Why take Phil off the stage?? Another example of the judging ineptitude and why this "sport" is in the toilet.
Left on stage at least there is a small amount of drama "who will win".
Sadly, Kai holding water,Wolf is huge but has no calves and thats to bad, the rest of him is first place,but, missing muscles, why bother.
Rhoden and Dex looked to have the best balance between size, conditioning and musculature and should be compared to Phil at least put on a show for the crowd.
The judges are well, lets just say, inept.
When the NFL has an inept judge and/ or referee they are removed, the officials are graded on their performance, thats because the NFL is a real leauge/sport.
Why dont we know who each judge is and exactly what their scoring was, boxing does that, another example of how judging has wrecked the entire BB scene.
Phil deserved to win, but, only because others where less deserving.

Dennis smothers Phil in a blanket of far more aesthetic mass. That, my friends is why they pulled Heath away (not out of) the lineup.
Heath is second place. Dennis deserves to win this year's Olympia. He will represent bodybuilding far better than Phil, especially if the powers that be realize that what they have here is (albeit via Russia) something of an association to the Oak. If Dennis stands tall during the evening show, doesn't squat down when he poses but instead holds himself high and accentuates his height and width, he will literally overwhelm the rest of the lineup of small men masquerading as big boys.
If he can pull it off, he needs to throw a few trademark Arnold shots into his routine and the pose down session. The three-quarter back for example. That would show the world he is the heir to the thrown of the Oak, the Myth and the other greats of the past.
Phil is good. Dennis is better. Once more gentlemen, with feeling...The wolf at the top of this hill, is Dennis.

So the only way to grasp anything bodybuilding related is to diet , tan get oiled up in a thong and pose onstage. So not only do you have a chance at winning a trophy you also inherit a some special competitive bodybuilding knowledge that contests are all fixed , then why compete?

Well calves are the least of his problems , Ronnie never had any and he did very well for himself. Maybe , just maybe Wolf has more physique related issues than you can see? But it's easy to tell that you like what you see and that should be good enough for you. Well that's not quite how it works.
Wolf has an awesome base to build on , and in this show he really did improve and he should move up. However he has flaws that can't ever be changed. High lats , long torso , he has great upper back thickness however his back ends abruptly mid back , this is especially apparent in the back double biceps pose. Sure he improved on this marginally but when you tear his poses down you don't find these types of flaws on Phil or even Kai

I agree and for the reason you just said is exactly why Heath is the clear winner. Wolf is incomplete and looks like a work in progress compared to Heath. he does look better in the latspreads compared to Phil but beyond that he gets beat soundly.

Aesthetic mass? ??? why because he has a better taper and wider clavicles? if that's all the judged bodybuilding contests on Wolf would win but ignoring all the other criteria because you like Wolf better isn't going to change the facts. And the facts are Dennis is much more flawed than Heath is.

Look at Dorian by his third Olympia he was tearing muscles , Ronnie at his second Olympia started to come in less than perfect and by his third he was getting worse ( still deserved those wins easily ) but Phil 3rd Olympia business as usual. He's young , as all the tools , he's smart and focused. I agree it would take a miracle for him to lose.

What point were you trying to make with this post? Phil is the clear winner...even his detractors on here think so. He won. Wolf is not going to win, he has the same problems as he's always had. When he comes to the BDB pose Phil and Kai beat him. Period. Dennis' delts overpower his back, and his back detail stops midway. He's always had that large chunk of missing muscle.

This can't be understated. That's how the judges view it. lets compare back double biceps shots Phil complete head-to-toe calves are in proportion with his quads , lower body in balance with his upper , great thickness from wrists-to-toes , his forearms , biceps and triceps all compliment each other , his only real flaw is he's narrow but he's complete.
Wolf like you stated gigantic delts that overpower just about everything in the back shot. His arms are huge and compliment his delts pretty good but his forearms aren't in proportion with his biceps/triceps not like Heaths. His traps are huge and he shows excellent mid-back thickness than it just abruptly ends and his lats are nonexistent in this pose. He has a great taper and gigantic quads and nonexistent calves this fucks up the balance in this pose. He looks like he massive in certain places and others that need to catch up and this makes him look like a work in progress compared to Heath & Kai
He looks much improved but he's not winning the Olympia , it's just not in his cards and it's because of his flaws and not because of his residency or politics.

Wow....all the talks and hype that went on this week leading to today and now we see many guys will have their asses handed to them......Phil is sticking his foot up everyone ass so far........I can only see he will get better by tonight's finals.....the other guys will make some adjustments in the next few hours leading to the finals, Now, who's gonna be 2nd?

