I want to start to lean out for 2 months. Currently I am 225 lbs guessing 14-15% BF. What would you recommend for my daily macronutrients. If you like I can post pics before and after my 8 weeks or so and we can show them to Wiggs ;D

Just got off the phone with Wavelength,
Daily Sauna for you >:(
-
What would you recommend for my daily macronutrients.
800 Gr of McDonalds
450 Gr of Pizza
630 Gr of IceCream
At least 2 litres of beer per day to stay hydrated.

he has posted the principals many times
eat your requirement of protein
drink plenty of water
get your vitamins/minerals
intense weight training
caloric deficit
once you have your protein needs, fill in the remaining calories with whatever the fuck you like to eat....the macro micro managing
is a bullshit system the magazines are selling....if you are in a deficit, besides protein requirements to maintain muscle, it does not
matter at all what you eat because it is all burned by the next day
the only reason for meal frequency is personal, if you cannot handle eating 3 times a day because of hunger, eat more often, but it
is not essential to "rev the metabolism"....meal frequency upping your metabolism is bullshit

also being active in generall helps a lot

Only thing I don't agree with is the metabolism issue. The human body being in a state of homeostasis adds credibility to the metabolism argument. If the body is not "tricked" into burning more calories than you are taking in,,,,and I'm talking about when someone is seriously dieting.....I don't think you get the same results.
-
Why would you need to trick it to burn more calories if your training hard, weights and cardio, will burn calories.
-
Oh brother.... ::)

40g whey protein after your workout then french fries for the rest of the day.

I'm just trying to help you :D

i make sure i am in an overall deficit for the week, but i always eat maintenance to surplus calories one day per week...i lose fat much better if
i make my body think i am well fed at least one day

you argue just like a dumb fucking christian who is in denial of scientific proof...taking things out of context
just to convince yourself you are right

you cant trick your body. the idea is a fallacy, lol.

Oh brother.... ::)
wiggs, i understand your frustration, i have been through the same thing time and time and time again
i have posts years back on this site arguing against adonis about a calorie is a calorie...i was so fucking sure
that i needed specific ratios and could not eat carbs before bed, carb cycling, no sugar, etc etc etc
everytime my diet crashed because of binges out of frustration
just give this a try, i promise you it will not only work, but you will make it all the way through a cut without
quiting or feeling like dogshit
just try it, what have you got to lose?
-

i have been on a cut since january and the only weeks i had a smaller loss were the weeks i did
not eat more calories on at least one day....do you think this plays a part with the leptin hormone
slowing metabolic levels when on a controlled starvation

mainly, overeating prevents the body from decreasing thyroid hormone.
i have a theory that fat storeage primes fat burning. but no evidence besides anecdotal.

190g of protein, rest irrelevant.
You sure you're 225 @ 15% ?
-
Oh brother.... ::)
Wiggs, I guarantee you 100% that it works. If you try and fail, I'll delete my account and never post on GB again. You don't even have to prove it, I'll take your word for it.

I use that term because most people refer to it. It's not really a trick, it's just using the bodies tendency to want to remain in a homeostasis state. I guess it's best explained by thinking about the body having a set number of calories that it uses in a day. Sure you can do endless, mindnumbing cardio to go into a caloric deficit.....but if you are taking in the same amount of calories and doing the exact same amount of cardio, I guarantee over time your body will adapt to it (thats what homeostasis is referring to) and that is where people plateu. Or you can "trick" the body by not allowing it to adjust to a set number of calories or cardio in a day. Does that make sense, as I sometimes ramble.

Nice, I'm sure Wave will agree, its very simple actually take in more calories than you burn = gain weight, take in less = lose weight.

Exactly. People make it too complicated. i think where people get off track is in thinking about just losing some weight so they look/feel better vs. serious rippedness....just made that up....but I'm sure you know what I mean. It's insane to see how a body can be transformed.

Well I don't really believe in plateaus. Maintenance intake will go down with body weight of course and metabolism also adapts a little, but much less than claimed. If you "plateau", simply reduce calories or up cardio, whatever is more convenient. I don't believe in a "memory" effect of metabolism (very extreme situations aside).

Wave on the money again. You have to keep dropping cals a bit or upping cardio its all about what you maintenance level is.

Wouldn't you consider that the bodies want to stay in a homeostasis state? So therefore you have to either up calories, or up cardio... And I do think there is a "memory" in metabolism so far as each person's body certainly has a predisposition for high or low metabolism, probably thru their thyroid's production, or lack of, TSH.

What I meant is this: When in a deficit, metabolism slows down somewhat. Also, when losing weight, maintenance intake goes down. But as soon as you eat more again and start to gain weight again, the effect is reversed. I don't believe that by a certain pattern of lowering calories or upping cardio, you can get the body in a state where it wouldn't lose weight anymore, which it would if you would have got to the same point differently. What people usually mean with a "plateau" is that they need to do something out of the ordinary to "trick" the body into losing weight again, like actually upping calories or eating more frequently or upping cardio instead of lowering calories, and so on.

Gotcha. I think the real tough task comes in regards to losing bodyfat and retaining muscle.....people get a little crazy on the calorie deficit and they get that funky skinny-fat thing going.....
-
wavelength - what do you think about the protein found in ezekiel bread, oats etc? This doesnt count does it, because the amino profiles arent complete?

I don't think the task is that tough. All you need is enough protein and intense strength training. At least that's what you can do as a nattie. I gained strength on my last cut, it's not that hard to do.

A combination of different incomplete sorces can make a complete source. But anyway, I never understood why one has to have protein in everything. I just get enough protein from shakes, meat, fish, eggs, cheese, and don't worry about the rest. More is never a problem anyway.

Will you ever post a training video? I'm sure your fans would appreciate it.

Calm down Gloria.
By the way, could you tell me what I am arguing? I didn't realize I was arguing anything.
