Personally, I think the problem between Israel and palestine has been exhausted and it's time for both sides to make amends and find a true path for peace.
I was a big fan of the Faisal-weizmann agreements, as well as the approach that Yitzhak Rabin took. Unfortunately, no matter who gets what, there is always a desire to have more (human nature). The arabs get their land, they grow as a people and then they want to expand into neighboring territories. The same goes for the Jews. We want more land and would prefer that Gaza in its entirety would return under Israeli control (not to mention a good part of the west bank), BUT compromise is needed.
People are dying. We are all part of the human race after all...

I'm guessing it's in the Israeli's benefit to keep the current status-quo, ensuring the Palestinians don't have fully-fledged country that could have a proper army 'within' the Isreali territory.
A few stray deaths by rocket every now and then are probably viewed as 'tolerable' and history shows that giving in to enemy demands and reforms can be viewed as a sign of weakness and lead to the unraveling of the whole system ie: Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc.
Once a little is given, people see their chance and demand more. It's human nature.

The deal between the ANC and White Afrikaner National Party provided for proportional representation with each party's organization deciding who would fill the proportion of seats they won in an election. This has proved to be a catastrophe because it means the ANC, which gets 65% of the vote simply nominates its 65% of seat holders, and so there is no effective opposition within the ANC, as there might be if seats were geographically elected. Democratic centralism indeed! This has made the resulting government hugely corrupt. The old Broederbond of white Afrikaners has been replaced by an even smaller ANC clique of incompetent, corrupt politicians and crony capitalists Black South Africans.

AIDS denialism by Thambo Mbeki, Mandela's successor, killed not only 2.5 million, largely Black South Africans because of appallingly ignorant health policy based on denying AIDS existed; it also killed one of Mandela's sons. The White, Colored (Mixed Race) and Indian South Africans ignored the government's delusions and largely protected themselves from AIDS. Not so the Black South African population. Imagine the uproar if this had been done by the white Apartheid government?
Cry the beloved country indeed! And in case you think Johnson's case is racist, he points out how massively more successful neighboring Botswana has been by taking a different tack. This was not inevitable. This was path dependent, was the particular tragedy of the incompetent ANC leadership. !

South Africa is now the murder, rape and baby-rape capital of the world.
The main issue here is rampant MURDER, death and rape.
And specifically the LEVEL of brutality.
Does a human being rape babies and children in front of parents.....? Or rape BABIES full-stop?
And rape a man in front of his wife after torturing them....and then killing them? Would you like to die like that....?
They wait in peoples houses till people come back so they torture them and get a kick out of it. Sometimes they don't even steal anything.
There are also many cases of mass arsonists burning white people's farms.....and there are indications of government support in these actions as well as farm murders.
70 000 white people have been massacred since 1994. Over 4000 of them farmers.
Genocide Watch has published several articles and videos on this and point figures at government involvement as well as classifying whites at level 6 out of 8 on the Genocide Scale....7 is Genocide and 8 the aftermath.
