Eat as many calories as you can without gaining fat, keep carbs high. The opposite of another popular approach. :D

When you going to post your pics? ;D

I don't get it.
If he eats as many calories as he wants (way above the 3,500 caloric threshold that is assumed to promote weight gain) and keeps carbs high, where does the weight loss come from?

Why not do cardio for health though? Bike riding running , swimming, etc.. all make me feel awesome. It's something I've missed out on for so long. If there's one piece of advice I would give it's do cardio.

He didn`t eat as many as he wanted. Nobody said that. Started with 2000 to get down to 155, then from 155 lbs to 176 he went to 2500 calories-3300 where there is a small, small deficit and maintenance.

I stopped counting all this crap a while ago. Only carbs I count. What does 2,500 cals look like
a few chicken breasts, a bunch of veggies, maybe an omelette, and a burger?

Don`t fool yourself thinking Carbohydrates are in any way the enemy. They aren`t. How many people have I posted in single digits, lifetime natural, who kept calories and carbs high throughout?
I am purposely posting other people than me as I am removing myself from the equation (although I follow the same thing-higher calories, high carbs, eat what you want) in order for people to see that the high calorie, high carb approach does indeed work well.
-

No reason to count carbs at all. Just overall calories. Carbs are not the enemy at all.
2500 can look like whatever you want it to, but chances are, you will overestimate if you don`t count. If you are in a surplus for any amount of sustained time, you will gain fat. Best to know what you are eating.
Especially if you cook elaborate meals where fats are incorporated in the dish as binders or what not.

It is actually. Then when I do post mine, I can hear all the usual bullshit that will surely come. Drugs, "you didn`t eat that", pics are 15 years old, photoshop, hired a professional to take pics to make you look better and on and on and on.
You will be the first to know when I post a picture. How does that work out for you? Calipers read 8 percent today at a body weight of 173.1 this morning. My best so far.

Why do you keep saying 3500 calories? Where are you pulling this number from? ??? Some may be able to go over that number, but this particular individual is consuming 3300 daily at the moment.

Adonis owning minds in this thread.

There is no reason he would gain 20 pounds of muscle just by adding calories anymore than he would lose muscle for being in a "deficit".
-
99% of people that read this thread and decide to try and achieve a lean physique by what TA has said will fail. He is
a) not giving us the whole story or
b)not telling us that that individual has amazing genetics and this is something that most can not achieve

Actually I don't see any difference in the second or third pic other than the angle. All I see is a guy who looks to have lost about 15 pounds of fat. For all we know he may have just done an hour of cardio everyday and not changed his diet at all.
-
yes dishusted, i see the same thing.
so took the guy 10 months to get so lean.
big deal, if he done that on less calories guess what would have taken less time.
he did it alegedly on 3500 cals of carbs without getting fat, this means, he was very active in those 10 months, i suspect lots of....
swimming activities ;D ;D
He didnt do any cardio..... ::)

Your weight is a balancing act, but the equation is simple: If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight.
Because 3,500 calories equals about 1 pound (0.45 kilogram) of fat, you need to burn 3,500 calories more than you take in to lose 1 pound. So if you cut 500 calories from your typical diet each day, you'd lose about 1 pound a week (500 calories x 7 days = 3,500 calories). It isn't quite this simple, however, and you usually lose a combination of fat, lean tissue and water. Also, because of changes that occur in the body as a result of weight loss, you may need to decrease calories further to continue weight loss.

Personally, whenever I've wanted to get shredded (6-pack and bodyfat around 10-12% tops) quick, I typically go on a Keto diet with a max of 2,000 calories consumed daily via healthy fats, proteins and minimal carb intake (<75 grams).

So, what's the secret?

Eat more calorie and drink more alcohol to get ripped
-
something fishy, the guy grew into shape by increasing the calories.
even on gear, this is not how itd work
but the guy WONT get any bigger, dude just basically maxed out everything, tons of people are lean like that especially Afro-Americanos

Google Reverse Dieting.

dont roll your mongoloid eyes on me , retard
how do you know what he did, are you perhaps his mother or boyfrend or something ???
Quit being so emotional you little girl! :D
He's rolling his eyes at TA saying that the guy didn't do any cardio.
Not rolling his eyes at you silly.

I still don`t understand using 3500 as an arbitrary number for someones Max intake. It will always vary depending on a persons metabolism and activity. Some will be able to lose on 3500 with no cardio, some won`t and so on. You can increase your metabolic capacity certainly to handle more calories without doing any more activity than you currently do.

I am not sure how they arrived at that number.
Typically, I see it used as a reference for potential weight gain once caloric intake surpasses it.
I think the young man has a nice build, albeit on the smaller side.

Doesn`t make sense genius, see above.
If some twink can eat 3600 calories a day and not gain any weight and then he eats 3500, how is he going to gain a lb of body weight?
Understand now?
-
This whole entire thread is ridiculous. There is not a 35 pound weight different in the two pictures.

Ive been dieting totally differently, concerning myself only with total caloric intake, and my daily meals usually look like this -
4 whole eggs w/salsa and 2 pieces of toast w/butter
3 scoops whey protein with fat free milk
8-10 oz baked chicken thighs marinaded or seasoned with various things and white rice w/butter
8-10 oz ribeye of new york for dinner, white rice w/butter
Basically been eating semi-clean but with all the trimmings that people usually go without, and I've lost 40 lbs so far. And it's way easier to eat meals that actually have flavor than dry ass chicken breast and brown rice.

So he lost some weight. Good for him.

wtf is it with this place and the broscience here lately.
going for a bike ride outside or just doing any kind of cardiovascular activity that taxes your system in the least will now cause a inability to grow or maintain muscle. gotcha. ever see what a cyclists legs look like, stupid? even recreational cyclists legs? they are not spindles like yours. but yeah someone should tell them all that cardio they are doing is going to impair their ability to 'recover' ::)
shut the fuck up with this parroting broscience stupidity please and think before you talk next time. thanks in advance.

This seems to refer to bodybuilding contestants increasing their calories after a show. They're not losing weight during this time period.
