But no fkn way am I there to talk to dudes. Polite and cordial? Yes. Make it a point to befriend other guys at the gym? Hell no.

The gym is the one place I don't mind being labeled a "prick".  I'm not friendly, I mean, I 'm not rude or mean or anything...but I keep my head down and I avoid conversations or getting to know anyone.  My old gym I trained at for almost 5 years and I just recently learned the names of a few guys...but that's the way I like it!  I don't go to the gym to "be happy", I've got a starbucks down the street for that.  8)

i have no doubt in my mind with these lift claims, a guy or chick would run up to him and videotape it / snap a picture for him without him even asking.

then again, he might not have the people skills necessary to talk to another human being in real life for 8 seconds.   :-\

In the gym?  Okay yeah...but that was it.  Again, not trying to be rude, but I'm on a schedule and I'm not there for a good time.

Let me point out the obvious Magoo. You see them as potential sex partners. The rest of us see them as dudes who get in the way, use equipment we want etc.

you obviously see everyone you look at in terms of "would have sex with? y[] n[]" but i don't. if i want to pick someone up i'll go to the bar.

i have no doubt in my mind with these lift claims, a guy or chick would run up to him and videotape it / snap a picture for him without him even asking.

then again, he might not have the people skills necessary to talk to another human being in real life for 8 seconds.   :-\

yeah man. if you're squatting 5 plates and a quarter for reps, guarandamnteed you could get a random kid to hold the camera for 30 seconds. look at http://www.ironscene.com , it's absolutely full of people that found a way, and they aren't all world-class behemoths. there's no real excuse these days.

he's more than welcome to prove that he can. :)

He wont do shit , he said I was 150 pounds I said I'll prove I'm not and then you have to prove one of your claims , I posted a pic of me on the scale at 210 pounds with a post-it that said the date , time , GetBig and his screenname needless to say after I owned him he backed out as usual , the irony of him calling BS on everyone's claims and he can't back up one single one of his

I'm still laughing at 545 for 5 parallel  :D

sheooo. page 4 after about an hour. off to a good start. will we get any shred of evidence that the mighty squadfather/quaker/whoever works out.

for the record, he also claims to have done strongman competitions.

hit some Zercher squats, those really helped me for the couple of strongman meets i did, they will also help your deadlift, put the bar at about waist level in the power rack.

you did lose the "sarcasm" handle because you kept calling out mindspin over what were lofty, but certainly not ridiculous, claims. you also wouldn't lay off wickedtruth until he posted video.

don't forget also that you're also tearing into people just for being honest about themselves. remember, too, that when you got the chance to prove you're in a position to make fun of someone for deadlifting 405 or benching 315... ya didn't. :)

same as when a dude claims to be squatting 545 for a set of five to parallel weighing 230 pounds. i'd be heavily skeptical until he proves it.  ;)

and that's the point. he made claims, proved it (despite dodgy form on some of it). you made claims, backed out like a puppy with your tail between your legs. and then you have the balls to rip into people who HAVE backed their shit up. it's just sad dude. really, really sad.

Chaos, you've invited at least four guys down to your gym when arguing with them. You did back down when seriously challenged by mindspin though.
I'm not criticising; I think challenging people to come meet you because of words they type on a web  forum is truly pathetic. Backing out of Mindspin's challenge was the wisest thing you could have done  :)

What joy to see the great man back in his rightful place occupying the minds of the weak and needy fools who lurk in the shadows, hiding like roaches.
Bigbobs is right - as ever , such a bright boy - that the great squadfather has never made outlandish claims. When you see his physique it is clear he is a man of great strength and power. His lifts are totally to be believed.
As for Chaos, I am informed by my sources that he is much cleaner these days and is now making more effort to change clothes and wash himself. I do understand he can still smell a little ripe on a hot day but maybe some of this is simply a hormonal problem as much as a dislike of soap?

You're mistaken quite badly, when someone has told me they were going to beat my ass, I've simple told them where to find me if they have issues they would like to discuss.

