Title: Have you ever found someone dead?
Post by: BayGBM on March 23, 2012, 08:09:49 AM
Have you ever found someone dead?  It's kinda creepy.

If you died right now, who would find you?  A coworker?  Wife?  Roommate?  Landlord?  What would they find on your computer (screen) other than getbig?

I had someone die right behind me.

Me and two friends were working out in my friend Johnny's basement, and I was benching, one dude was spotting me, and Johnny went to do some chinups behind us.

he must have grabbed onto something that was live with juice in the rafters of the basement.. because he got electrocuted right there and dropped dead...True story

I once found a guy in the pub carpark at 11am sunday morning, apparently he was one of the regulars but had decided to sit outside and wait for a taxi....must have passed out drunk

It was pretty gross he was in a puddle of dried vomit and because it was summer and hot nights at the time, his face was really wierd and bloaty  :-X

Friend of mine once smelt an awful smell coming from next room in a shared house, guy was a jucky so after 3 days of knocking/banging wall occasionally they kicked the door through and guy was on the floor had OD'd and was all bloated and skin had gone black and there was juices all around him and loads of bluebottle flys/maggots on his face....i do not envy that moment  :-X :-X :-X

i drove past a motorcycle accident last year.  I was on the other side of the road.  Right next to the guy as they put a sheet over him.  Head all crushed down into his body.  Sad and weird and really, you didn't see a person anymore.

it was very fucked up, because a few days before it happened me and him got into a fight. Out of our group I was the second toughest. Mike M. was by far the badass of the group, and i was number 2...

Johnny was jealous of me (big surprise LOL) and  wanted to "take my spot" so he started a fight with me for no reason, and i beat the crap out of him, and threw a piece of plywood covered with nails on top of him and stomped on him. You could still see a couple of nail holes in his arm as he was laying there dead...That fucked me up for a while...the whole scene did...we were in the 8th grade at the time, kids.

let me tell you people, lifting a corpse is pretty much impossible all by yourself

if you ever need to move a corpse you are going to need a stretcher and a van

Went outside a club in South Carolina to get some fresh air and saw someone passed out with vomit all over the place. Just thought he was drunk and went back in.  Ambulance came about 10 minutes later and put a sheet on his head.  Apparently he had been dead for about an hour...

Also saw an old lady get run over by a city bus when I was a kid.  Nasty shit as the wheel went straight over her head

I worked in a morgue for a a year so I've seen a lot of dead bodies but since the question is have you ever FOUND somebody here is a good one - all true.

Worked in a very good hotel ***** stars - Germany - the staff had their extra house with shared apparments beside the hotel a bit on the side, all the staff were living there it was great you could shag all the pretty house cleaners etc. anyways - we had also two of the three dish cleaners living there - one had his own room, these were broken people like the once that would not get any other job and the one living alone was an alcoholic.
A day before he went for his annual yearly 4 weeks vacation he drank himself half to death in the local pub, slipped and fell down the steps to the toilet in the pub hit his head and got right back up making his way home.
Died in his bed the same night.
Door was locked.
Nobody expected him to be back to work the next day.
Summer time (really fucking hot).

First we noticed a strange smell - you know its rotten meat but the place was a madhouse with parties all the time and we all didn't really care too much to clean the place - but after two weeks the smell got real strong and we investigated.
First we thought he must have left the fridge open or something - we called the handy man from the hotel and because we didn't have a spare key and the doors were real thick (old school) he and myself broke the lock.

.....

Never forget it - first the smell hits you so fucking hard your in shock all you do is turn and try to run its so bad.

The guy was on his bed on his back - completely black boated belly and I remember that he had no eyes anymore as far as i can remember - mouth was open as well - AND FLIES EVERYWHERE!!
Window was half open (gekippt)
I went out to puke and dryheave for about an hour.

That room still smells on hot days - they ripped out everything and it still smells.

