I have nothing against T2. But Florida (like LSU , OSU and OU) plays no one for half the year. Embarrasses themselves a game or 2 then falls into the National Championships. While SC plays nothing but Dv 1 teams ...pretty much only loses in the state of Oregon...and always has to play in the Rose Bowl.

That's not USC fault. The would have beated Florida who lost to Ole Miss for Christ sakes. SC's only loss was to Oregon State in Oregon ....on a Thursday night. Just a bad night.

Honestly, I don't know what to think. I've never seen barkley play, but like I said earlier, if Carroll's starting him, it's for a good reason. Every year the experts have counted SC out, but every year we finish top 3 in the nation. So I don't pay too much attention to the pre season hype...since USC never gets any ;D

SC is not like "MANY SCHOOLS" for it is SC!!!!!!!!!! Actually Clausen had the hype when he started for Notre Dame these are big time college programs and a starting freshman guy is big time stuff. I am still shocked Michigan is starting a freshman. But you need to go to the Ann Armour Pree Telegram for that news. That's what happens when you go losing to App State and Toledo at home.

Didn't USC lose 3 starting linebackers? Isn't Florida returning 22 1st and 2nd string defensive players? No Florida fan here, but you are delusional if you think USC would beat up on Florida this year. Maybe during the Reggie Bush, Matt Leinert years, but not this year, and not with a Freshman quarterback. Not even close. Cal has a good shot at upsetting USC this year as well, maybe even Notre Dame.

WHo cares about the Pac 10....it is to USC like the LH division was for Roy Jones in the 90's. Too ez but he still everybody. Oregon and Cal are good but I only focus on TOP 10 teams not Pac 10 teams. FYI in college football terms a cupcake is a team from a LOWER division....face is USC does NOT play cupcakes. Becaause the NCAA hates SC and the rest of the Pac10, the Rose Bowl is basically the only Bowl game that matters. They know SC will smack the blue off the gators so they won't let SC have that National Championship at home. So it will be Michigan States turn to get whipped by SC on New Years!!!

Unless conferences play each other top to bottom with equal matchups, you can't really make anything of it.

You will never hear me say that every team in the SEC is a powerhouse.....right now, in the SEC it's Florida and LSU.....but the SEC tends to have other teams rise up....like Bama, Auburn, Tenn, etc....whereas in comparison nobody in the Pac 10 rises up at all....no team outside of USC has been, or is a national power (excluding UCLA a million years ago.)
Of course I condider USC a powerhouse team that can beat any team on any given week, but the argument is SEC vs Pac 10. And no matter how good USC is, they can't carry the Pac 10 by themselves to national prominince.

It's had a lot to do with when you lose. And in regards to USC....it the weakass Pac 10 had a conference championship game, it would help them a lot. Beating a ranked team, on a neutral field that late in the season actually means something. Most of the time in conf championships both teams are ranked in the top 25.

I know its not this decade, but the Vols were undisputed and the inaugural BCS Champions in 1999. I agree with you totally though, especially 2003, LSU never gets the headlines for that year, USC Condoms still do.

Yeah they'd be favored by 173 points. Actually Carroll hates running up on teams like that and plays the recruits in the 2nd half. The problem is the recruits want to show their stuff and go wild. I went to an SC /ASU game it was 42-0 at half time...and I was pissed when the Devils scored.

Puhlease..if anyone got ripped off for th NC game it was Texas. They beat Oklahoma and only lost to TT on the very last play of the game and a remarkable play. USC lost to a team that ended up 9 and 4 with 3 of the best linebackers college football has ever seen and a great quarterback. ESPN has a huge hard on for USC, don't even act like they aren't the media sweethearts.

If the horns' cornors' were not plying 3 blind mice in the T Tech game then they would have gotten spanked by Florida. Texas has no running game....for God sakes, I think Colt led them in rushing!!!!! SC has 3 and a half (McKnight being the half) great running backs...and totaly reload with wr talent!!!! And a line that just dominates!!!! I respect Texas but they blew it in Lubbock last year!!!
