WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul says he raised $8 million in the last three months.
The Texas congressman said Wednesday that his campaign will report that sum when it files its fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission later this month. Paul also says his campaign has more than 100,000 donors.
Paul says "we are very pleased with that" and called his effort "pretty sound numbers."
Paul raised $4.5 million during the first fundraising quarter of his campaign.

How much did Obama raise during the same time?
How much did the other candidates raise during this time?

I could be wrong, but I think he is releasing his numbers before everyone else.... so taht when Mitt announces $5 mil and Perry announces $4 million, RPaul will be mentioned in each of their news story ;)

Or not lol...

This. ;D

Waste of money.
-
I don't feel anyone giving their money to any candidate is a waste.
It's being involved.

Probably much more. Ron Paul is not backed by corporations, because he doesn't bow to them.

Exactly! That is Democracy...much more so than Corporations giving money to candidates on both sides in exchange for favors from whoever wins.

"He'll also note that the campaign has more than 100,000 donors — five times as many as Rick Perry."

He takes money from them.
I'm sure he does, if they give him any. But he will not return any favors in exchange, and they know it.
-
People on both sides should just send me the money.....I'm just as likely as ANY of the candidates to do anything to improve their lives.

You would probably add a few more body scanners at airports, school and the mall to help make us all safe.

Shouldn`t you be out marching with your stinking brothers on Wall Street?

Shouldnt you be spending more time with your girlfrined?
Oh thats right. You dont have one. At least not a real one.

What does that have to do with this thread??
I hate scanners. They are fading, though.
Can you just send me your Ron Paul donations?

....thats what you would do with the donations...and you love scanners, admit it. You would stand at the screen all day watching men pass through if you could. :P

Jezebelle and I are married. I hope this helps.

Nah. The few times I've been through them I've had to fight the urge to give them a one finger salute. :)
I'm looking forward to them letting me keep my shoes on. ::)
I'd put the donations to good use though. About to go through a creatine loading phase.

easy on attacking family here. That's a rule I do and will enforce everytime I see it.

You two got married? When? Congratulations!
I thought you hated the institution of marriage, too religious, society's plot to control people, etc. Did she talk you into it?
-
Neither. Why do most Paultards have facial hair and lack girlfriends? I`m really bi curious.
No surprise here. Dont worry, we wont hold it against you.

I don`t hate the institution of marriage at all as it is not religious in nature whatsoever. I wish everyone could get married, regardless of sexual preference. In North Carolina you get many special privileges tax wise as well as special considerations when it comes to home ownership and other financial incentives and opportunity as they apply to small business.
Its wrong to deny everyone this special treatment. Jezebelle and I had no ceremony as we wanted none of that nonsense or waste of money. We went to the Justice of Peace and it took 5 minutes and that was it.

I rib you pretty hard and I do disagree with you on a lot of things but congrats as well and I do agree with the way you got married. Ill be doing the same thing with my woman. Huge weddings are a total waste of time and money unless you have plenty of both.

Thanks my friend. I know we are just discussing politics and don`t mind at all any language or ideas you use to hammer out your opinion. I do the same and do at times take a somewhat humorous and biting approach as well (at least that is how I see it).
I don`t understand why anyone wastes the money on a wedding. Jezebelle and I absolutely loathe everything that is associated with it and see it as completely useless. Jezebelle has a wealthy family (traditionally the brides family is supposed to pay I guess) so they were relieved to know that they didn`t have to shell out a complete waste of money on something so pointless.

Hey Adam, real question here...
I know you hate Paul, and I get that, but do you not believe at his core, that he believes what he is saying?
I feel that he at least believes what he's telling us, and as such, is at least doing his best to be honest... Don't you think that would be something nice to have in politics?
Generally most politicians are liars who contradict themselves constantly, don't you think?

That's what I like about him. Seems totally real. I think he's really respectful and decent. Doesn't come across like he's putting on an act. Totally modest too.

Buddy Roemer is much better and I believe is not only more intelligent than Paul, but is more sincere as well. Ron Paul likes his earmarks despite pretending to be against them.

You are picking bits and pieces without going into all the details.

You have to keep in mind that Obama is the only Democrat getting donations while the donations to the GOP are spread out among 7 or so candidates right now. Obama will probably haul in somewhere around $50-60 million, if I had to guess.

This is true... terrible comparison by me.

I made the same mistake looking at the numbers from the quarter before this one. Was wondering how Downgrade managed to raise 5x more than anyone else and only realized it after someone else pointed it out.

Guess it's no wonder that incumbents tend to keep their jobs... They get all the money.