I was in MANY MANY firefights and as you can imagine saw multiples of hundreds in terms of dead bodies in 7.5 years in the military.  THE WORST was the Battle of Medak Pocket in Croatia, we fought for 3 days to contain the advance of J.N.A. (Yugoslav National Army).  I counted 60(!!!) plus 30-round magazines from my M-16 which I was firing ACCURATELY on semi-auto at the enemy which was no more than 100 meters/yards away, on the first day.
After 3 days, what enemy bodies had been left were in a sorry state, and we had to go on burial/identification detail.  SHIT YOU NOT, we smoked cigarettes non-stop to kill the smell all day. :-X
Not a nice story, I'm haunted by the images some nights.  It also keeps me working out if there can be a positive...

Geez...

Wes and Kwon, I can't even fathom how hard that must be.

I have been haunted by the death of people close to me.  My uncle (FDNY) died on 9/11, along with lots of people from my town.  The first woman I truly ever loved died in a car accident.  I no doubt planned on marrying her.  My best friend since kindergarten was killed after being hit by a car while riding his bike to work.  He was clean and sober for 8 months at that point.

When I was 20, I was a full blown junkie and hooked on heroin.  I copped at this dudes house where you could just phone him when you were outside and he would open the door and let you in.  It wasn't the projects, just some shitty neighborhood in Queens.  I showed up and called.  No answer.  I tried calling about 5 more times over the next 20 minutes.  He was always around or one of his people would be working the house.  It wasn;t even a question that no one was there to serve you.   Anyway, so I go to the door and try to investigate a little as I was starting to feel dopesick and was worried.   I noticed the door was slightly ajar so I called his name a few times with no answer.  I opened the door and entered the house to see what the deal was.   It was a door to the kitchen.  As I walked in I saw his body on the ground with a blood drenched white t shirt, strewn with bullet holes, probably 5-6.  The creepiest part was his eyes were still open.  There was probably (im guessing) a quarter pound of dope on the table with baggies and little spoons and scales out.  I panicked and ran from the house, not even thinking to grab any of the dope.  I went to a pay phone on the corner a few blocks down and called the cops.  Before I got off the phone, I could see 4-5 NYPD cars swarm the house.  I ended up copping from someone else because I still needed to obviously get well lol.  This was in early 2000s and there was a few articles about it online for the past few years.

Seeing that body fucked me up though.  You could almost see how scared he was how he had his eyes wide open and a look of fear and anguish on his face.  Definitely haunted me these past few years.  The thing I didn;t understand was why didn;t the killer take the dope.  I guess maybe it was just a hit.

Both of my parents were hard core heroin addicts, left me with 2 years locked up in the house for weeks - I survived by eating crackers and drank what ever water I could get.
Got taken away after a long drug stint and the police asked were I was - lucky me - I really should have died.

Now I look at my son sometimes and cannot fucking understand how they could have done that to me, I mean I look at him and imagine that he would be all alone and were he would sleep and nobody would be there when he cried.... even now I get real emotional...

Well the problem here is and I dont want to say too much because I am recovering - a childs most important times are from birth - 3 / 4 years old - that's when a lot of the basic stuff like trust and all is build (baby cries you go over baby learns I have something somebody comes and helps) that is never build of course.

I have all kind of issues with myself - HUGE temper - I can see litteraly red and go berzerk (or rather it happened when I was a kid) I am very egoistic with my time love to spend time by myself and shit loads of other things.

What I am trying to say here I have meet a lot of other kids with similar abuse issues and they all show the same symtoms, we are great in hidding it playing laughing and being the good guy, but when you have somebody open you up you look inside of you, most of us are real fucked up.
I know now that I will never be able to change myself and I will never be normal - and the older I get the madder I get at my parents.

But we all live in our little bubble pretending it doesn't happen - if we would be fully contiguous to all the suffering pain and agony we would go mad.

I think i go mad if my wife dies, I need her so much.

Fuck I don't even want to think about it.

Yeah, I'd say the intense grief is pretty profound, but it lessens substantially over time. Most definitely changes a person though

A friend's daughter is currently undergoing chemo for a life threatening brain tumor. I really couldn't image losing a child. Then again, I couldn't image losing my spouse till it actually happened.

But yeah, we're heading to Hawaii next year to get hitched with a small group of friends and family members tagging along.