Heath is like Dorian he knows what he has to do and he wont deviate from it , every move is calculated to win this show and matched with his genetics it's going to be extremely hard to beat. Not impossible but very hard.
Heath hasn't faltered , yet. He can handle the pressure and has risen to the challenge he's mentally tough unlike Flex who cracked under the pressure with self doubt. Flex said in 98 he started to second guess if he was ready to be Mr Olympia and he started cheating on his diet , etc

Kai is not getting younger. This was his last chance I predict and only because he showed up great last year. Now, he'll have a hard time getting a runner -up spot. Everybody was so excited about this edition but what a disappointment. Phil wins clearly, he 's crisp, not as full as 2011. Wolf deserves second spot. The rest is irrelevant. Ramy will be 6th I'd say. So he'll have to compete at the Arnold probably to re-create momentum.

Dennis smothers Phil in a blanket of far more aesthetic mass. That, my friends is why they pulled Heath away (not out of) the lineup.
Heath is second place. Dennis deserves to win this year's Olympia. He will represent bodybuilding far better than Phil, especially if the powers that be realize that what they have here is (albeit via Russia) something of an association to the Oak. If Dennis stands tall during the evening show, doesn't squat down when he poses but instead holds himself high and accentuates his height and width, he will literally overwhelm the rest of the lineup of small men masquerading as big boys.
If he can pull it off, he needs to throw a few trademark Arnold shots into his routine and the pose down session. The three-quarter back for example. That would show the world he is the heir to the thrown of the Oak, the Myth and the other greats of the past.
Phil is good. Dennis is better. Once more gentlemen, with feeling...The wolf at the top of this hill, is Dennis.
If not 1st, which i seriously doubt to ifbb politics then definitely 2nd or 3rd. Only thing that hurts Dennis right now is that he is not as dry as phil, his glutes are not as striated and no calves.

What they'd want is certainly less drugs and physiques they could somehow relate to even if it's on a idealistic level. Right now, it's to most people's eyes just a freak show. A lot of people couldn't spot a guy on juice even if they saw him injecting his butt cheeks live. Ever talked to average joes about professional sport. Most of them, even educated, think a 6,7ft 240 pounds of pure muscle athlete that jumps higher than Dick Fosbury, runs faster than Jesse Owens and averages a semi-marathon any given Sunday is natural.

The average person doesn't know how far the rabbit hole goes to in sports , I could understand them looking at Lance Armstrong and not thinking that. But maybe I didn't make myself clear. The general perception of when the average person see a picture of a professional bodybuilder is ' steroids ' and not much more.
The ONLY way to try and market the sport to the general public is remove steroids because they already have a negative connotation attached to them. That's never going to happen so trying to cater to the general public when picking a Mr Olympia is the least the judges should be concerned about.

Well, I'm from the other side of the Atlantic and people think soccer players, tennismen, athletes of all sorts are natural. All of them. And how come that baseball scandal happened and nothing in the NFL, NHL, NBA? Don't get me wrong, I think those guys should be allowed to juice to a certain extent 'cause nobody wants to see "natural" sports. But WTF? If MLB is roided up then what the hell is the NFL?

As there's very little hardcore gyms in my neck of the woods, I've worked out in many different gyms, talked to many different people, etc....Most people will spot a heavy juicer of course. A lot of them will actually not see the signs of juicing on guys with bad response, poor training habits but that you would spot on the basis of certain things. But one thing I've seen is that no one has ever had that "It's all steroids" reaction when seeing Bbers like Labrada, DeMey, Paris, Zane, etc... There's a notion of aesthetics that has been completely evacuated from Bbing judging.

He won because he was for at 50% of his wins the best by far (1992, 1993, 1995). Wolf will never win because his right bicep is shit, he lacks calves, has high lats, and despite improvements very little detail in his lower back. Anybody who judges BB can see that Phil the thrill smokes Wolf. Wolf is awesome and huge, but his flaws are too numerous. Deal with second place friend.

So the only way to grasp anything bodybuilding related is to diet , tan get oiled up in a thong and pose onstage. So not only do you have a chance at winning a trophy you also inherit a some special competitive bodybuilding knowledge that contests are all fixed , then why compete?
Well calves are the least of his problems , Ronnie never had any and he did very well for himself. Maybe , just maybe Wolf has more physique related issues than you can see? But it's easy to tell that you like what you see and that should be good enough for you. Well that's not quite how it works.
Wolf has an awesome base to build on , and in this show he really did improve and he should move up. However he has flaws that can't ever be changed. High lats , long torso , he has great upper back thickness however his back ends abruptly mid back , this is especially apparent in the back double biceps pose. Sure he improved on this marginally but when you tear his poses down you don't find these types of flaws on Phil or even Kai
I agree and for the reason you just said is exactly why Heath is the clear winner. Wolf is incomplete and looks like a work in progress compared to Heath. he does look better in the latspreads compared to Phil but beyond that he gets beat soundly.

Exactly because his main competition for years was Ray, Levrone....neither were really close to him, well that ISNT the case now. Phil has numerous guys that can and honestly should have already beaten him...
I love reading how you guys try to compare Dorian to Wolf...its isnt the 90s anymore my friend and they DONT GIVE OLYMPIA titles to guys that:
A: cant speak English fluently
B: aren't ORIGINALLY from the US with that "all american guy" persona
C: serious background "questions"