No one has shown up, including your hero Mindspin. ;)

Maybe you should go back and read the threads instead of reading what some other people are saying, "TinyTit" :-*

That's true of a lot of gyms. Many of them will not tolerate any picture taking at all. Which is a shame as you see the girls do some great gooch-shot-opportunity aerobics in the studio.
Regarding Dave, you cannot help but marvel at the way the guy has managed to make a bodybuilding messageboard about him. I find him sometimes repetitive but frequently entertaining and he does have a cutting and original wit at times. This is in stark contrast to some of the guys who make their home in his ballbag.

what do you mean? i posted literally a minute after the thread was put up, i told everyone the reason why magoo melted and started a "challenge" thread, it's because he said that 225 and 315 feel exactly the same on the bench press and i called him on it and he went apeshit, where's the confusion?

all that was about was saying that as the weight gets heavier, sometimes your concentration increases and a heavier weight feels "easier" at low reps, i.e. a single at 275 feels heavy but then 315 feels easy. that was it. SF went on another "hhahaah bullshit" rampage.

and yes, i "melted" over something that stupid. ::) or, alternately, i just wanted to see what would happen when SF got the heat turned on toward him. so he had the chance to prove he's not a liar. prove his 545x5 squat wasn't a total lie, anything. result: failure. the 545x5 squat and SF's mystical "few strongman meets" will go down like duvall's 600x2 behind the neck press or intenseone's 585x181 bench press.

That's often true. I sometimes will think I won't be able to handle the heavier weight if I struggled a bit with the lighter, but amazingly will find the heavier weight feels more stable and elicits more focus and determination from me.

I love how Dave says "I'm not going to be some dork who asks some guy to record me benching in the gym for some internet challenge".

How about telling somebody - "Hey, I'm trying to work on my bench press form to make sure it's legal, would you mind taking a quick video of me benching so I can analyze it?"

Nothing but excuses.  If you really did the shit, you could prove it in no time.  Especially now that you've admitted you have both a cameraphone and a digital camera.

I too have known both Zach and Dave for years now, neither of them are insubstantial piss takers, they can both take it a bit of shit (balls deep in Zachs case) and are also capable of throwing it back, no problem.

However, Dave - and you know I love ya man - Zach's challenge is a valid one, and it is fucking pitiful to see you bitching out like this.

Christ, I would've been far more impressed if you had conceded you could "no longer" get near the poundages Zach has listed.  That way, you wouldn't have had to lose face, you could have simply said that you are no longer capable of lifting such figures; yeah that would have been crap, but it would have been far less embarrassing than the car wreck this thread will become vis a vis your crap about not wanting to ask a third party to hold the camera whilst you lift.

I mean really, is placing the camera in a static position on a bench/rack/fat girls tits beyond your gift?  Even that old fuck Geo can manage such a task for Christ's sake!!!

No, as far as filming your lifts go, the only logistical nightmare we need concern ourselves with centers around the sad reality that said lifts might not exist, eh Dave?

I'm sorry to say it Dave, but Zach has your balls in a sling on this one.

Man up, you girl.

Quaker you have really been SHAMED and HUMBLED!

Everyone else who makes claims HAS to put up vids but your excempt!  ::)

he's not exempt he just told magoo that he won't prove the claim so Magoo should assume that he is incapable of the lifts.  He is adhering to his own standard now

C'mon, anyone with any brains in their head knows that Squad's lift poundages are fantasy. 'They' are more than respectable but not inflated enough to incur any real shitstorm of 'bullshit' shouts. The numbers are actually quite well calculated.

Man up, you ####.

yeah and squad he just told all of us to assume that he was bullshitting.  So if he ever makes claims again you can post that quote.

so now you know he lives in a trailer, and can't lift for shit.  What more do you want?  Just because he has been an asshole doesn't mean we need to sink to his level.  He has been humbled, just let him PIP, it's the only thing he has going.

Greetings, Mr Hawking.

I have been on the boards for three and a half years now (yeah, honest)

It has nothing to do with being "afraid" or a desire to remain anonymous, indeed I draw your attention to the named signee of the above post.

But I digress, sir; The fact you have nigh on 4000 posts yet observably struggle to fathom the answer to your above question speaks volumes of your particular brand of spasticity.

Good day.

You know what I love about Sarcasm, is that 9 times outta 10 his instant assessments of people's claims are typically dead-on.  Those few times when someone says, "Ya want proof?!!" and then delivers on that proof Dave steps back and gives em total credit for it.   Regardless, Dave is a master of pushing people's buttons.  Personally, I don't care if Dave can't curl a gallon of milk yet continues to call people out.....he's still usually exactly right LOL!!!   His claims aren't unbelievable.  Dave's a big dude.  I can't blast the top poundages I could ten years ago, but I can still come pretty damn close on some occassions.   Whether I can or can't lift something today I couldn't a few years ago doesn't change the fact that I did at one point......I don't give a shit who believes me or not.   Point is, if Dave wants to make good on his claims by all means go for it, but if he doesn't and still calls others out on their crap he still ain't wrong whether he's validated himself or not.