Can`t blame you at all bro......I`m sure my cousins still have emotional problems too.

Stay strong dude! ;)

If i died most likely my wife would notice that.

Many years ago at a saturday night i came home and my grandmother was dead in her room.

I have been one of the first on site on some car crashes with already dead persons there an a biker or two dead on pavement i don't remenber, my brain kind of blocks bad memories.

One thing that shocks me is when i see obituary posters of people that went to school with me. Kind of reminds me of my own mortality.

I am sorry for all your sad stories.

Somehow I'm personally not afraid of death, nor dead people/bodies/etc.. (even seeing all the body parts ripped off if that's a car accident or so). Aging seems a lot more dreadful to me. When a person is "half dead/half alive", waiting for the "last day to come" on a bed or in a wheelchair.. Fuck that..
Only shock would be to find a dead relative, as it's an undescribable grief and sadness.. otherwise - bring it on bitches.

My Grandmother passed away while I was holding her hand in the hospital. My whole family was in the room. My Grandma opened her eyes and looked from the right side of the room all the way to the left side of the room and made sure she saw everyone while she was turning her head. As soon as she did that you could hear her take her last breathe. Then her eyes closed. It's an experience that really makes you value life and don't take things for granted.

let me tell you people, lifting a corpse is pretty much impossible all by yourself

if you ever need to move a corpse you are going to need a stretcher and a van

So very true!

One New Year’s Eve about 2003 or 2004 I went to a club with this muscle dude (bodybuilding related). He must have been 5’9” and 220#.  All night long he kept spiking his own drink with something he called Blue Thunder (a compound he brought with him).  By the time we started to leave, he just about passed out from the Blue Thunder, and I had to have help getting him into my car.  When I drove him home, I realized that I had to get him into the house and that damn near proved impossible.  Moving dead weight is one of the hardest things you can ever do.  I did eventually get him into the house and into bed.  He was able to help me as he was falling in and out of consciousness.

In the movies they make it look like moving a dead body is so easy.

I found my turtle dead when I was a teen.. was pretty sad. So I put him in the fridge to think what to do next (maybe keep the shell or smth). Tho' later I found out it was probably just a "winter sleep", so basically I killed it...  :-X

And in case I'd die - I encrypted my HDD so noone would find all the porn and other weird stuff.. (well I encrypted it in case it'd get stolen, but it good for being dead too)..

lol, but sorry for your loss.

Difference to your story is of course that you don't mind if you drop a dead body ;)

I have handled a lot of dead people when I worked in the morgue but you always make sure of course that you don't drop them.

Rushed to the hospital and saw my dad an hour after he passed. I was in total shock... His Dr thought he had bronchitis but it ended up that both lungs were completely covered with lung cancer(smoked his entire life). Was totally coherent on Friday, slipped into coma on Saturday, pulled off life support Sunday morning. Cigarettes got him a age 62. There was no hope for any treatment, medication, anything. At least, we never had to watch him suffer for months and months. It was a hard time.

He went through exactly what all of those new smoking tv commercials show:  literally suffocating from the inside, gasping for breath

My grandmother died(101 years) in my arms and same with my wife's grandfather(76 years).

When I was a kid, my family and I were in a campground sitting around the fire. On the adjacent highway, we heard a massive head on collision between:2 grandparents and their grandson in a pickup truck  vs. a semi tractor trailer.  I ran with my dad over to the pick up truck. The young boy and the grandpa were alive/awake and the grandma was dead in the drivers seat with the steering wheel/dashboard buried in her torso. My dad checked for vitals as I was standing next to him. He told me she was dead. That was so sad. The grandson kept on asking how his grandma was, over and over...   sad.

I've seen a few other deceased people just after they passed(accidents, etc...)

October 31, 1999: i was driving and the car in front of me was tboned on the drivers side hard...looked like a fucking explosion...i pulled over and as i approached the victim, he was in the passenger seat from the impact, both shoes knocked off, about 80 years old choking on his own blood, i could tell his ribs were mush...he died while looking me in the eyes...i just felt numb and helpless

The driver who caused the crash was a drunk who ran a stop sign and had his grandson in the car who had his entire forhead busted open...the old man that died was heading to the hospital to pick up his wife

I saw an old lady that was in her car and she was hit by a bus, the accident just happened...
And I was driving by, her car was all crushed, and her head was tilted back. I didn't realize she had died until my mother told me...

