Having originated from the gallows of the East Coast Tri-State muscle world, I can tell you that it is even dirtier than the west coast version. I still have many friends that have kept competing in the scene back east. Guys that will never earn a pro card , but do it cause they love it. But let me tell you something.....the tri-state area is the sleaziest in the country for G4P and homo muscle schmoe judges and gym owners. Bottom of the barrel motherfuckers.
When I was still back there, there was a notorious top judge that was also a gym owner of one of the most hardcore gyms in the area. This guy had many competitors coming out of his gym. The guy was a really sick bastard. He was long married with kids and he loved to have some choice black male heavyweights fuck his wife in the gym late at night when it closed. He would beat his cock off and he loved to place their cocks into his wife.
In the early 90's he had a top,top amateur heavyweight training at his gym that was dating this gym owner/judges daughter too. And this sick fuck had the bodybuilder tape his fuck sessions with his daughter so that he could beat off to this big black muscle man fucking his daughter. One time one of the black guys that was fucking his wife decided to start fucking her without the gym owner/judge present, and the bodybuilder was blackballed in every local national qualifier in the area for years to come.
This same guy also loved to take young teen bodybuilders under his wing and suck them off in the shower of the gym. In exchange he would supply them with there entire cycle for the show. He used to tell them that he was priming them for the realities of a life spent in pursuit of a pro card. And that it was better if he showed them the ropes safely and the limits of what would be asked and how to work the scene.Some of my close friends were these guys at the time.
But this man was not the only filth back in the tri -state area. He is just one of many east coast filth. Chic knows who these fuckers are.And he probably knows just who i am talking about in this post. They are legendary. And best of all , these guys are still running the show back east. Maybe that is why chic left that sess-pool. The west coast scene is nothing compared to back east. But like I always say, maybe this is just rumors. Maybe just gossip. Just my opinion.

I remember pumping up backstage at a contest and this fucker was backstage helping one of his young teen bodybuilders pump up and get oiled. There was a product that had just come out called hot Stuff vasodilator. It smelled like cinnamon candy. And it would stink up the auditoriums. It supposedly made your skin hot and brought out your vascularity. Well it was new stuff and it was getting passed around by a few guys that had it backstage. I passed on it and handed it over to this schmuck and guess what he sad to me? He asked me what it is used for..... I told him for bringing out vascularity........he then replies, " Can you suck dick if its on a person?" I got really uncomfortable and uncomfortably laughed it off. I was a young teen competitor still and this guy was a huge fucking pig. Too bad he wasnt asking me to fuck his wife instead.

I dont know what club he referred to, specifically...if he's talking about Diamond Gym (Kempers)....I may have trained there once while we were competing back in my teen days....other than that, I used to rain at S&S gym (Bob Bohnhams) here and there, as I dated a girl who lived on the Jersey shore for a bit....thats about it

He said he could have added zero's to the ends of my numbers and STILL been taking less than many he knew...

i believe it. most of the biggest heavyweights i knew took less than most of the 180 lbs. guys.
i was my best in 1991 using very little, later i took 5 times as much and didn't look any better.

In the late 80's I trained with a bb named Darryl Perry who was alway referred to as just "Perry." He and I trained together at Westside Muscle and Strong & Shapely.
Prior to that, Perry spent a great deal of time at Diamond Gym and did well competing. In my opinion, he could've become Flex Wheeler just before Flex came onto the National scene. Perry was close friends with Tony Alicia and competed with him in the Junior USA's before Tony passed.
Perry had a huge falling out with some people down at Diamond and never competed again. He and I are very close friends to this day and he once told me back then that it wouldn't have mattered what he looked like on stage because he wasn't going to place well and that's that.
I also know very well the current Pro BB to whom you refer that did well as a younger bb but also had a falling out at Diamond.
I have no first hand knowledge of any unsavory antics but the world of bb is for sure filled with craziness.