I agree with MOS. I don't give a shit if Squad/Dave is as weak as an AIDS patient with a heavy cold..or as strong as an obese powerlifter in one of those mental patient shirts. I don't care if he lives in a trailer or a mansion. This is the internet and people should only be judged by their contribution to an interactive, anonymous forum. This isn't ratemybody or Cribs. This is Getbig. You can lie, you can call people liars..it's all allowed.

I don't care. I think it's fine. I guess the point - to the extent that there is one - is that it's wise not to get too invested in the goings on of anonymous chat forums. As I said..people are allowed to lie and call others liars. You have every right to call him a liar, just don't be disappointed if you don't get satisfaction.

Meltdown = Losing your temper, making a mountain out of a molehill, making new threads with lengthy paragraphs complaining about something, swearing in posts, using all caps, etc.

Dave did what he had to do to protect the privacy of his beautiful fiance and her family due to the scum on getbig that are willing to get family/friends involved, like whoever called Candizzle's mother for example.  That's not melting down, that's just taking measures to keep your personal life away from getbig scum.

True, but you do always run the risk of finally pushing the buttons of someone who does expose you and unmask your details. You have to acknowledge the fact that if you push enough buttons, one of them will eventually go boom in your face.

True, but you do always run the risk of finally pushing the buttons of someone who does expose you and unmask your details. You have to acknowledge the fact that if you push enough buttons, one of them will eventually go boom in your face.

He pushed the envelope. Definitely an internet legend, seeing we're all obsessing over him.  :o

Squadfather's posts/threads about people are in a laughing tone, not a serious one which starts with a multi-paragraph post like this one.

anyone who thinks he doesn't take it seriously needs to look in both my and DA's PM box, so you can see what happens when his ego is hurt. he was legitimately angry with me for poking fun at him for being fat. i was getting HUGE pms where he started talking about how "back on mayhem when i posted as daverelli i used to defend you" and shit like that.

he's all chuckles 'n' high fives as long as he's dishing it out, but holy shit does he turn into a baby when it gets turned on him. hence, this thread's a huge success. :)

Don't mistake commenting on ' return ' as obsessing , of course its going to be a hot topic that he's ' back ' especially considering his mega-meltdown and begging of the mods and Derek Anthony lol the internet-legend that was humbled by some G4P star lol now thats classic

In truth, we are all a bit like this. I cheated on a bunch of bitches and congratulated myself. When I had it done to me, I couldn't believe the world could be so cruel.

when all the "exposures" were going on about a year and a half ago, SF -loved- it. he was so proud when my shit was found on another site and posted up with my real name ad nauseum, more than happy to watch when everyone else's personal info got laid bare.

he and the guys defending him in this thread didn't care about "exposing" that "no one" guy, posting his real name, where he went to school, the works. but when it happened to SF, oh well shit now it's suddenly "wrong". ::)

In truth, we are all a bit like this. I cheated on a bunch of bitches and congratulated myself. When I had done to me, I couldn't believe the world could be so cruel.

you nailed it. and at least you recognize it. the guys getting all self-righteous in here about it are just sad.

i got swarmed by people telling me how they're glad you were gone. you weren't respected or admired, dude, you were tolerated. since you posted 200 times a day some days, people just decided it was easier to be on your side than to deal with your freakish obsessing when you decide you need to "own" someone. i was even getting messages from people i thought would have stuck on your side no matter what.

You kind of are technically posting PMs if you're telling everyone about what was supposedly in PMs that Squad sent you however long ago. I know danielson is referring to a separate PM and a different issue, but you're still doing what you claim not to be.

Dave did what he had to do to protect the privacy of his beautiful fiance and her family due to the scum on getbig that are willing to get family/friends involved, like whoever called Candizzle's mother for example.  That's not melting down, that's just taking measures to keep your personal life away from getbig scum.

What about melting down on every page of another forum after getting the cold shoulder from a source?

Would you like me to continue? ;)

You can lie, you can call people liars..it's all allowed.
finally someone understands, its all about entertainment value, the rest of you are gay schmoes whose lives revolve around getting home to get the latest internet drama updates hahaha. i dont care if DAVE is a wheelchairbound mongoloid whose never lifted in his life, in fact it would be even better if he was just that. haha

i'm pretty much going to have to side with this one.. it is the internet..and if you get that red-assed over something to the point of e-stalking someone, i think that's alittle much.
