HAHA as par a few pms and discussions I've had with people both over the phone and online here.. i'm curious to see how many people actually take lifting seriously. It's a little bet I've got going on with a buddy of mine. I myself for example have been around for awhile and have progressed from a shitty 500lb deadlift to almost 7 hundo in the time spent here... and have since become a sponsored competitive athlete during that time. I've been picked up via atlarge nutrition, and APT prowriststraps for lifting gear. I know pegg, squad used to, a few of us on the training board, the new mr. get big AVESHER ;D, and the hand full of pro's and competitors here but, other than that, what do you guys think the percentage is to lifters vs. bullshitters here? ;D

just making sure people get a chance to take advantage of it before the sale is over due to it's short sale availability. I've contended with quite a few pms lately asking about more details and product information which is exactly what it's supposed to do.

DUDE! alot of worship and "outtings" have gone on in the ol' GO lately.. more so than in years past too. Influx of people turning their own knobs to come out of the closet? that is unless "sevatese" finds them first ;D

hey doin work is doing work brutha.. with 168 hours in aweek... there's no way people can't find at least 2 or 3 to dedicate time to the gym. This is exactly what i explain to prospective PT clients and they seem to feel even lazier looking at it that way.

Was just talking to my oldest daughter last week. I'm severely behind on Bleach Anime and Manga, nearly 2 months. Haven't even seen Diamond dust revolution yet. In a month or two things will slow down some and I'll catch up.

I'm training 3-4 times a week for the last 11 years. Had my ups and down.
I'm 100% consistent with tha booze and tha burgerking though.

i think if we tried to list off how many people on GB either barely lift or completely BS the number would be astronomical. to read getbig you'd think the biggest dude in every gym across the country is who signed up. guys weighing 215 pretty damn lean are getting made fun of when if that person stepped into a gym he'd be one of the biggest dudes there, it's almost PAINFULLY obvious how many people here only have experience in weight training from reading magazines.
as for how serious i take it, i could definitely stand to dick around a little less, eat better, and quick wimping out during the second half of my workouts. :P

i competed several times (olympic lifting) but do not have to stick to a strict diet. that is, as long as i stay under 231, which is only a couple pounds away ;D

yeah you see alot of 6' 260lb guys with my build in every gym out there.. we're fairly common. ;D ;D Along with all the 600+lb pullers and competitive strongmen/powerlifters.
in with my "company" i'm average.. in with your typical gym "goers" ?! i'd question that

Id guess it's more like
10% total schmoe or here for the humor (or both), no lifting at all.
30% casual, 1-2x a week, no dietary discipline whatsoever, fat and strong is ok by them.
20% insane overtrainers who should just eat some fucking hamburgers and quit living on supps.
35% dedicated but with realistic expectations, 4-8 hrs/wk, enjoy lifting & BB but it's not their whole life.
5% living to bodybuild. If they could go anywhere on a Sat night, they'd go to the gym.

Starting weight 170@5'11" currently 230lbs
Train 4 days a week weights + cardio total time in gym per week 8 to 9 hours
Diet is good, not super strict, no need no plans on ever competing, currently 34"waist
Lifts are decent nothing to brag about,I bodybuild, I am not a powerlifter
Goals 240 to 250 w/32" waist
I lift only because I enjoy it.

First off that pic sucks. Why don't you post some better pics if you want to impress people. Not saying you're not a big guy.......but you're definitely average as far as your physique goes. Maybe you're a strong guy. But if I saw you walking down the street I'd think average guy. It's easy to say yeah yeah I'm holding some fat and Im out of shape or whatever. QuakerOats uses that line all the time and we've seen his pics. We already have one Spermateste posting his pics every other thread thinking he's some sort of genetic phenom bodybuilding marvel........when in reality he looks average as well. We don't need another.

By the way the gym I trained at for a lengthy period of time was club MetRx in Costa Mesa, CA. So I'm used to seeing some big bodybuilder type dudes to answer your question.