Everytime I post something I know about I get slammed. Training with a pro bb for 11 years now has afforded me some pretty kool experiences and some that are not so kool. I came on this site some time ago to offer an insight into training with a current pro and also to give and receive information. Turns out, I was accused of trying to promote product, being gay, being American Indian, being a schmoe, being a wimp, etc. At first I thought it was funny but after awhile I just figured hardcore bb fans were practically non-existent.
The reason I responded here is because I often saw BeefyHeavyweight criticized or doubted and I knew that many of his stories were, in fact, true. This particular story actually involved a very good friend of mine who was blacklisted due to politics. That stuff really hurts our sport and there's too much of it with the magazines, product companies and judges. I like the fact that GetBig has the integrity and guts to call it like it is. I guess I just got tired of the racist gay attacks which seemed unwarranted.

Perry was an awesome bodybuilder. Loved the way he used to dye his fro blond.He could have went very far. And poor Tony Alicia, god rest his soul. Died too young from a heart attack. After he won the juniors I thought he would have turned pro. Very sad.

Just hung out with Perry the other day. He is about 225 and in great condition. He had incredible quads and was so dry in the midsection that it was scary.
As far as Tony Alicia, I never heard anyone ever say a bad word about him. A real tragedy.

harley,beefy are right nd most names from that gym were either tremendous up and comers,or cusp of it,but they all somehow ,someway had there way not all but dated the same names and owners ,just facts thats all.all old news.almost anyone wanted to or tried to go there for some help,exposure,push,or to be seen to get ahead or a little more judges eye to move on in bbing scene.

In the early 90's he had a top,top amateur heavyweight training at his gym that was dating this gym owner/judges daughter too. And this sick fuck had the bodybuilder tape his fuck sessions with his daughter so that he could beat off to this big black muscle man fucking his daughter. One time one of the black guys that was fucking his wife decided to start fucking her without the gym owner/judge present, and the bodybuilder was blackballed in every local national qualifier in the area for years to come.

everthing beef said is on the money,i trained at that gym from 81 till 2000,i believe the gyms under new ownership now as the original owner sold it to one of his long time members,same name just a new cat running it.the old owner was scoping my (ass) out in the showers years back so i decided ill wait and take my showers when i got home,lol.i remember holding the soap real tight that day,i didnt want the soap falling on the floor with that big bastard behind me cause i would have been in deep trouble bending over to pick it up.that owner would have been like captain kirk and (went where no man has gone before).i wasnt down with the homo scene but alot of dudes where,the guys who where trying to get their pro cards where taking it up the old hershey highway

big johnny m. wasnt down with the homo shit,i know that much.johnny was busy banging all the putang that walked,he must have about 50 kids by now,just kidding.but he was straight up,as far as the others i have no comment cause i only heard things but never witnessed to much.they used to have this broad who cleaned the gym and she would be walking in the mens locker room talking with the members while they where butt naked taking showers,shaving,whatever,i couldnt believe what i was seeing,lol.it was the sodom and gamora of the gym industries back then.when i first started going they had the showers downstairs and the locker room was small as hell,you had to bend your head down to get in,it was in the very far right corner in the back of the gym right before the back parking lot.but you had some big boys back then,big nick lavatola was an animal,you had big red haired mike calibrese,some dude gary with long black hair who was huge also and some other beasts.carla dunlop was training at the same time i was every morning with the owners wife,carla is a really cool lady.all in all it was the best place to train back then,the energy coming out of that gym was insane.soon as you walked in you got jacked up to start training and with huge animals walking around you stayed motivated.and everyone for the most part was pretty cool,i was a young buck just starting out and the older members wouldnt mind showing me a thing or 2 if i asked about how to do the exercises right and how to eat right.i really cant say anything bad about them guys as far as being friendly but the weirdo homo shit kinda kept me on my toes,i never knew who might have been scoping out my keester and having fantasies about taking a ride down my old dirt road heading toward my hershey highway

As someone who trained at Diamond Gym from the time it first opened on Springfield Ave. in Irvington NJ (it's first location in the mid 70's), until the late 80's, I can say it was quite the place. Thre were many memories, some good, some bad. The first Diamond Gym Christmas party was legendary, everything from the hookers giving blowjobs, to the pot someone decided to put in the heater.
I personally knew all the people, the owner and members mentioned in the posts about Diamond Gym, and while it wasn't the place for everybody (nor should it have been) the one thing that was for certain was that the gym had its own character!
