What do you mean? I can`t recall ever being sick with anything since Chicken Pox. Besides, Doctors and the American Medical system are actually the third leading cause of death in the United States and possibly the number one killer if factored accurately. I am not saying that Medical treatment is nonsense, I am saying it is abused and not necessary to the extent people use it for.
Also, the town I live in has the highest air quality rating possible, no pollution whatsoever, 800 people or so and we avoid most of them the majority of the time, hence we are NEVER EVER sick.

No smoking, no recreational drugs, no steroids, no alcohol except expensive wine-1-2 glasses at most every now and then (once a month or once every 3 months or so).

My mother died of Lung Cancer, after making the 72 Olympics in Munich as an alternate (meaning her swimming career was done) she started smoking and never stopped, with a pack a day and more sometimes. She also smoked the most deadly cigarettes there were/are, Tareytons.
My father died of what they said was a Heart Attack, but it doesn`t seem to add up. There never was an autopsy. He was 6`4 and 180 lbs and always in good shape. One day he was mowing the lawn in 100 degree weather and died while doing so. I think it was a possible heat stroke and not being hydrated enough, sodium-electrolyte imbalance.
My grandmother lived to 96 and my other one lived to 91 and my grandfathers lived in their 80s and both smoked and drank heavily.

Yah, both mother and father went to the Doctor regularly as did my grandparents. My father was at the Doctor actually a week or so before he died for a regular checkup and deemed in perfect health. I don`t know beyond my grandparents as my great grandparents all lived during the Mid to Late 1800s so the medical history there is non-existent and it wouldn`t really be viable at this point.

I look at it this way. If there is/was any predisposition for early disease I'd go once a year at your age. I go twice at my age even though we don't have a history of heart disease or cancer. My dad was a smoker and died at 54 of cardiac arrest (not heart disease) he was 5'7 135-140 and basically worked himself to death. Grandfather was a heavy smoker and died of emphasima (sp) at 68. One grandmother lived to 96 the other to 99.8 (buried a day before her 100th.

Oh I see people daily, I just avoid close contact. The town I live in is beautiful, picture perfect. The epitome of Small Town America except that its filled with Plantation Houses and Historic Houses etc...
I can walk to every single thing. Post Office, Numerous Restaurants, Parks, Antique Stores etc, Grocery Stores. There are no mini-malls, no bars, no clubs nothing like that as it would ruin the Historical nature of the town. My own property and grounds are park-like as it is and a wonderful setting. I love working outdoors, planting trees, flowers and architecturally landscaping the grounds.
I never understood the appeal of living on top of each other in a city, clustered like termites.

Haven`t needed to since I got my braces taken off as a kid. A friend who was a dentist looked at my teeth and saw nothing. Dentists are a huge racket and they really are abused filling cavities that don`t even exist.
When I was a kid I had all of my teeth sealed with a plastic like sealent so I can never get cavities in the future. I also was born without wisdom teeth at all, so those never had to be removed.

I`m too young for them to perform any tests on anyways. You have to be like mid 30s or something before you can even get those type of tests such as a CT Scan or what have you.

I have known too many folks that waited for years and years. When they finally went it was because symptoms had become unbearable, and of course, doing anything to rectify their situations was too far beyond repair.
Waiting to get regular checkups is a mistake. If you have insurance, use it.

A couple years back I went to the doctors in Michigan to take care of a badly infected ingrown toenail. The antibiotics I got worked wonders but I was a little unsettled by the painkillers I was prescribed. I never really complained about the pain but the doctor prescribed me one of the more silently addictive painkillers there is: Tramadol. Since then I've looked it up and people that have come off both say that the Tramadol drawbacks are apparently only second to heroine. For an ingrown toenail mind you!!!

Go to the local plasma center, eat you a big mac before you go, and donate some plasma.....look at the filter when you are done! It looks just like the grease that is left over after cooking bacon! Eating non sense just now and again adds up! Your local visit to the doc is not going to catch much. And like dutch, not a big fan of physicians myself. ;D

I`d say the opposite for many reasons. The older the better in my opinion, not only financially but the values, wisdom and knowledge that is taught as a result of being older and from a different generation.
The worst, in my opinion, is the young mothers and fathers who can barely even take care of themselves let alone a child. Generation Nothingness at its finest.

You are in for a world of hurt when you finally do start to get the first toothache, then go to the dentist and realize you have a mouth full of cavities just that they all started hurting around the same time. You can have a cavity and have it not hurt for a long time, you will screw yourself over by doing this. By the way, the x rays they do now for your mouth they show you on computer screen right after, they aren't taking you for anything, you can see your cavities for yourself.

People don`t realize that its a business and a really easy one at that to fool people into small procedures and check-ups and follow ups.
The doctor wants that big fat insurance check regularly and will keep the well primed for as long as he can to draw as much as he can out of it.
If any of you has had any friends or family that are Dentists or General Practitioners you`d know how it all works.

I did get x rays done, but I never actually saw them. I was only briefed on the situation , when I heard them talking in the office the word 'extract' was thrown around quit a bit whatever that means.. they should show you x rays right away on computer screen in front of you in chair or bring them to you physically, I don't know why they wouldn't, then they can show you were you have cavities and what they look like compared to healthy teeth, you are basically going on trust.

Once a year. Get a basic CBC chem panel every six months from a lab I use. Proactive is better than dead.
