Title: Damn Coons
Post by: disturbia on September 30, 2009, 09:24:58 PM
Spilled my garbage, made a mess and probably have rabies---little buggers, but they are pretty cute.

Haha they are very cute indeed. I wonder if they can be tamed enough to be a pet. Do you know anyone who has tried?

we have raccoons that show up every month or so.  I crept right up on one outside in the trap, but couldn't finish him.  little guy ran pretty quick once freed.

I think I read somewhere that Raccoons are as intelligent as monkeys.  They can remember things for three years and solve complicated problems.

Those guys are really ingenious. I sat and watched one once, and I figured out why they are so good. They have hands like us -ie. fingers and a thumb. No wonder they get into garbage cans. They're like the criminals of the animal world.

Yeah I had the same guy,  real big fella, getting into my trash repeatedly.  I would always catch him when I was coming in from work since I work nights.  Last time I was on vacation I caught him about to pillage and he didn't scurry away fast enough,  I just wanted to scare the shit out of him,  I had to toss his torso into my asshole neighbor's yard. ;D

That was great!  What is funny is that near the end he mentions that unlike humans, monkeys prefer leaders who are drinkers.  I think that the phenomenon of humans not preferrring drinkers is a relatively new one.  Many of the great leaders in the past were hard drinkers, and it was a sign of being a man to be able to handle your booze.

Growing up I had girlfriends who had them.  They were cute when they were babies, but when they got older they got very wild and mean.  Their nails were very long and scratched the heck out of everything.

A couple of years ago I was taking care of a friends property while he was gone.  I went to lock up the chicken coop and there was one in there eating a chicken. >:(  He seemed fearless, just looking at me with blood all over his face.  He wasn't so cute  >:(
