Title: would you eat meat if you were born into a world that didnt eat meat
Post by: Marty Champions on November 11, 2011, 04:09:34 PM
but you knew you could but hardly anyone else ate meat

i didnt think you would either

dont follow the sadistic plot by the illuminati to give all of you cancer

before adonis chimes in saying vegetarianism gives you cancer, any limited regimen of fruits along with meat will still give you cancer, studies do not restrict meat, yet will claim such regular food can cause cancer again i remind you that any food will still contribute to cancer if you eat meat

at some point in my life i would sample it, and would eat it if i liked it.

growing up with a mother who was abad cook, there was alot of food i was more or less unaware of or didnt believe i liked - because it had always been prepared poorly. when i was out on my own i realized i wasnt as picky an eater as i thought i was.  i believe eat would be the same with carnivore/herbivore diet.

To look at these other health factors, a study published in 2005 compared more than 1,000 German vegetarians with nearly 700 health-conscious non-vegetarians over a 21-year period. This study found that there were no major differences between the groups in terms of death and disease

I don't eat any red meat or pork.  But I love fish and anything from the ocean, except octopus.
I come from a family of big meat eaters, but even as a child I hated red meat and would refuse to eat it.  I don't miss what I don't know.

people are dodging the logical response to the question

if you came into this world where people didnt eat meat. why would you choose to eat meat? certainly a moral battle would ensue when considering eating meat knowing that it comes from a living animal that is very similar to humans (eyes, mouths, legs , stomachs ect)

No

A baby looks at an apple...sniffs, tastes it, eats.  A baby looks at a cow, sniffs it and crawls the fuck outta' there, doesn't even get to taste test.

Most vegetarians share similar struggles as meat eaters.....why?

Take a loose quote of Joe Rogan from one of his podcasts...." I tried vegetarinism...for about a year, but, I felt weak....always felt kinda weak.  Ya' need to get some meat in ya' son!"

I don't know what his diet was for that year, but based on other vegetarians diets.....it was probably a lot of greens, nuts, avacados, olive oil,  faux meat burgers or something like that.  So why the weakness or..." yeah, I was better, but it just didn't work for me...."

Wheres the calories??????  Most of the calories they eat are from fat.....a head of lettuce is 60 - 70 calories, who can eat 30 heads ( or twice for getbiggers....) of lettuce in one day......ha ha ha ha, retarded.  So when people switch to a veggie diet, they get rid of the shit meat and drastically reduce calories so at first they feel better, and drop weight.  But after a bit, the emotional high of being on a diet dissolves and you start to feel hungry........so they add the fat, body no likey........ = diet burnout and feeling like shit again, so might as well add the meat back in cause thats what evoulution or god or blah blah blah intended.

What is missing from this picture?  What else could they of tried? Where can they get all the healthy carb/calories they want or need plus the veggies?

I`m all for synthetic meat, cuts of meat grown from cells, but people of your ilk call it spooky and throw a hissy fit whenever this technology (which we do have) is mentioned as a viable solution.  A perfect cut of meat with the perfect marbling can be created without any animal dying for it.

With that said, the cattle that ARE raised for meat, would not have been born otherwise so essentially they would have been dead to begin with.

As far as ethics go, don`t give me that bullshit.  How many insects do you kill?  How many virus do you starve and kill? How many plants do you kill? Where are you drawing the line of what you deem to be okay to kill and not okay?

adonis poor adonis settle down, your anger is causing you to drift off into other realms. this isnt rocket science, vegetarians dont contemplate how many poor tiny insects they hit while driving a car  ::) going into a silly argument about that is nonsensical. plants are here for us and us for them they support us by giving us oxygen aswell as we support them however we waste a shitload of trees for paper wich pisses me off but thats another story... . This is only digging the hole deeper when you cant validate eating a rather large 'being' of this earth.

Yes you can. Animal proteins are of a higher quality than plant proteins. Also, animal fats (e.g. DHA & EPA) are necessary for human health. Thus, it is ethical for humans to eat other animals.

 great post,

and meat stays longer in the body and degrades in a toxic way which also contributes to cancer, and it is often very acidic, especially pork, and acidity also contributes to cancer risk.

Don't eat meat anymore - but if folks really enjoy it and chose good quality... more power to them.
The only bad thing in eating meat is the mass production and the low prices/quality. If you shell out good money and know your source than it's yummy.

Where do you think fish get DHA from? Marine algae (!) which is where we can get it from too.

Everyone in my family is vegetarian and I was raised to be one, but I started eating meat in my 20s and don't regret it one bit. I love it and make up for my family ;D Red meat makes a huge difference if you're natural.

Falcon, it's in the order of Nature for animals to kill & eat and be eaten by other animals. Humans are biologically animals, so it's perfectly OK to kill a cow for it's flesh. And like Adonis said, the cattle is raised for the sole purpose of being consumed. Animals are natural resources that should be respected, but not revered and made untouchable. You wouldn't deny lions or tigers their share of meat, so why do it to humans? Yes, the whole rearing process could be more "humane", but that's a different topic altogether.

Ethics aside. Bodybuilding benefits of protein aside.

It's shown that almost all cases of heart/cardiovascular disease and obesity are directly related to diet.

Drugs aren't the answer.

The answer is really simple. Diet. Cut out the animal products and you aren't going to die from your diet.

I have no problem with people killing animals for food. I do believe it's the natural order of things. And, nothing like a good, hearty protein meal every once in a while.

However, if I can prolong my life be eating less animal products, it's worth exploring.

I've been phasing animal products out of my diet for almost a year now and have shown no poor health results. In fact, exactly the opposite.
