We'll see which one wins.

Cuda "plum crazy" color?
I would chose the Charger for USA and the Ferrari Dino 246 for EUR (well let's say ita, not so much outside apart maybe for the Jag e-type)

Ha! When I lived in the UK, many moons ago, we called those cars 'plastic pigs.'

I had a pic of Arnold climbing out of a 1970 Corvette Stingray in black and white, but I can't find it on the web or in my PB accounts....

I restored a 69 Chevelle SS and showed it and won many awards. I sold it when my daughter turn 16 to buy her a car. It was not numbers matching but was not a clone. 396 375hp. Sweet ass ride. The award plaques are still hanging in my garage.

Nice, I have an 89 grey with silver pin stripes. Looked pretty badass before it got keyed and smashed with a beer bottle.
My favorite car from my youth was my pure white 89 GTA, had it lowered with 18 inch custom Ronal 5 stars...the lips were chrome and the stars themselves were painted the same color as the car. also took off all of the emblems off of the car except the badge on the nose....really clean looking.
commonplace now but back then it stood out....I loved that freaking car.
Fast too, had a chevy crate motor with a hotter cam and bigger intake manifold put in, along with a better exhaust, fucking car was a rocket, monster torque. Never got the chance to upgrade the tranny to match....wrecked it. some old lady just blew a stop sign and creamed me. And she gets out of her car and starts yelling at me....i wanted to kill her
I still get the itch to rebuild that car exactly as it was

Soooo sad what a shitty feeling that must of been. I saw a MINT black GTA with the honeycomb rims and gold emblems today, badass ride. Stood out over the all the other cars on the strip. Really nice ride and sounded mean too, very sinister looking. I feel for you man, for some reason when you have a hot car its always a target for bad luck. My first car was a 92 Jetta and I couldnt pay someone to fuck it up. My Iroc got keyed, bottled, and someone even slashed my fucking tires, thing was a magnet for hate. :'(

One of the worst bodystyles and it was neutered...
The 68-73 was better. The right curves, the right front and rear bumpers, the right ducktail, the right interior, and the right engines...by 74 they fucked up the design with those bumpers and the rear. The wheel arches were to pronounced. The 79s had virtually no real pwer and had fake dual exhausts.
If the Porsche 911 and Corvette were (still are) rivals, at the time it was the 911 that was winning. Those late 70s to early 80s C3 represent the dark ages of the Corvette Brand---superficial, exaggerated styling without the power to match.

Amen. You are correct. That being said, not a fan of American cars in general, driven tons of them, just doesn't have the right feel to me, lots of power, that's all.

That's the thing, lol. I'm more about the "overall" car. The chasis, suspension, balance, etc...
One of my favorites the BMW 3.0 CSL "batmobile."
The old Porsche "yellowbird," and of course, the e30 BMW M3 Evo. Dozens more, the only ones I could think of on the top of my head. ;)

Sick ride, love the rims. Everything has to go well together on a muscle car, That one has the right look.

I'm in love with those Ford pick-ups, and of course i would like to have a battered one and a little rusty ;D
i'll always be a dream, here in Ita is difficult even to find top shelves muscle cars, forget about pick-ups.

A family up the street from me when I was a kid had a 79-80 Vette...it wasn't until I was in my teens did I realize how slow it was...and that all those exaggerated curves were show---it promised more than it delivered...like a busty woman...who happens to be a virgin and a nun...
I will post pics of some "barn" finds...basically old cars on my fam's farm (65 impala couple, 67 Bel Air sedan--looks like the Supernatural 67 Impala sedan, and 50s Chevy Truck with dump truck option)

This and the 76 Starsky and Hutch I had until 2003 were my favorites. I grew up watching the TV show S&H and always loved the car. Then Smokey and the Bandit came out and I really loved the Trans Am. But I'm a huge fan of muscle cars and if I ever hit the lottery...

none taken each to their own as they say. a guy i worked with spent all his pennies on this. i remember iron butterfly in a gadda da vida playing on the premium sound system featuring an 8 track player.

Sold the Torino when the movie came out to the Vice Prez of Ticketmaster. Just sold the Trans Am in the last 6 months.

Ive never liked the mid to late 70s cars...blah styling, and blah performance. My dad had a 79 T-bird Diamond Jubliee Edition (only 14,000 made). It had a single exhaust, with a 351 Cleveland---it looked like a pimp mobile...due to the oil crisis, they stifled most of the cars performance that came out. Even the TA with it's big ass 455 (I think it was)---it still didn't have the go to match the show. besides I never liked that bodystyle---my mom had a first gen Firebird, it was gorgeous.
The only old cars from that era that I like are the MGs, 911, e21 3 series...generally the small displacement cars, as they were not that much affected by the oil crisis like the big displacement cars were.

Just messing with you brotha.. They are beautiful cars.. A good friend of mine has one of those completely tricked out.. He used to be one of the best car stereo installers in Bklyn.. He won numerous Professional stereo sound competitions with it.. He bought it off the showroom floor, and never drove it.. Put a stereo in it,and towed from competition to competition.. When I was younger, all of my stereos were done by him,but he wasn't cheap either, and just a few yrs.ago, closed down.. All the cars nowadays, come with pretty good sounding systems, and no more of that being heard 5 blocks away car systems..

Yeah when I bought mine I had a pretty big system in it, but when I got older it seemed big sound like that is completely pointless and redundant and comes with lots of problems. A 10" sub in the trunk is enough for me, I dont wanna blow my dates eardrums out or show off to the people 5 blocks away lol. I hardly ever see a nice IROC, ever. They are pretty rare cars no doubt.

Best system I owned was an Eclipse head, 12 inch sub in the trunk, some mids and tweeters in the passenger compartment, not a whole lot of amps... Was perfect for my tastes.. Fleetwood Macs live CD sounded amazing..
