My #14 is bodybuilding related ;D ;D ;D

Trypticon, the Decepticon city/battle platform/huge as T-Rex, was an awesome Transformers toy back in 1986. In "city mode," you could connect the Stunticon and Combaticon teams to Tryps somehow, making it look more like an actual little city.
Some of the Masterpiece Transformers are pretty impressive, too, though I tend to regard those more as display pieces than actual toys.
The G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line of the 80s and 90s had some kick-ass stuff, too. The Terror Drome, the USS Defiant and its launch complex ... lots of the vehicles were really cool, too. I always liked the COBRA stuff but the Joe team often had bigger shit to mess with, like that one mobile battle fortress. Can't remember its name. (Ah: the "Mobile Command Center." Creative ;) .)

Grimlock of the Dinobots from Generation 1 was the best Transformer ever.

No mid-80s all-metal voltron force action figure? Bah!
-
Give me a pack green Army men and I was a happy kid.
-
Glad to see you had stretch Hulk at number one mate! I would have been sorely disappointed if there was no Stretch Armstrong type toy in the lineup.
(I wanted one so badly as a kid - never got it. Santa hated me....)

Quoted for truth :D

My favourites included the Millennium Falcon, Thundercats Thundertank, He-Man & Transformers figues (im an 80's child!) Unfortunately i buried most of them in my back garden ha ha, the pain of hindsight.

So now that you are all grown up I am guessing the dildo is your new favorite toy.

It's hard to deny Grimlock, that's for sure.
"Me Grimlock no bozo. Me KING!"
I'd put the original Soundwave and Megatron toys up there, too, but as I said, the Masterpiece versions are simply stunning. If I bought a bunch of 'em I don't know that I'd even want to take them out of their packages.
Sixshot was pretty cool, too. The Japanese TF cartoon picked up after "The Return of Optimus Prime" and did a whole different thing with the Headmasters (by which point I felt the franchise had jumped the shark, but that's a whole other yarn). Some of it was pretty cool, even if the translated versions are utterly hilarious :D

Still remember my transformer that had a mini cassette that you could put into his chest. That memory has stuck with me for 25 years.
What about those pink muscle men you could buy out of the 25 cent machines?

(http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100216010026/heman/images/c/ce/Stinkor2.jpg)
Why Stinkor never made it
One character that was noticeable in the toys (his plastic mold was mixed with patchouli oil so the smell would never fade, even after 20 years) never made it into the cartoon.
In the batch of episodes dated 1985 from season two of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe we were introduced to the next line of figures; Sy-Klone and Moss Man for the good guys, with Spikor and Two Bad for the bad guys. Keen followers of the toy line will note that one character did not make the transition in that particular group. Stinkor!
It is understandable why such a character cannot make the transition from toy to screen. His power of smell is hard to work into a storyline. Having said that, the mini comic that came with Stinkor tackled the situation rather well, and gave the character some credibility.
(http://www.he-man.org/assets/images/ctn_episodes/stinkorminicomic.jpg)
As Robert Lamb now explains Filmation were not all that happy with the character.
"I remember Stinkor. I was part of the writing staff when Arthur Nadel and crew took a field trip to Hawthorne, California to Mattel headquarters.
The She-Ra toy line was introduced to us by women designers who displayed how capes could be used as skirts on the dolls.
It was kind of a "Barbie Goes Barbarian" thing.
Then it was the guys' turn and we got our first look at the Horde. The male designers introduced each character with great excitement, relishing every nasty attribute they could name.
The only hitch came when Stinkor was introduced. Arthur immediately vetoed a character that was basically a walking fart joke. Only two skunk characters have worked in cartoons to my knowledge; Pepe Le Pew and Flower from Bambi.
Larry and I thought of a dozen hilarious situations for Stinkor, Hordak, and She-Ra. Things like;
Stinkor enters the room and Hordak turns his arm into a giant match;
Stinkor gives away the Horde's position in an ambush because of his scent;
Stinkor sprays a cloud of gas at the rebels and She-Ra turns her sword into a giant fan and blows the stink back causing the Horde to pass out; that sort of stuff.
There was a character named Perfuma in She-Ra. She and Stinkor would have made a fragrant combination. We even thought of a thirty second moral ending about air pollution, and one about the effects of different foods, like beans, on digestion."

Someone help solve this for me. I was given some as a kid that was a bit before my time. (I will be 30 this November).
I don't know the name of them or have a pic... they are plastic kind of like the ones that GraniteCityDon posted here. But both man and beast. "Space age" type. What made them different were there were man dragons, octo-men, man-horses, etc... their hands would detach and you could insert dozens of different weapons in the sockets. Spinning buzz saws, laser guns, cannons, battle axes, etc.. there were also sockets on their backs, shoulders, etc.. where you could insert things like demon wings, jet packs, spikes, etc....
These were cool as shit and my mom could never find anymore. I had like four of them. We even took them to the toy store and they said that the line was no longer produced.
Any idea?
-
Are you referring to the Micronauts? I think that was their name
-
Give me a pack green Army men and I was a happy kid.
Add some firecrackers and I was happy blowing them up :)

Absolutely. Especially the lame ass radio-man and the mine sweeper guy. They were done.

Ok, on the Army Men and firecracker gig..... here is how my friends and I used to play that game. One of us would get the green and the other one would get the tan army men. We would set them up outside in the back yard "war" style. Like hiding behind a rock or the radio man in a little trench.
Next we had a BB gun and dice. We started off taking turns rolling the dice and whoever had the highest roll got to take the BB gun and take one shot at one of the other person's army men. The goal was to knock all your opponents army men over before he could do yours. But you had to roll the dice every single time. If you were lucky, you would roll higher numbers 6-7 times in a row, beating him each time and therefore getting a chance to pick off more of his men and take the lead. If you rolled doubles, then you got to use a "grenade". Which was a firecracker. Could be tricky as we had taken to locating our soldiers that stood up right and fell over easy almost next to the enemy. You could try that and most likely take out one of yours as well. Or you could try to nail the harder placed ones and most likely just waste a firecracker.
If you rolled snake eyes... you got to call in an "air strike". Which was you got the BB gun and could crank out as many shots as you wanted to until your opponent had complete a 30 Mississippi count. We had a lever action BB gun and would be cranking it back and forth furiously trying to beat his 30 count.
Man.... that was good times. Now days kids just stay in playing that shit online and don't know what real fun is.
-
:)
When I was 6, I used to make this very action figure fuck my sisters barbie dolls and suck their tits.

I have so many old transformers and GI Joes in my parents attic. I'm sure they're worth money. I have the three foot tall transformer from the movie, not Metroplex, I forget the name. All the Dino bots and an Optimus prime.

Holy crap!!! I have not seen those in 20 years. I used to have all of those toys and ones like MASK, thundercats, ghost busters, teenage mutant ninja turtles, and Dino Riders.
I had almost every toy in this list here minus a handful. http://gadgets.gunaxin.com/the-30-best-action-figures-of-the-80s/34730

jesus christ, i almost regressed back to my childhood! What a list, brings back an awful lot of very fond memories. I also owned The Galaxy Rangers, probably not the most well known brand but it was an amazing cartoon and the figures were very good.
On a side note, Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors STILL has the best damned theme tune of all time ;D
