This and the 76 Starsky and Hutch I had until 2003 were my favorites. I grew up watching the TV show S&H and always loved the car. Then Smokey and the Bandit came out and I really loved the Trans Am. But I'm a huge fan of muscle cars and if I ever hit the lottery...

do you still have them? Love the Torino but the TAm is fantastic

none taken each to their own as they say. a guy i worked with spent all his pennies on this. i remember iron butterfly in a gadda da vida playing on the premium sound system featuring an 8 track player.

Ive never liked the mid to late 70s cars...blah styling, and blah performance. My dad had a 79 T-bird Diamond Jubliee Edition (only 14,000 made). It had a single exhaust, with a 351 Cleveland---it looked like a pimp mobile...due to the oil crisis, they stifled most of the cars performance that came out. Even the TA with it's big ass 455 (I think it was)---it still didn't have the go to match the show. besides I never liked that bodystyle---my mom had a first gen Firebird, it was gorgeous.

The only old cars from that era that I like are the MGs, 911, e21 3 series...generally the small displacement cars, as they were not that much affected by the oil crisis like the big displacement cars were.

Haha no I was born in the 80's and always liked them, bought one when I was 19 and still have it. The Italian rep those cars get died in the 90's I think, they were always a wop car though.

If it's amercan and I had to pick, 67 Sting Ray comes to mind, maybe even a 66 with a 427 in red.

Another maybe an old Ford GT40 or Shelby Cobra.

Just messing with you brotha.. They are beautiful cars.. A good friend of mine has one of those completely tricked out.. He used to be one of the best car stereo installers in Bklyn.. He won numerous Professional stereo sound competitions with it.. He bought it off the showroom floor, and never drove it.. Put a stereo in it,and towed from competition to competition.. When I was younger, all of my stereos were done by him,but he wasn't cheap either, and just a few yrs.ago, closed down.. All the cars nowadays, come with pretty good sounding systems, and no more of that being heard 5 blocks away car systems..

Yeah when I bought mine I had a pretty big system in it, but when I got older it seemed big sound like that is completely pointless and redundant and comes with lots of problems. A 10" sub in the trunk is enough for me, I dont wanna blow my dates eardrums out or show off to the people 5 blocks away lol. I hardly ever see a nice IROC, ever. They are pretty rare cars no doubt.

Best system I owned was an Eclipse head, 12 inch sub in the trunk, some mids and tweeters in the passenger compartment, not a whole lot of amps... Was perfect for my tastes.. Fleetwood Macs live CD sounded amazing..
