Someone help solve this for me.  I was given some as a kid that was a bit before my time.  (I will be 30 this November).

I don't know the name of them or have a pic...  they are plastic kind of like the ones that GraniteCityDon posted here.  But both man and beast.  "Space age" type.  What made them different were there were man dragons, octo-men, man-horses, etc...   their hands would detach and you could insert dozens of different weapons in the sockets.  Spinning buzz saws, laser guns, cannons, battle axes, etc..  there were also sockets on their backs, shoulders, etc.. where you could insert things like demon wings, jet packs, spikes, etc....

These were cool as shit and my mom could never find anymore.  I had like four of them.  We even took them to the toy store and they said that the line was no longer produced.

Any idea?

Give me a pack green Army men and I was a happy kid.

Add some firecrackers and I was happy blowing them up :)

Absolutely.  Especially the lame ass radio-man and the mine sweeper guy.  They were done.

Ok, on the Army Men and firecracker gig.....  here is how my friends and I used to play that game.    One of us would get the green and the other one would get the tan army men.  We would set them up outside in the back yard "war" style.  Like hiding behind a rock or the radio man in a little trench.

Next we had a BB gun and dice.  We started off taking turns rolling the dice and whoever had the highest roll got to take the BB gun and take one shot at one of the other person's army men.  The goal was to knock all your opponents army men over before he could do yours.  But you had to roll the dice every single time.  If you were lucky, you would roll higher numbers 6-7 times in a row, beating him each time and therefore getting a chance to pick off more of his men and take the lead.  If you rolled doubles, then you got to use a "grenade".  Which was a firecracker.  Could be tricky as we had taken to locating our soldiers that stood up right and fell over easy almost next to the enemy.  You could try that and most likely take out one of yours as well.  Or you could try to nail the harder placed ones and most likely just waste a firecracker.

If you rolled snake eyes... you got to call in an "air strike".  Which was you got the BB gun and could crank out as many shots as you wanted to until your opponent had complete a 30 Mississippi count.  We had a lever action BB gun and would be cranking it back and forth furiously trying to beat his 30 count.

Man.... that was good times.  Now days kids just stay in playing that shit online and don't know what real fun is.

I have so many old transformers and GI Joes in my parents attic. I'm sure they're worth money. I have the three foot tall transformer from the movie, not Metroplex, I forget the name. All the Dino bots and an Optimus prime.

These toys were a part of my childhood collection, anyone else every own them? these are not my pics as i dont have them anymore  :'(

Visionaries & Centurions

Holy crap!!!  I have not seen those in 20 years.  I used to have all of those toys and ones like MASK, thundercats, ghost busters, teenage mutant ninja turtles, and Dino Riders.

I had almost every toy in this list here minus a handful.   http://gadgets.gunaxin.com/the-30-best-action-figures-of-the-80s/34730

jesus christ, i almost regressed back to my childhood! What a list, brings back an awful lot of very fond memories. I also owned The Galaxy Rangers, probably not the most well known brand but it was an amazing cartoon and the figures were very good.

On a side note, Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors STILL has the best damned theme tune of all time  ;D
