It’s Friday, ya bastids!(good news for getbiggers that have a job!)

These unemployment numbers are good news for the nation... and for the Obama campaign. And the even better news for Team Obama is that these are numbers that Mitt Romney can’t lie about. OK, I should qualify that—Mitt Romney can lie about anything. But these numbers are much more difficult for him to lie about than the numbers he just makes up.
Mitt Romney claimed “This is not what a real recovery looks like.” Thanks Mitt, but I can’t think of anyone less qualified to comment on what is “real.” Mitt wants to tell us what a “real recovery” looks like! He can’t even tell us what’s really in his own tax plan, or his own tax returns, for that matter.
If you doubt that the new unemployment statistics are great for Obama, the biggest indication is that Republicans are accusing President Obama of cooking them. Former General Electric CEO Jack Welch accused Obama of falsifying the numbers. Come on, Jack—if you don’t like those numbers, why not just go with Mitt Romney’s fantasy numbers? Welch tweeted “Unbelievable jobs numbers. These Chicago guys will do anything. Can’t debate so change numbers.” The debate was Wednesday, Jack. They certainly changed them quickly. You should look at the report for signs of white-out! Does anybody even remember white-out? It must still be around. I think Jack Welch has been sniffing it.
Mitt Romney has some new things to say about his infamous “47 percent” comments. Mitt, I don’t care what you tell us about those comments. I want to hear what you tell a room full of millionaires about them. I don’t know exactly what Mitt would tell a room full of millionaires about his 47 percent comments, but I guarantee the first thing he would say would be “Is anybody recording this?”
Yesterday President Obama was on the campaign trail saying that he didn’t get to debate the “real” Mitt Romney. I’m sorry, Mr. President, but if you were debating a guy who was shape-shifting and lying outrageously, that probably was the real Mitt Romney.

Unemployment was supposed to be 5.5%. It's supposedly 7.8%. Lost in all of this was that it was never supposed to exceed 8% in the first place.
And conservative pundits predicted MONTHS AGO, almost a year ago in fact, that the UE numbers would be massaged below 8% just before the election.

Job numbers come out at the beginning of every month for the previous month, dodo. Rather common knowledge for those in the financial industry, as well as political junkies that are rooting for good or bad news to help their particular political party of preference.

That data point of course was foodstamps (or the government's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, aka SNAP), and we are confident that no readers will be surprised to learn that foodstamp usage for both persons and households, has jumped to a new all time record.
At 46,681,833 million the persons hooked on SNAP, the July number crossed the previous record posted a short month before, as the foodstamp curve continues 'plumbing' newer and greater heights each month.
More disturbing is that in the same month, the number of US households reliant on foodstamps rose by a whopping 99,493 to 22,541,744.

Every time Obama went for the "blame Bush" card, Romney dragged him right back centerstage, reminded him, "You're the president", and beat him over the head with his record.
Yes, the downgrade is on Obama. When you're the president, the buck stops with you. He's supposed to be able to unify people; HE DID NO SUCH THING. The lion's share of his policies were passed, when his party completely controlled Washington. Once he lost the House, he acted like a sniveling baby. Romney called Obama out, when Obama tried to act as if he's been bipartisan. Romney had to be such, with the bulk of his state legislature and senate being Democrats. Yet, he got stuff done. What's Obama's excuse?

Correction: WHERE WERE YOU? If you think that this is the only time we've criticized the unemployment numbers, you, Necrosis, and the rest of TK are OUT TO LUNCH.
We've been saying this for MONTHS. In fact, a number of conservatives (Rush Limbaugh, in particular) said nearly A YEAR AGO that somehow the UE numbers would magically get under 8%, just before the election.
The difference here is that people now KNOW those numbers are fishy. You forgot that, just a month ago, when unemployment went from 8.2% to 8.1%, EVEN THE AP ARTICLES cited that such a drop was due mainly to people leaving the workforce. But, don't take my word for it:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The labor market lost momentum last month as job growth fell to a disappointingly slow pace. The unemployment rate also fell, as more people stopped looking for jobs.
The economy added 96,000 jobs in August, down from 141,000 jobs in July, the Department of Labor said Friday.

We've been saying this for MONTHS. In fact, a number of conservatives (Rush Limbaugh, in particular) said nearly A YEAR AGO that somehow the UE numbers would magically get under 8%, just before the election.
The difference here is that people now KNOW those numbers are fishy. You forgot that, just a month ago, when unemployment went from 8.2% to 8.1%, EVEN THE AP ARTICLES cited that such a drop was due mainly to people leaving the workforce. But, don't take my word for it:

The gains in "created" jobs were seen most in those that had to take 2nd part time jobs due to economic hardship.
It isn't a good report at all, that much should be clear.