Also, one of my great aunts had died because she ate something in the fridge that had gone bad, and her eyesight had gone. My dad is notorious for eating food that should be thrown out---he doesn't believe in wasting food.

I've seen motorcylce accidents where it was a collision with a car, and the body has a sheet over it. I've talked to police officers that have been on scene of a motorcycle accident and they pick up the helmet which is a distance from the body, and find the head in the helmet.

Saw a Chinese delivery guy in NYC get nailed by a cab. All I heard was a screech I looked up to get out of the way and saw the cab hit the guy so fucking hard. The bike went flying but the guy hit the windshield smashing it. When the cabbie came to a stop the guy rolled off flying a few feet in front of the car. It had just started to rain when it happened and I was right near it. So I walked over within seconds there were people tending to him there just happened to be a fire truck there as well. I held an umbrella over him and blood was just pouring out his nose and mouth. You could see him swelling up. I'm pretty sure I watched that man die. It fucked me up a bit. He was around my age and I  kept thinking how he was just trying to make a buck in this fucked up city family's probably in another country all poor and shit. It was sad.

apparently he went out to feed the dogs and had a heart attack. guess he laid out there for days so the dogs finally get hungry and damn near devour him from the chest to his thighs. there wasnt any meat on the bones from his neck down to his thighs. damn dogs even ate his dick!

Years ago I was working for a friends small security company while I went to school for some extra dough. I had to drive to 3 company buildings and a small local cemetery and just make sure no one was fucking around or vandalizing. Brainless job. Anyways, it was dusk when I pulled into the cemetery. I noticed this person parked over by some graves with his stereo just blasting while he was sitting in a beach chair next to his truck. When I approached him it looked like he was sleeping and he wouldn't respond when I was talking to him. Dude had shot himself in the chest with a sawed off 12 gauge. The shotgun was like 4ft away off to his left. I called 911 and they wanted me to do CPR. I remember picking him up out of the chair and it sounded like water pouring inside him. I guess the blood pooled in his chest cavity and it flowed down when I lifted him. I just put him right back down and told the dispatcher he was dead. On his truck window he taped up his license and goodbye note. He killed himself because his girlfriend had left him. The one thing that he did that I still think about is he was wearing shooter ear muffs. Why? He was gonna die instantly after he pulled the trigger and he was worried about hearing protection.............. .................

Never found someone dead. However, saw someone die upon impact. The female passenger survived in this instance.

The two were being chased by the police. This was right off of Kitchener & Stanley Ave. in Niagara Falls (Canadian side) on the right side of Scenic Tours. For anyone that has been to Niagara falls, this is the first place you see right off of the Queensway 404 exit. When the car was attempting a turn left, it went diagonally into the tree. The window was warped where the head into it, like someone hit it with a bowling bowl. It was quite the scene. It was over as quickly as it started. I just saw the left turn and the hit into the tree - large thud and it's over. However, you could hear the police sirens from quite a distance before impact. The tree was old and thick, and the tree trunk the size of a mini cooper.

Afterwards a few of us went up close and examined the place of impact -- not even a dent on the tree. It was right across the road from the family business. As teenagers we used to play there on the makeshift swings.

P.S. By the way, later on we find out it was a armed bank robbery they were fleeing from. So one wonders whether it was the gentleman's 'fate or fortune'.

I saw a dead kid at a car accident scene. Must have been around 8-10 years old. His head was split open and I could see his brain. There was surprisingly little blood for the huge car accident that it was (multiple severe injuries, at least one death, multiple unconscious, three cars involved, helicopters came to take the people involved to the hospital).

When I was in like 4th grade, some sucka had a heart attack while driving, drove right into the side of our garage.
I was on my way to the bus stop across the street. So I opened the car door, and the bastard rolled out dead in the yard.
It was a shame, our poor garage got ruined.  8)
