Ron Paul raises $8 million in 3 months

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul says he raised $8 million in the last three months.

The Texas congressman said Wednesday that his campaign will report that sum when it files its fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission later this month. Paul also says his campaign has more than 100,000 donors.

Paul says "we are very pleased with that" and called his effort "pretty sound numbers."

Paul raised $4.5 million during the first fundraising quarter of his campaign.

I could be wrong, but I think he is releasing his numbers before everyone else.... so taht when Mitt announces $5 mil and Perry announces $4 million, RPaul will be mentioned in each of their news story ;)

I don't feel anyone giving their money to any candidate is a waste.

Probably much more.  Ron Paul is not backed by corporations, because he doesn't bow to them.

Exactly!  That is Democracy...much more so than Corporations giving money to candidates on both sides in exchange for favors from whoever wins.

But Perry got DOUBLE the money that quarter.   

Everyone konws from his texas years that perry's for sale lol.   big donors there.

Nah.  The few times I've been through them I've had to fight the urge to give them a one finger salute.   :)

I'm looking forward to them letting me keep my shoes on.   ::)

I'd put the donations to good use though.  About to go through a creatine loading phase.
